A Pakistani e-passport in Sweden costs SEK 370 for 36 pages and 5 years on ordinary processing, and SEK 540 for 10 years, at the Embassy of Pakistan in Stockholm. Urgent costs SEK 600 and SEK 860. A 72 page book costs SEK 650 or SEK 950 ordinary. The embassy also serves Pakistanis living in Finland.

We read the Stockholm embassy's passport page on 27 October 2026. Below is the full fee table, what a lost passport costs, the email appointment you need before you go, card payment, the papers for adults and children, the three steps for a baby born in Sweden, and how to get the passport back by post.

Pakistani passport fee in Sweden for every book

Stockholm charges SEK 370 for an ordinary 36 page e-passport valid 5 years and SEK 540 for 10 years. Urgent costs SEK 600 and SEK 860. A 72 page book costs SEK 650 and SEK 950 ordinary, or SEK 1,040 and SEK 1,510 urgent.

The 10 year book is only for applicants aged 15 and over. Stockholm lists no 100 page book.

A lost passport costs double, then four times

Stockholm charges double the fee for a first lost passport and four times for a second. A 36 page, 5 year ordinary book therefore costs SEK 740, then SEK 1,480. A third loss goes to the Director General of Immigration and Passports for approval.

The embassy gives the rule, not the amounts. The figures below are our arithmetic, so confirm the sum by email before you pay.

For a lost passport bring your valid NADRA card with a copy, a copy of the police report, and a copy of your Swedish visa or residency proof from the Migration Agency.

Book by email first, then pay by card

Stockholm sees passport applicants by appointment. Email passport@pakistanembassy.se with your name, phone number and the date you want, or call 08 503 530 70 between 14:00 and 16:00, Monday to Thursday. At the embassy, pay by debit or credit card.

The passport section does not take cash. If you prefer cash, deposit it at SEB into the embassy's account, number 5277 10 109 68, with the applicant's full name written clearly on the slip. If the phone line is busy, the embassy asks you to call again later; calls are not answered on holidays.

Papers for adults and children in Stockholm

Adults attend in person with one valid original NADRA card, either a CNIC or a NICOP, the old passport with copies of its first two pages, and a Swedish or Finnish residence permit. Dual nationals bring the other passport. Bring photocopies of everything.

If your CNIC or NICOP has expired, Stockholm sends you to NADRA first. A married applicant's card must already match their marital status, and government employees need an NOC issued within 90 days. The embassy also points to the DGIP online system for renewal only.

Children attend with one parent, but both parents' NADRA cards, Pakistani passports and residence permits must be brought in original. Up to age 10 a Form B, CNIC or NICOP works; from 10, a juvenile card or CRC with fingerprints and photo. For a first passport add the child's Personbevis in English.

  1. Email passport@pakistanembassy.se for an appointment.
  2. Gather your NADRA card, old passport, residence permit and copies.
  3. Pay by card at the embassy, or deposit cash at SEB beforehand.
  4. Give your photo and fingerprints, then answer the interview.
  5. Check status online, then collect with your token and old passport.
Steps to apply for a Pakistani e-passport at the embassy in Stockholm

A baby born in Sweden needs three steps

For a newborn, Stockholm wants three things in order. First register the birth at the embassy with the S-1 form. Then apply for the child's NICOP on NADRA's website using the scanned birth registration. Only then apply for the passport.

Separated or divorced parents bring the court order confirming custody. The custody papers for a child passport follow the same logic in Pakistan. For parents in Pakistan whose baby is abroad, the online newborn passport route is a separate DGIP service.

Collect in person or ask for return by post

Collection runs 09:00 to 12:00 Monday to Thursday and 09:00 to 11:00 on Friday. A parent, spouse or sibling can collect with proof of identity. Return by post is possible on request, with a self-addressed envelope and a printed prepaid label.

Bring the original token and the old passport. Postal return is meant for people in Finland or distant Swedish cities, and the embassy takes no responsibility if the post loses it. From 1 January 2026 PostNord no longer accepts stamps or green return coupons from Finland, so only a printed prepaid label works. After collection, sign or thumb the box on page 2.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read the Embassy of Pakistan Stockholm's passport services page, including its e-passport fee table in Swedish kronor, on 27 October 2026. The page gives lost fees as a rule, so the lost passport amounts are our arithmetic. It lists no 100 page book. We did not test the embassy's phone line or email.
