Pakistan's under-15 football team finished the FIFA U-15 World Cup in Baku with a 4-2 win over Djibouti on Friday 30 October, and FIFA's results put them ninth of the 32 teams in Tier F. After two points in the group stage, Pakistan won four of their five tier matches, scoring 22 goals and conceding 4. Their only defeat in the tier stage was a penalty shoot-out against Nepal. Below you will find all five tier results in Pakistan time, the full ten-match record, and what we can and cannot say about the placing.
We read every score in FIFA's own match data on 31 October 2026. FIFA lists kick-offs in UTC, and we added five hours for Pakistan time. Baku is one hour behind Pakistan. The group-stage scores were covered on 27 October in our report on Pakistan U15's group results in Baku.
Pakistan won four of five tier matches, scoring 22 goals
Pakistan beat Tonga 6-1, drew 0-0 with Nepal and lost the shoot-out 4-3, then beat Bahamas 5-0, Cook Islands 7-1 and Djibouti 4-2. That is 22 goals for and 4 against in the tier stage, by our count of FIFA's results.
| Date | Round | Match | Score | Kick-off, PKT |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wed 28 Oct | Round of 32 | Tonga v Pakistan | 1-6, won | 10:00 am |
| Wed 28 Oct | Round of 16 | Nepal v Pakistan | 0-0, lost 4-3 on penalties | 4:45 pm |
| Thu 29 Oct | Quarter-final, places 9 to 16 | Bahamas v Pakistan | 0-5, won | 3:30 pm |
| Thu 29 Oct | Semi-final, places 9 to 12 | Cook Islands v Pakistan | 1-7, won | 9:45 pm |
| Fri 30 Oct | Final, 9th place | Pakistan v Djibouti | 4-2, won | 1:45 pm |
All five games were at the Hovsan Competition Complex near Baku. The format is eight a side on small pitches, so big scores are more common than in full-size football. Even so, 7-1 and 6-1 wins are a clear step up from the group week.

The Nepal shoot-out sent Pakistan into the bracket for places 9 to 16
Tier F worked like a full placement tournament. Every team kept playing after a defeat, and each loss moved it into a lower bracket. Pakistan's 4-3 shoot-out loss to Nepal in the round of 16 moved them into the bracket deciding places 9 to 16.
FIFA's data labels each match by the matches it came from. Pakistan's quarter-final pairs the losers of two round of 16 games, and their final pairs the winners of the semi-finals among those losers. That is the ninth-place match. The match labels are FIFA's; the ninth place is our reading of them, because FIFA's feed does not print a final position.
- Tier F winners: New Zealand beat Ethiopia 2-1 in the top final at 10:00 am PKT on 30 October.
- Nepal: the team that beat Pakistan on penalties lost the semi-final to New Zealand on penalties and then beat Grenada 2-1, which on our reading is third place.
- Djibouti: reached the ninth-place match by beating Montserrat 7-6 on penalties after a 2-2 draw.
Nepal finishing third, while Pakistan beat every other side they met after that shoot-out, says the gap at the top of this tier was one kick.
Pakistan's full U-15 World Cup record is 4 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats
Across ten matches in Baku, Pakistan won four, drew three and lost three, counting the 0-0 with Nepal as a draw even though it was lost on penalties. They scored 26 goals and conceded 15. Every win came in the tier stage, against sides closer to their level.
| Stage | Played | Won | Drawn | Lost | Goals |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Group AD, 24 to 26 Oct | 5 | 0 | 2 | 3 | 4-11 |
| Tier F, 28 to 30 Oct | 5 | 4 | 1 | 0 | 22-4 |
| Total | 10 | 4 | 3 | 3 | 26-15 |
The table counts the Nepal match as a draw, because it finished 0-0 before penalties. If you count it as a defeat, the record is 4 wins, 2 draws and 4 defeats. The group-stage losses came against Gambia, South Sudan and Cyprus.
