Pakistan Origin Card in Kuwait: KD 30 for a New POC, KD 43 to Renew, and the Foreign Spouse Ban
Pakistan Origin Card fee in Kuwait: KD 30 new, KD 43 to renew, and a temporary ban on foreign spouses, per the embassy. See how NADRA differs, plus the papers.

The Pakistan Embassy in Kuwait lists KD 30 for a new Pakistan Origin Card (POC) for an adult, KD 23 for a child under 18, and KD 43 to renew, change or replace an adult card. The same page says POCs for foreign spouses are temporarily banned. NADRA's own page still lists spouses and prices cards in US dollars, so confirm before you apply.
We read the embassy's consular page on 7 November 2026, and compared it with NADRA's POC page as we read it in October. The two do not fully agree. That conflict is the most useful thing for a POC applicant in Kuwait to know, so we set it out below instead of picking one quietly.
Pakistan Origin Card fee in Kuwait starts at KD 30
The Kuwait embassy lists five POC charges. A new card costs KD 30 above 18 and KD 23 below 18. A change, duplicate or renewal costs KD 43 above 18 and KD 15 below 18. Cancelling a Pakistani ID card costs KD 34.
| Service | Above 18 | Below 18 |
|---|---|---|
| New POC | KD 30 | KD 23 |
| Modification, duplicate or renewal with a change of POC | KD 43 | KD 15 |
| Cancelling a NIC, CNIC or NICOP | KD 34 | |
One thing looks odd. The child's renewal, at KD 15, is cheaper than a child's new card, at KD 23, while the adult renewal costs more than an adult's new card. That is what the page shows. Ask the embassy on +965 2532 7649 if your case falls on one of these lines.

NADRA's dollar fee and the embassy's dinar fee do not match
NADRA prices a new POC at USD 150 at the normal speed, USD 200 urgent and USD 250 executive. The Kuwait embassy's KD 30 is well below USD 150 at any recent exchange rate. The embassy's page has no date, so it may be old.
Do not budget on KD 30 alone. NADRA's POC fee and timelines use the dollar rate, and NADRA says the PakID app charges it in rupees after conversion. If you apply on PakID, NADRA's rate is the one you pay. If you apply at the embassy counter, ask which rate applies before you hand over any money.
| Question | Kuwait embassy page | NADRA page |
|---|---|---|
| New adult card | KD 30 | USD 150 normal |
| Foreign spouse | Temporarily banned | Listed as eligible |
| Date on the page | None shown | Read in October 2026 |
| Where to apply | Embassy, with form | PakID app |
Foreign spouses may be refused at the Kuwait embassy
The embassy's page says issuance of POC to foreign spouses is temporarily banned. NADRA lists a foreigner married to a Pakistani as eligible. Neither page explains the difference, so a foreign spouse in Kuwait should ask the embassy before paying.
Other routes may help while this stays unclear. A foreign spouse can look at a family visit visa to Pakistan, which is a different document with its own rules. Hajj pilgrims have a separate case, because the ministry has a process for a POC card holder spouse on the Pak Hajj app.

The embassy asks for a form, two photos and proof of origin
Fill the POC form in block letters. Add two passport photos, a renunciation letter or an affidavit, a copy of your foreign passport, an attested marriage certificate if you are married, and at least one proof that you are of Pakistani origin.
The renunciation letter is for a dual status country, and the affidavit is for a single status country. Status here means whether that country allows dual nationality with Pakistan. Ask if you are unsure which applies.
- Decide on your route: embassy counter or NADRA's PakID app.
- Fill the POC form in block letters.
- Add two photos and a copy of your foreign passport.
- Add the renunciation letter or affidavit that fits your nationality.
- Add one proof of origin from the list below.
- Book an appointment through the embassy's page and pay.
Accepted proof of Pakistani origin is any one of these: a copy of a Pakistani or foreign passport, a CNIC, NICOP or NIC, proof of property you own in Pakistan, or a blood relative's CNIC or NICOP. If married to a Pakistani, add your spouse's passport and CNIC or NICOP copy. The embassy can ask for any further paper if it has doubts.

Track your POC with the NADRA receipt number
The embassy says you can track a POC on NADRA's website using your NADRA receipt number without the first two zeros. For the checklist and further details, it points to UAN 111-786-100. In Kuwait, the embassy's exchange is +965 2532 7649.
The NADRA desk answers on extension 821, and on WhatsApp at +92 321 0785558. Consular matters are on extension 820. The embassy accepts papers from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, Sunday to Thursday, and is at Villa 440, Street 108, Block 12, Jabriya.
If you hold a POC and travel to Pakistan, watch its date. An expired card can cause trouble at the airport, and the landing permit rule for an expired NICOP or POC is worth reading before you book. POC holders buying property may also want the filer rate for overseas Pakistanis.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read the Embassy of Pakistan in Kuwait's consular page and contact page on 7 November 2026. NADRA's dollar rates and its eligibility list are as we read them on 12 October 2026. The embassy's page carries no date, and we have not asked the embassy to explain the conflict.
