Pakistani Passport Fee in Spain: €35 to €620, Madrid and Barcelona (2026 List)
Pakistani passport fee in Spain: €35 for 5 years and €55 for 10 years in Madrid and Barcelona, with urgent and lost fees, payment rules and the papers needed.

A Pakistani passport in Spain costs €35 for 36 pages and 5 years on normal processing, and €55 for 10 years, at the Embassy of Pakistan in Madrid and the Consulate General in Barcelona. Urgent processing costs €60 and €90. The top of the list is €620, for an urgent 72 page, 10 year passport after a second loss.
We read the Madrid embassy's consular charges page on 25 October 2026. Both offices use the same euro table. Below are all the rows, the payment rule that catches people out (no bank transfers), the papers Barcelona asks for, and the other consular fees, such as a power of attorney and an emergency travel document.
Pakistani passport fee in Spain for 36 pages
A new or renewed 36 page e-passport costs €35 for 5 years and €55 for 10 years on normal processing in Spain. Urgent costs €60 and €90. A first lost passport costs double, and a second lost passport costs four times the normal fee.
| 36 pages | 5 years, normal | 5 years, urgent | 10 years, normal | 10 years, urgent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| New or renewal | €35 | €60 | €55 | €90 |
| First time lost | €70 | €120 | €110 | €180 |
| Second time lost | €140 | €240 | €220 | €360 |
The embassy calls this the "E-Passport Fee Structure" for Parep Madrid and Parep Barcelona, so the same price applies whichever office you use. Fees are per document. A family of four renewing together pays four separate fees.

Fees for a 72 page passport in Spain
A 72 page passport costs €65 for 5 years and €95 for 10 years on normal processing, or €105 and €155 urgent. After a first loss it costs €130 to €310, and after a second loss €260 to €620. Spain's table has no 100 page row.
| 72 pages | 5 years, normal | 5 years, urgent | 10 years, normal | 10 years, urgent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| New or renewal | €65 | €105 | €95 | €155 |
| First time lost | €130 | €210 | €190 | €310 |
| Second time lost | €260 | €420 | €380 | €620 |
The 72 page book suits drivers, traders and anyone who fills a passport with Schengen and Gulf stamps. If you travel twice a year or less, the 36 page book is enough. Ask about a 100 page passport at the counter if you need one; the Spanish table simply does not list it.
The 10 year passport is the cheaper choice for adults
At €55 for 10 years, a 36 page passport costs €5.50 a year. At €35 for 5 years, it costs €7 a year. Any adult who expects to stay a Pakistani passport holder should pick 10 years.
These sums are our arithmetic from the embassy's table. Urgent processing adds €25 on a 5 year book and €35 on a 10 year book. Other Pakistani missions, such as Milan, state that children under 15 get 5 years only, so the choice is really for adults. The same pattern holds at home, as the 5 or 10 year passport fee in Pakistan shows in rupees.

Pay by card or cash at the counter, never by bank transfer
The Madrid embassy says payments by bank transfer will not be accepted under any circumstances and are non-refundable. Pay in person at the counter, by card or cash, when you hand in your application. This applies to every consular service.
The warning is in bold on the embassy's own page, which tells you people have lost money this way. Do not send a transfer because an agent or a WhatsApp group told you to. The fee is also not refunded if your papers turn out to be incomplete, so check the list below before you pay.
Papers Barcelona asks for, and how to apply
Barcelona lists your current passport, your CNIC or NICOP, your NIE and a copy of your residence permit, each with a photocopy. Minors also need parents' passports and ID cards, and one parent present. You do not fill any form or bring photos.
The Barcelona consulate processes passports only in person. Staff take your photo, signature and fingerprints at the counter. For a lost passport, bring a copy of the lost one, a police loss report, your NADRA card, your NIE or residence or a valid visa, and a copy of your father's ID card.
- Book an appointment on the Barcelona consulate's site, or contact the Madrid embassy.
- Collect your passport, NICOP or CNIC, NIE and residence permit with one photocopy of each.
- Bring a police report and a copy of the old passport if it was lost.
- Pay the fee at the counter by card or cash.
- Give your photo and fingerprints, then keep the receipt for collection.

For a newborn, Barcelona asks for the baby's NADRA record, the original birth certificate, and copies of both parents' passports, ID cards and NIE. Parents abroad can also use the online newborn passport route for children up to two years. Once you have applied, the usual passport tracking by token shows when the book is ready.
Other consular fees in Spain, from €10 to €60
The same Madrid page lists other charges in force since 1 January 2024: €30 for a power of attorney, €10 for an attestation, €60 for a commercial attestation, €20 for an emergency travel document and €25 for renunciation of citizenship.
| Service in Madrid or Barcelona | Fee |
|---|---|
| Power of attorney | €30 |
| Attestation | €10 |
| Commercial attestation | €60 |
| Emergency travel document | €20 |
| Renunciation of citizenship | €25 |
| Certificates, affidavits, authority letters | €20 |
The table also shows a €20 item labelled "PKM" that the page does not explain. Ask the counter before you assume it applies to you. An emergency travel document is a one-way paper to fly home when you have no valid passport; it is not a substitute for renewing.
How Spain compares with other Pakistani missions in Europe
Spain is among the cheapest in Europe for a Pakistani passport. On the official mission pages we read, a 5 year, 36 page normal passport costs €35 in Spain and Milan, €36 in Frankfurt, €40 in The Hague, €41 in Paris and €55 in Athens.
The fee you pay depends on where you apply, not on where you were born. A Pakistani in Spain cannot apply cheaper elsewhere without residence there, because each mission asks for local residence papers. If you live in the UK instead, the Pakistani passport fee in the UK is set in pounds.

Yes. The embassy publishes one e-passport table for both Parep Madrid and Parep Barcelona.

The NIE is your Spanish foreigner identity number. Barcelona asks for it with a photocopy to show you live in its area.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read the Embassy of Pakistan Madrid's consular service charges page and the Consulate General Barcelona's passport page on 25 October 2026. Fees, payment rules and documents come from those two pages. Per year costs and the European comparison are our arithmetic from the mission pages we read the same day. We could not find a 100 page fee for Spain, processing times, or an explanation of the "PKM" item.
