Poland Work Visa From Pakistan: Work Permit, D Visa and Fee

A Poland work visa from Pakistan takes two steps. First your employer in Poland gets you a work permit from the local voivode's office. Then you apply for a national D visa at the Polish Embassy in Islamabad, booked only through e-konsulat.gov.pl. The visa fee is PKR 65,771, and it is not refunded if you are refused.

Poland jobs are advertised heavily by agents in Pakistan, and many of those offers are fake. A real offer always starts with a work permit issued in Poland, in your name.

Poland work visa from Pakistan at a glance

You need a Polish work permit first, then a D-type national visa. The embassy decides within 15 working days of payment, or up to 45 days if it checks further. The visa lasts up to one year, and the fee is PKR 65,771.

The D visa also lets you move around other Schengen countries for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. The final decision at the border still rests with Poland's Border Guard, as the embassy points out.

Step one: the employer gets a Polish work permit

You cannot apply for the work permit yourself from Pakistan. Your employer in Poland applies to the voivode's office, the Urząd Wojewódzki, for the region where you will work. The embassy needs the original permit before it will accept your visa file.

The embassy's checklist asks for the original and a copy of a valid work permit. If Polish rules say no permit is needed for your case, the employer must instead give a letter confirming that it intends to employ you.

It also wants proof that the company is real: its entry in the KRS, Poland's National Court Register, and a signed employment letter on company paper. That letter must give the company's full address, the job, the salary, the expected duration and any accommodation or transport it provides.

The permit fee is charged in Poland and paid by the employer. We could not load a Polish government page with the current permit fee on 30 September 2026, so we do not quote one. If someone in Pakistan asks you to pay "the permit fee" to them, treat it as a warning sign.

Step two: book and apply for the D visa in Islamabad

Book only on e-konsulat.gov.pl. Choose Pakistan, Islamabad, then "National visa - Register form" and "National visa - Work". You enter your details and your permit details, then get an email link and 48 hours to finish the full form. Appointments go by electronic draw.

1. Open e-konsulat.gov.pl and select Pakistan, then Islamabad.
2. In the menu, pick "National visa - Register form", then "National visa - Work".
3. Fill the short form with your data and your work permit data.
4. Open the emailed link and complete the full application within 48 hours. Save and print it.
5. Wait for the draw. If you are picked, you get an appointment by email. If not, you move to the next draw.
6. Go to the embassy on the date with the signed form, the original work permit and your documents.

The embassy is blunt about this. It says e-konsulat is the only official online booking system for Polish consulates, that work visa applicants must not contact the consulate by email, and that consular officers cannot interfere in the draw. Nobody can sell you a guaranteed slot.

You must apply in the consular district where you legally live, and you must apply in person. The embassy does not accept forms by post, fax or email.

Documents for a Poland work visa

Bring the signed form, a recent photo, your passport and old passports, the original work permit, the employer's letter and KRS proof, your experience certificates, a NADRA Family Registration Certificate, travel medical insurance of at least EUR 30,000 and proof of accommodation in Poland.

• Passport issued in the last 10 years, valid 3 months beyond your planned exit, with 2 blank pages, plus all old passports.
• One colour photo, 35 x 45 mm, white background, no older than 6 months, no headwear and no smile.
• Copy of your CNIC and your passport data page.
• Original work permit and a copy.
• Employer's invitation or employment letter, signed and stamped, and the company's KRS registration.
• Work experience and skills certificates, attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
• A no objection certificate (NOC) from your last employer in Pakistan.
• Bank statements for the last six months, and NTN and tax proof and three salary slips where they apply.
• Flight reservation, travel medical insurance of at least EUR 30,000, and proof of accommodation.
• NADRA Family Registration Certificate, and any past visa refusal letters.

The insurance must come from a company on the approved list agreed by the Schengen embassies in Islamabad. Your passport stays at the embassy while your file is processed. Collections are on business days between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm, by you or an authorised person with your CNIC, an authority letter and the visa receipt.

Poland job scams and how to check an agent

The most common scam is a "Poland work permit" sold for a large fee, often with a fake or copied permit. A genuine permit is issued in Poland in your name to a real employer, and the visa appointment comes only from e-konsulat's draw.

Walk away if you see any of these:

• An agent who wants lakhs of rupees before you have seen a permit in your name.
• A promise of a "confirmed" embassy appointment or a "guaranteed" visa.
• A permit you cannot match to a company in Poland's KRS register.
• Requests to pay a Polish fee into a Pakistani bank account or a mobile wallet.

In Pakistan, only an overseas employment promoter licensed by the Bureau of Emigration can legally recruit for jobs abroad. You can check an overseas job agency by its licence number before you pay anything. Workers going abroad on an employment visa also register with the Protector of Emigrants before they fly.

Poland is not the only EU route. The Italy work visa runs on a similar employer-first model with its own quota.
