Pakistan Women Squad for Emerging Nations Trophy 2026: Muneeba Ali Leads 14 Players, Fixtures From 12 November
Pakistan named 14 players for the Women's Emerging Nations Trophy, 12 to 25 November 2026, led by Muneeba Ali. See every name, the fixtures and the venue doubt.

Pakistan have named a 14-player squad for the ICC Women's Emerging Nations Trophy 2026, from 12 to 25 November, with Muneeba Ali Siddiqui as captain and Ayesha Zafar as vice-captain. Regular captain Fatima Sana misses it to play in Australia's Women's Big Bash League.
The board announced the squad on Tuesday 27 October. Below are all 14 names with what each did in the National Women's T20 that finished a day earlier, Pakistan's group fixtures, the camp dates and the one detail that does not add up: where the tournament is being played.
Muneeba Ali captains a 14-player Pakistan squad
Muneeba Ali Siddiqui leads and keeps wicket, with Ayesha Zafar as her deputy. Twelve players kept their places from Pakistan's last assignment, and Sadaf Shamas and Waheeda Akhtar were recalled. Gull Feroza, named best wicketkeeper-batter of the national T20, is the second keeper.

| Player | Role | National Women's T20 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Muneeba Ali Siddiqui | Captain, wicketkeeper | 156 runs in the league stage |
| Ayesha Zafar | Vice-captain, batter | 256 runs, top of the league-stage list |
| Eyman Fatima | Batter | 254 runs, including 100 off 49 balls |
| Sadaf Shamas | Batter | 285 runs, the tournament's leading batter |
| Gull Feroza | Wicketkeeper-batter | Best wicketkeeper-batter award |
| Eman Naseer | Batter | 20 off 12 balls in the final |
| Saira Jabeen | Batter | Played the Asian Games semi-final |
| Shawaal Zulfiqar | Batter | Top run-scorer for Pakistan at the Asian Games |
| Nashra Sundhu | Left-arm spinner | Leads the spin attack |
| Momina Riasat | Spinner | 15 wickets, including 4 for 1 |
| Tuba Hassan | Spinner | 13 wickets including the final |
| Umm-e-Hani | Spinner | 3 for 10 in the Asian Games bronze match |
| Tasmia Rubab | Fast bowler | 9 wickets in the league stage |
| Waheeda Akhtar | Fast bowler | Recalled |
The national T20 figures are from the board's tournament tables and match reports as recorded in our coverage of the most runs and wickets in the National Women's T20 and the final won by Strikers by one run. Tuba Hassan's 13 is our sum of her 11 league wickets and 2 in the final.
Fatima Sana misses the event to play the Big Bash
Fatima Sana is out because she is playing her first Women's Big Bash League season in Australia, for Perth Scorchers. She is available for their opening eight games, which run through most of November and clash with this tournament.
That is a real loss. Fatima captained Pakistan to the Asian Games bronze in September and was the side's leading wicket-taker there. Her dates in Australia are in our report on Fatima Sana's Perth Scorchers fixtures.
Ten teams play 30 matches, with the final on 25 November
The tournament has ten teams in two groups of five. Each group plays a single round robin, the top three from each group go into a Super Six, and each of those teams plays three more matches. The top two meet in the final on Wednesday 25 November.
| Group A | Group B |
|---|---|
| Sri Lanka | Pakistan |
| Ireland | Bangladesh |
| Scotland | Thailand |
| Papua New Guinea | Netherlands |
| United Arab Emirates | Zimbabwe |

Twenty group games, nine Super Six games and the final make 30, which matches the published total. Bangladesh and Zimbabwe are the other Full Members in Pakistan's group, and the opening game against Bangladesh is likely to decide who tops it.
Pakistan play Bangladesh first, on 12 November
A published fixture list for the 2026 edition shows Pakistan's four group matches as Bangladesh on 12 November, Thailand on 13 November, the Netherlands on 15 November and Zimbabwe on 16 November. The list shows all games as T20s. The board's announcement did not include fixtures.

- Thursday 12 November: Pakistan v Bangladesh.
- Friday 13 November: Pakistan v Thailand.
- Sunday 15 November: Pakistan v Netherlands.
- Monday 16 November: Pakistan v Zimbabwe.
- 20, 22 and 23 November: Super Six matches, if Pakistan finish in the top three.
- Wednesday 25 November: final.
The same list gives start times in Indian time, which work out at 12:30 pm PKT for the first two Pakistan games and 8 am PKT for the last two. Treat those as provisional until the ICC confirms them, for the reason below.
Reports differ on whether it is in Ajman or Bangkok
The board's announcement, as reported, says the tournament is in Ajman, in the UAE, and that the squad flies to the UAE after its camp. The published fixture list we read places every match at two grounds in Bangkok, Thailand, where the first edition is reported to have been played in 2025.
We could not reach an ICC page for the 2026 event to settle it. The board's word is the more recent one and the squad's travel plan follows it, so Ajman is the likelier answer. If the venue is Ajman, the published start times may also change. We will correct this when the ICC posts its fixtures.
The squad meets in Lahore on 6 November for a three-day camp
The players assemble in Lahore on Friday 6 November and train on 7, 8 and 9 November before leaving for the UAE. Wahab Riaz is the team mentor, Ayesha Ashar the manager and Imran Farhat the batting coach.
The other staff are Abdur Rehman for spin, Umaid Asif for fast bowling, Abdul Majeed for fielding, Waleed Ahmed as analyst, Moeen for strength and conditioning and Dur Samand as physiotherapist. For the rest of the season's women's fixtures, see the Pakistan women's cricket calendar for 2026-27.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read two published reports of the board's squad announcement on 28 October 2026, which gave the names, groups, format of the stages, camp dates and staff. We read a published fixture list for the 2026 edition the same day for Pakistan's match dates and the Bangkok venues. The ICC's tournament page for 2026 returned an error, and the Pakistan Cricket Board's site (pcb.com.pk) refused our tools, so neither the venue nor the fixtures are confirmed by an official page. Fatima Sana's Perth Scorchers place is from Cricket Australia's WBBL|12 squad list. National T20 figures come from the board's tables as recorded in our linked reports. Time conversions are ours.
