Pakistan Reinsurance Company Limited (PRCL) is hiring 3 department heads, and two of the posts close on OTS on 16 November 2026. Head of Retrocession (MSPS-7) and Head of Risk Management (MSPS-6) are applied for on ots.org.pk. Head of Claims (MSPS-8) is applied for on the National Jobs Portal (njp.gov.pk). The upper age limit for all three is 50 years.

PRCL is the state reinsurance company, under the administrative control of the Ministry of Commerce. The Open Testing Service (OTS) published the project, code PRCL2026B, on 1 November 2026. We read the OTS project page, the advertisement and the test syllabus on 5 November. Here is who can apply, what the test covers and how to apply without mistakes.

PRCL is hiring for 3 head posts, one seat each

Each post has one vacancy. All three are full time and on a contract that carries gratuity but no pension. Pay follows the government's Monetized Salary Policy (MSP), and PRCL calls it "market competitive". The advertisement does not print a salary figure.

Retrocession means a reinsurer passing part of the risk it has taken on to another reinsurer. The Head of Retrocession runs that side of PRCL's business.

PRCL jobs 2026: three head posts, their scales and where to apply

Check the qualification and experience rule for your post

Each post has two routes, a) or b). You need to meet only one. The age limit is "not more than 50 years as of the closing date of the advertisement".

  • Head of Claims and Head of Retrocession, route a: Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) with at least 6 years of experience in a general insurance or reinsurance company, a Takaful operator, or an insurance or reinsurance broker.
  • Same posts, route b: a 16 year Master's or Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Commerce, Economics or Finance from an HEC recognised university, or CPCU, or Diploma (CII), with at least 8 years of the same kind of experience.
  • Head of Risk Management, route a: ACII with at least 6 years in a general insurance company or Takaful operator, including at least 3 years in the risk management department.
  • Same post, route b: a 16 year degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Commerce or Finance, or CPCU or Diploma (CII), with at least 8 years in general insurance or Takaful, including at least 4 years in risk management.

PRCL prefers candidates who have handled reinsurance or retakaful placements, or underwriting and claims, for the first two posts.

The OTS test has 6 parts for each post

OTS has posted a "post-wise indicative syllabus". The biggest share for Head of Retrocession is insurance, reinsurance and claims. For Risk Management it is risk management itself. The test date is "to be announced".

Apply on OTS in 5 steps

OTS says applications are paperless and online only. By hand submission is not allowed.

  1. Open ots.org.pk, go to Projects, and open Pakistan Reinsurance Company Limited (PRCL), code PRCL2026B.
  2. Pick the right post. OTS warns that a submitted selection "may not be changeable later".
  3. Fill the form and generate the fee challan. Pay it in your banking app under 1-Bill Payment with the PSID.
  4. Upload scans of your degrees and transcripts, domicile, CNIC front and back, experience certificates, detailed CV and the paid challan.
  5. Submit before 16 November 2026, then watch the OTS applicant portal for your roll number slip and test date.

The OTS page does not show the fee amount, and the fee is non-refundable. For how PSID payments work, see our guide to paying job test fees by PSID. For Head of Claims, register on the National Jobs Portal first.

Read the rules that can disqualify you

PRCL's notes are short but strict. Public sector employees must bring a no objection certificate (NOC) to the interview. Originals, with HEC verified degrees, are needed at the interview. Only shortlisted candidates are called. No TA or DA is paid for the test or interview.

Any attempt to influence the process can disqualify you. Mobile phones are not allowed in the test centre. Once the test is done, our guide to the OTS result and roll number slip shows where to look.
