PCB's U15, U17 and U19 trials for the 2026-27 season are running now in 16 regions, and Phase I ends on 21 October 2026. Lahore is last: U15 on 19 October, U17 on 20 October and U19 on 21 October. Abbottabad region holds its trials on 10, 11 and 12 October, and Bahawalpur on 12, 13 and 14 October.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the trials on 7 October and published a district-by-district schedule as a PDF. We opened that PDF on 9 October and pulled out every trial still to come. Many districts finished in the first week of October, so check your own district first.

PCB age-group trials run in 16 regions until 21 October

Phase I of the PCB men's age-group trials covers U15, U17 and U19 players in 16 regions. Each district holds three days, usually one per age group. District Cricket Association (DCA) coaches, appointed by PCB, run every trial.

The 16 regions are Abbottabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Bahawalpur, Dera Murad Jamali, FATA, Faisalabad, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Karachi, Larkana, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Sialkot and Lahore. Trials began in some centres in the first week of October. Karachi, Multan, Quetta and most of AJK have already finished.

That is the first thing to know. If your district's dates have passed, Phase I is over for you. The PCB release calls this "Phase-I", but it does not say what Phase II involves or when it starts.

Trials still to come from 9 October

These are the districts whose trial dates fall on or after 9 October, as printed in the PCB schedule. In each row the three dates are U15, U17 and U19, in that order. Venues are copied from the PDF, including its spellings.

Several more districts run from 8 to 10 October, so their U19 day is on 10 October. Those include Rawalpindi (Ayub Park Ground No. 2), Sialkot (HPC Sialkot), Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hyderabad (Kohsar Cricket Ground), Khairpur, Jacobabad, Rahim Yar Khan, Muzaffargarh, Pakpattan, Mohmand, Gilgit, and the Islamabad Central and West zones at Junoon Cricket Ground, G-9/1.

Some pages of the PDF are laid out unevenly, so a few dates for Faisalabad, Dera Murad Jamali, Peshawar and Badin are hard to match to an age group. We have left those out rather than guess. Ask the DCA office in those districts.

Upcoming PCB trial dates: Abbottabad 10 to 12 October, Bahawalpur 12 to 14 October, Lahore 19 to 21 October

How to attend your district trial

The PCB has not published an online form for these trials. Players attend the venue in their own district on the day set for their age group. A DCA coach named in the schedule runs each one.

  1. Find your district in the PCB schedule PDF linked from the 7 October release on pcb.com.pk.
  2. Pick the right day. U15, U17 and U19 each have a separate date.
  3. Note the start time where one is printed. Islamabad and Karachi zones list 8:30 am, 9:00 am or 2:00 pm sessions.
  4. Call your DCA before travelling to confirm the age cut-off and the documents they want.
  5. Arrive early in whites with your own kit, and bring a B-Form or CNIC to prove your age.

Steps 4 and 5 are our advice, not PCB rules. The release does not list documents, kit or an age cut-off date. But every age-group event checks age, and turning up without proof is the easiest way to lose your day.

Age rules and fees are not in the PCB release

The PCB release of 7 October gives regions, venues, coaches and dates. It does not state the birth-date cut-off for each age group, and it does not mention any fee. We found no fee anywhere in the schedule PDF.

So be careful with anyone who asks for money to "register" you for these trials. The PCB has not announced a registration fee. If a private academy charges you, that is its own charge, not a PCB one.

Age is checked seriously in junior cricket. The PCB website lists age verification among the services of its National Cricket Academy. Give your true date of birth, and bring the document that proves it.

Where these trials lead

The trials feed the PCB pathway programme, which the board says aims to find and develop young players. Players picked in their region move into regional age-group squads and domestic events such as the National U19 Championship, which is already in its fifth round this season.

That pathway can move fast. Pakistan's U17 side is playing Sri Lanka U17 in Multan this month. If you miss PCB trials, the free Sports Board Punjab cricket academies offer coaching in 11 centres, and the PSB runs a national talent identification system across sports.

Common questions

When are the PCB U19 trials in Lahore?

On 21 October 2026, at five grounds across the city. U15 is on 19 October and U17 on 20 October.

Is there an online form for PCB trials 2026?

No. The PCB release mentions no online form. Players go to their district venue on the set day.

Is there a fee for PCB age-group trials?

The PCB has not announced any fee. Neither the release nor the schedule PDF mentions one.

What is the age limit for U19 trials?

The release does not give a cut-off date. Ask your District Cricket Association before you go.

My district's trial has passed. What now?

Phase I is over for your district. The PCB calls this Phase I but has not announced Phase II dates.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked on 9 October 2026 at about 06:00 PKT. The 16 regions, the purpose, the role of DCA coaches and the Lahore dates come from the PCB media release "PCB announces age-group trials for 2026-27 season", dated 7 October 2026. District venues, coaches and dates come from the PCB schedule PDF "Schedule Phase I Age group Trials 2026-27 updated 1", linked from that release. We read both on pcb.com.pk. Age cut-offs, documents, fees and Phase II dates were not published. The schedule is marked "updated", so it may change again.
