A Pakistani e-passport at the embassy in Bishkek now costs US$45 for a normal 5 year, 36 page passport and US$65 for a 10 year one, under a new fee list the embassy says applies from 23 October 2026. An urgent 10 year, 72 page passport costs US$190, and a lost passport costs two or four times the normal fee. Below is the full dollar table, the papers to bring, the embassy's hours and the fees students pay for degree attestation and birth registration.

We read the Embassy of Pakistan in Bishkek's pages on mofa.gov.pk on 6 November 2026. The embassy serves Pakistanis living in Kyrgyzstan, and a large share of them are medical students. Its own notices are addressed to "the Pakistani diaspora and student fraternity".

The Bishkek embassy charges US$45 to US$130 for a 5 year e-passport and US$65 to US$190 for a 10 year one, depending on pages and speed. The same fee covers a new passport, a renewal and a modification, such as a name change.

The embassy's table is headed "With effect from 23 October 2026" and "E-Passport fee, New / Renewal / Modification". Pakistan has been moving applicants from the old machine readable passport to the e-passport, which our page on the MRP stop from 15 October explains.

In rupees, at the State Bank's interbank rate of Rs 276.67 on 5 November 2026, US$45 is about Rs 12,450 and US$65 is about Rs 17,984. The same 36 page e-passport costs Rs 9,000 for 5 years inside Pakistan, so a student who is home for the holidays may pay less by renewing there.

A lost passport costs double the first time and four times the second

If you lose your passport in Kyrgyzstan, the first replacement costs exactly twice the normal fee and the second costs four times. A first loss of a normal 5 year, 36 page passport is US$90. A second loss of an urgent 10 year, 72 page passport is US$760.

Bring a police report with an English translation. The embassy lists that paper for every lost passport case. Our guide to a lost Pakistani passport abroad covers the first steps, including the police report and the emergency travel document if you must fly home before a new book arrives.

The 10 year passport is the better buy for adults

A normal 36 page passport costs US$9 a year over 5 years and US$6.50 a year over 10 years. If you are an adult and your CNIC or NICOP is valid, the 10 year book saves money. Children under 15 can only get 5 years under DGIP rules.

The per year figures are our arithmetic from the embassy's prices. Students who expect to finish a six year MBBS course in Kyrgyzstan will need a passport that lasts the whole stay, so the 10 year book also saves a second visit.

Bring nine things to the Bishkek embassy

The embassy asks for your original CNIC or NICOP, your current passport, copies of both, and a fee deposit slip. It also asks for a copy of your father's CNIC or your FRC, and a copy of your spouse's CNIC if you are married.

  1. Original CNIC or NICOP.
  2. Original passport, if one was issued.
  3. Copies of the CNIC and passport.
  4. Copy of your father's CNIC, or your Family Registration Certificate (FRC).
  5. Copy of your spouse's CNIC, if married.
  6. Police report with an English translation, only if the passport is lost.
  7. Fee deposit slip.
  8. One passport size photo, not older than six months.
  9. Your phone number and email address.

If your CNIC has expired, renew it first. NADRA's online route works from Kyrgyzstan, and our guide to apply for a NICOP online sets out the steps.

Consular hours, phone and student fees at the embassy

Consular hours are Monday to Friday, 10 am to 4 pm, with a lunch and prayer break from 1 pm to 2 pm on Monday to Thursday. The embassy's Friday break is printed as "1245 to 0215", which we read as 12:45 pm to 2:15 pm.

The embassy is at 37 Serova Bayalinova Street, Bishkek 720033. Its exchange is +996 312 373901 and 373902, and its email is parepbishkek@mofa.gov.pk.

Students also use the embassy for attestation. Its consular fee list, in US dollars and per page, includes these charges.

ServiceFee (US$)
Attestation of degree45
Attestation of school certificate10
Power of attorney36
Birth registration on Form S20
Online police character certificate, Punjab and Balochistan only30

The embassy attests a Kyrgyz document only after the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stamped it. For a degree, it also asks for the university's graduation list and a passport with at least six months of validity. Graduates should then check the PMDC rules for a foreign MBBS degree.

A baby born in Kyrgyzstan needs Form S first

For a child born in Kyrgyzstan, the embassy registers the birth on Form S for US$20. Bring the filled form, the birth certificate authenticated by the Kyrgyz foreign ministry, your marriage certificate, both parents' CNIC and passport copies and two photos of the child. Apply for the child's NICOP after that, then the passport.

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read the Embassy of Pakistan Bishkek's consular fee page, passport page, consular affairs notice, timings and contact page on 6 November 2026. All fees are the embassy's printed figures. The page does not list processing times, so ask the embassy when you apply. Rupee figures are our conversion at the State Bank's 5 November interbank rate.
