Pakistani Passport Fee in Italy: €35 to €620, Milan and Rome (2026 List)
Pakistani passport fee in Italy: €35 for 5 years and €55 for 10 years at Milan, urgent and lost fees, the permesso di soggiorno rule and who can collect it.

A Pakistani e-passport in Italy costs €35 for 36 pages and 5 years on normal processing, and €55 for 10 years, on the fee table of the Consulate General of Pakistan in Milan. Urgent processing costs €60 and €90. A lost passport costs double the first time and four times the second time, up to €620.
We read the Milan consulate's passport page and its euro fee table on 25 October 2026, and the Rome embassy's passport page the same day. Below is every row of the table, the papers Milan asks for (your permesso di soggiorno is one), how to track your passport before you travel to collect it, and the rules that trip up parents.
Pakistani passport fee in Italy for 36 pages
Milan charges €35 for a new or renewed 36 page e-passport valid 5 years and €55 for 10 years on normal processing. Urgent costs €60 and €90. After a first loss the fee doubles to €70 or €110, and after a second loss it is €140 or €220.
| 36 pages | 5 years, normal | 5 years, urgent | 10 years, normal | 10 years, urgent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| New or renew | €35 | €60 | €55 | €90 |
| First time lost | €70 | €120 | €110 | €180 |
| Second time lost | €140 | €240 | €220 | €360 |
The table is titled "Fixation of E-Passport Fee in Euro", so these are e-passport prices, not the old machine readable book. A third loss is not on the table at all; Milan refers those cases to the Director General of Immigration and Passports for approval.

Fees for a 72 page passport in Italy
A 72 page e-passport costs €65 for 5 years and €95 for 10 years on normal processing in Milan, or €105 and €155 urgent. A first loss costs €130 to €310, and a second loss €260 to €620. Milan lists no 100 page fee.
| 72 pages | 5 years, normal | 5 years, urgent | 10 years, normal | 10 years, urgent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| New or renew | €65 | €105 | €95 | €155 |
| First time lost | €130 | €210 | €190 | €310 |
| Second time lost | €260 | €420 | €380 | €620 |
These are the same euro amounts the Pakistan embassy in Madrid publishes for Spain. That is useful if you split time between the two countries: the price does not change, only the papers proving where you live.
Pick 10 years unless the applicant is under 15
At €55 for 10 years, a 36 page passport costs €5.50 a year, against €7 a year for the €35 five year book. Milan says children under 15 get 5 years only, and a 5 year passport cannot later be converted to 10 years.
The per year figures are our arithmetic from Milan's table. Urgent adds €25 on a 5 year book and €35 on a 10 year book. The conversion rule matters: if you choose 5 years to save €20 today, you pay a full fee again in five years. In rupees the logic is the same, as the 5 or 10 year passport fee in Pakistan shows.

Bring your permesso di soggiorno and a CNIC with your husband's name
Adults must appear in person with an original valid CNIC or NICOP and a valid permesso di soggiorno, each with a photocopy. Married women need a card that already shows the husband's name. Children need the parents' passports and ID cards and one parent present.
For a child born in Italy, Milan asks for the Italian commune's birth certificate (certificato di nascita) showing both parents' names. For a child born in Pakistan, bring the NADRA birth certificate, CRC (Form B) or FRC, plus the parents' passports and ID cards. Bring any previous passport too.
- Check your CNIC or NICOP is valid and shows the right marital status.
- Gather your permesso di soggiorno and copies of every document.
- Go to the consulate in Milan or the embassy in Rome in person.
- Choose 36 or 72 pages, 5 or 10 years, normal or urgent, and pay.
- Track the application online, then collect the passport in person.

Milan also says a passport can be applied for online through the Pak Identity app. If your marital status changed, update the ID card first; the steps for changing the husband's name on a passport from abroad follow that order.
Track first, and only you or next of kin can collect
Milan asks applicants to track the passport on the consulate's online tracker before coming to collect it. Passports applied for at the consulate are not delivered to homes. Only the applicant or the next of kin can collect, in person at the consulate.
That rule saves a wasted train trip to Milan from Brescia or Bergamo. Use the consulate's tracker for the counter status, and the general passport tracking by token and SMS for the printing stage in Islamabad.
Rome serves Italy, Albania, Slovenia and San Marino
The embassy in Rome and the consulate in Milan both issue passports to Pakistanis in Italy. Rome also serves Albania, Slovenia and San Marino. Rome says expired passports are not extended, and lost or emergency cases are handled case by case.
Rome asks for original CNIC, NICOP and residence permit with photocopies. Its page does not show a fee table, so we could not confirm whether Rome charges exactly Milan's amounts. Ask at the counter before you pay. If your passport is lost while travelling, the online lost passport route for overseas Pakistanis may be quicker than a consulate visit.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read the Consulate General of Pakistan Milan's passport services page and its e-passport fee table image, and the Embassy of Pakistan Rome's passport and travel documents page, on 25 October 2026. Rome publishes no fee table, so we could not confirm its fees. Per year costs are our arithmetic. Neither page states processing times or a 100 page fee.
