How PPSC Adjusts the Fee of a Withdrawn Post on Your Next Application Within One Year
PPSC's notice says the fee of a withdrawn post is adjusted automatically on your next online application within one year. Read the rules and apply in time.

Short answer: If the department withdraws a post you paid for, PPSC's system adjusts that fee automatically the next time you apply online, as long as that is within one year of the withdrawal date. The adjustment happens whether or not you finish the application, so submit on time.
Say you paid the fee for a post, and then the department pulled the post. Your money is sitting with the commission. The notice on the PPSC homepage says what happens to it, and it has one condition that is easy to miss.
We read the PPSC notice "Adjustment of fee for withdrawn posts" on its homepage. It is a short one-page document with no date and no reference number. We did not apply for a post, so we did not see the adjustment on a payment screen.
PPSC now adjusts a withdrawn post's fee through its online system
The notice says PPSC has amended its online system to address fee issues for withdrawn posts. The fee paid for a post that the administrative department withdrew is "automatically adjusted by the system" at the candidate's next immediate online apply, inside one year from the date the post was withdrawn.
In plain words, you do not need to file a separate claim. The old fee is carried against your next PPSC application. The notice does not mention a cash refund, so we do not promise one.
| Point | What the PPSC notice says |
|---|---|
| Who withdraws the post? | The administrative department, not PPSC |
| How is the fee handled? | Adjusted automatically by the system |
| When? | At the next immediate online apply |
| Time limit? | Within one year from the withdrawal date |
| If I do not submit? | The fee is still considered and adjusted |
| Cash refund? | Not mentioned |

The one year clock starts on the withdrawal date, not the payment date
The notice counts the year "starting from the date of withdrawal of post". It does not count from the day you paid. A candidate who paid in March for a post withdrawn in August has until the following August.
The notice does not say where the withdrawal date is published. PPSC's homepage and its job archive are the places to look, and the department's own letter may also carry it. If you cannot find it, ask PPSC and keep the answer in writing.
Note also the wording "next immediate online apply". The adjustment attaches to the next application you start, not to an application of your choice a year later.

The adjustment applies even if you do not submit the application
The notice states that the fee for the withdrawn post "will be considered and adjusted regardless of whether an application is submitted or not". Our reading is that starting the next application uses up the credit, so you should only start it when you are ready to finish.
That is our reading of one sentence, and PPSC does not spell out the case where a candidate starts and then abandons the form. The notice itself adds: "ensure that your application is completed and submitted on time." Treat that line as the warning.
Starting the next application also generates a Payment System Identifier number, or PSID, which is the voucher number used to pay the fee. In PPSC's application procedure the PSID comes after the personal profile step. We describe the full process in PPSC online application, fee and roll number slip.
How to use the adjustment on your next application
Pick the next PPSC post you actually meet the conditions for, gather your documents, and start the online application only when you can finish it in one sitting. Check the fee amount that the system shows before you pay anything.
- Note the date your post was withdrawn and calculate one year forward.
- Pick a live PPSC advertisement you are eligible for. The latest one is in PPSC Advertisement 11/2026.
- Collect your CNIC, photograph and qualification documents before you start.
- Open the PPSC site, choose the post, and enter your CNIC to begin.
- Look at the fee shown. If it still demands the full amount, ask PPSC before you pay.
- Submit before the closing date and keep the application number.

PPSC says its application needs a photograph and a CNIC image of less than 25 KB each. Prepare both in advance, because a failed upload can cost you time on a day when the closing date is near.
Questions the notice does not answer
The notice is short, and it leaves gaps. It does not say if the adjusted amount can exceed the new post's fee, if the credit can be moved to a relative's application, or how a candidate sees the credit. Ask PPSC in writing for any of these, and do not rely on forwarded posts.
PPSC lists a UAN of 042-111-988-722, online help lines 042-99202762, 042-99200161 and 042-99200162, and the email ppsc@punjab.gov.pk on its contact page. Use only these official details. A message from a lookalike site is a different matter, and we explain how to spot one in how to check the real PPSC website and avoid fake job sites.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on Sunday 11 October 2026 at about 6:30 pm PKT. We read the PPSC notice on adjustment of fee for withdrawn posts, the PPSC online application procedure, the contact page and the homepage of the Punjab Public Service Commission. The notice carries no date, so we cannot say when the rule began.
