Pakistan U19 play India U19 in the Asia Cup on Sunday 8 November 2026 at 10 am Pakistan time in Muscat, Oman. It is the second group game for both sides and a repeat of the last final, which Pakistan won by 191 runs. Farhan Yousuf leads Pakistan and Lakshya Raichandani leads India.
The Asian Cricket Council's fixture list shows the 10 am start, which we read on 5 November. Below are both squads, the ground, what each team needs to reach the semi-finals on 12 November, and what we could not confirm about the broadcast or the opening results.
The match starts at 10 am PKT on 8 November
The first ball is due at 10 am PKT, which is 9 am in Muscat. The ACC list shows "10:00 AM PST", and we read that as Pakistan Standard Time because it matches earlier reports. Every match is 50 overs a side.
A 50-over game that starts at 10 am should end at about 5:30 pm, if the weather holds and both innings run full length. That is a long Sunday, and a good one, since the same day has Abu Dhabi T10 matches in the evening for anyone who wants more cricket.
| Detail | What we read |
|---|---|
| Match | Pakistan U19 v India U19, Group A |
| Date | Sunday 8 November 2026 |
| Start | 10 am PKT, 9 am in Muscat |
| Format | 50 overs a side |
| Ground (PCB list) | OCA Ground 1 |
| Ground (BCCI list) | OCC Turf 1 |

The two boards name the ground differently
The Pakistan Cricket Board lists OCA Ground 1, while the Board of Control for Cricket in India lists OCC Turf 1. Both are in Muscat. These may be two names for one ground, but neither release says so.
That only matters if you are in Oman and plan to go. If so, check the ground with the Oman Cricket Academy on the morning of the match. For anyone at home, it makes no difference.
Pakistan's 15 are led by Farhan Yousuf
Farhan Yousuf also captained Pakistan in the last final against India. The PCB release of 4 November repeated the same 15 players it named on 27 October. Abdul Qadir and Hamza Zahoor are the wicketkeepers, and the side reached Oman early to get used to the heat.
| Role | Pakistan U19 players |
|---|---|
| Captain | Farhan Yousuf |
| Wicketkeepers | Abdul Qadir, Hamza Zahoor |
| Batters and all-rounders | Usman Khan, Hayam Khan, Jahangir Bilal, Huzaifa Ahsan, Ahmed Hussain, Hasnain Abbas Dar |
| Spinners | Mohammad Huzaifa, Niqab Shafiq |
| Rest of the attack | Abdul Subhan, Mohammad Seyam, Ali Raza, Rizwanullah |
The role groups are as reported with the squad. Thirteen of the 15 played in the 3-1 Youth ODI series win over England in September, so this is a settled group. More on how they were picked is in our report on the Pakistan U19 squad.
India's 15 are led by Lakshya Raichandani
Lakshya Raichandani captains India, with Yashbardhan Singh Chauhan as vice-captain. The BCCI named 15 players on 30 October and no standby players. Anvay Dravid and Rajat Baghel are the two wicketkeepers, and Aaryavir Sehwag is also in the side.
The full list is Lakshya Raichandani, Aaryavir Sehwag, V.K. Vineeth, Yashbardhan Singh Chauhan, Kushagra Ojha, Arjun Rajput, Manal Chauhan, Anvay Dravid, Rajat Baghel, V. Yashveer, Aryan Savsani, Mohit Ulva, Kavya Patel, Shavin Vinod and Ishan Sood.
India lost that last final by 191 runs at the ICC Cricket Academy Ground in Dubai, so expect them to want this one badly. The other teams' lists are in our U19 Asia Cup 2026 squads page.
Two teams from each group reach the semi-finals
Group A has Pakistan, India, the UAE and Nepal. The top two go through to the semi-finals on 12 November, and the final is on 14 November. So this game helps a lot, but it does not decide a place on its own.
- Pakistan were due to play the UAE on 6 November.
- Pakistan play India on 8 November.
- Pakistan play Nepal on 10 November.
- The semi-finals are on 12 November, if Pakistan finish in the top two.
- The final is on 14 November.
A win over India on Sunday would leave Pakistan needing little from the Nepal game. A loss would make that last group match a must-win in practice, and net run rate could then decide the order. We have not read the tournament's tie-break rules, because the playing conditions are not on the pages we could open.

The broadcaster and opening results are not confirmed
We could not confirm a broadcaster in Pakistan or the results of the 6 November games at an official source. The ACC's site did not load its results for us on 7 November, and the PCB's site refused our connection.
Tapmad's home page, read on 7 November, did not list the U19 Asia Cup. So we will not send you to a channel we cannot name. Check PTV Sports and the sports apps you already use on Sunday morning. The full fixture list is in our U19 Asia Cup schedule in Pakistan time.
