Government job and test fees in Pakistan are now paid online against a PSID or a 1Bill number, through a bank app, Easypaisa, JazzCash, an ATM or a bank counter: FPSC charges Rs 600 to Rs 3,000 by grade, KPPSC Rs 500, SPSC Rs 1,000 for CCE and ETEA Rs 700 to Rs 1,000. The old paper challan is gone at almost every body.

A PSID (Payment Slip ID) is a one time number that the commission's website makes for your application. You pay against it like a utility bill, through 1Link's 1Bill service. We read the fee rules of FPSC, KPPSC, SPSC, BPSC, NTS and ETEA on their own websites on 27 October 2026. Below is every fee, how to pay it, and the mistakes that cost people the fee or the post.

Every commission and testing service fee, in one table

Federal and provincial commissions charge by grade or by exam, and testing services such as NTS and ETEA charge by project or grade. All of them now take payment online. ETEA, KPPSC and PPSC say in writing that a paid fee is not refunded, and we found no refund route at the others.

Pay a PSID or 1Bill fee from any bank app in five steps

A PSID or 1Bill fee is paid the same way as an electricity bill. You generate the number on the commission's site, then pay it in the bill payment section of your bank app or wallet. The app shows the name and amount before you pay, which is your check that the number is right.

  1. Fill your application on the official site and generate the PSID or deposit slip. Note the number and the amount.
  2. Open your bank app, Easypaisa or JazzCash and go to bill payment. Look for 1Bill, Invoice or Government payments; the name varies by app.
  3. Enter the PSID or 1Bill number exactly.
  4. Check that the name and amount match your application, then pay.
  5. Save the receipt as a screenshot or PDF, and check your application status on the commission's site the next day.

If you have no bank app, FPSC lets you pay over the counter at any 1-Link member bank, and NTS accepts a counter payment at ABL, MCB and Meezan Bank. Take the printed PSID or slip with you.

Steps to pay a PSID or 1Bill job test fee from a bank app

FPSC charges by grade and refuses the old TR-6 challan

FPSC's General Instructions, updated 12 August 2026, set Rs 600 for BS-16 and 17, Rs 1,500 for BS-18, Rs 2,500 for BS-19 and Rs 3,000 for BS-20 and above. The fee must be paid against a PSID from fpsc.gov.pk. The old TR-6 challan, a bank draft, a pay order or a cheque is not accepted.

FPSC also tells you to check that you meet every requirement, including age, domicile, qualification and experience, before you pay. The fee is for that one application. The full method is in our guide to paying the FPSC application fee.

KPPSC and ETEA fees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa differ

KPPSC's 2026 advertisements charge Rs 500, excluding service charges, through the 1Bill option in any banking or microfinance app. ETEA, which tests for most other KP government jobs, charges Rs 700 for BS-16 and below, Rs 900 for BPS-17 and Rs 1,000 for BS-18 and above.

ETEA adds one step before payment. Its adverts require you to print an e-Sahulat token and get your CNIC verified at a NADRA e-Sahulat franchise before you can apply or pay. Then you print the deposit slip with your token number and project code and pay it through Easypaisa or 1Link. ETEA says the fee is non-refundable and asks you to keep the original stamped slip.

KPPSC is just as strict about refunds. It does not return a fee if you miss the date, as the note on the KPPSC non-refundable fee explains.

SPSC, BPSC and NTS each have one rule to watch

SPSC's CCE-2026 fee is Rs 1,000, paid against a PSID with the 1Bill invoice option. BPSC moved from the green bank challan to online 1Link payment from 5 May 2026, so its older FAQ about the green challan is out of date. NTS takes only 1Bill invoice payments or counter deposits at three named banks.

BPSC sets the fee in each advertisement. The current example, Advertisement No. 09/2026, is covered in our report on the BPSC advertisement for 250 posts. NTS fees also change by project, and the NTS registration and fee steps show where to read the amount for yours.

We could not open the PPSC website on 27 October 2026. The PPSC figures in the table come from its instructions as we read them on 21 September 2026, and PPSC says the fee for one post cannot be moved to another. The PPSC PSID payment steps cover the GoPb biller.

Four mistakes that lose you the fee or the post

Most fee problems come from paying the wrong number, paying late, paying for a post you are not eligible for, or paying an agent. We found no refund route for any of these, so a few minutes of checking saves the whole fee.

  • Paying after the closing date. A PSID paid after the deadline does not revive the application.
  • Paying before checking eligibility. FPSC says this in its instructions. Age and domicile are the usual traps.
  • Reusing an old PSID. Each PSID belongs to one application. Make a new one for each post.
  • Paying a middleman. No commission asks you to pay a person. Pay only through the PSID or 1Bill number from the official site.

Once the fee shows as paid, the next step is the roll number slip. Our list of roll number slip download links by CNIC covers all nine bodies.

Common questions

What is a PSID?

A Payment Slip ID, a one time number the commission's website makes for your application. You pay it through 1Link like a bill.

Can I pay a job test fee with JazzCash or Easypaisa?

Yes, for FPSC, KPPSC and ETEA, which name these wallets. SPSC and NTS accept any channel with the 1Bill option.

What is the FPSC fee for a BS-17 post?

Rs 600, the same as for BS-16, under FPSC's General Instructions updated 12 August 2026.

Is the job test fee refundable?

No refund route exists that we could find. ETEA, KPPSC and PPSC say in writing that fees are not refunded, and FPSC tells you to check eligibility before you pay.

Can I still pay with a bank challan?

Not at FPSC, which rejects the TR-6 challan. BPSC moved from the green challan to online 1Link payment on 5 May 2026. NTS still accepts counter deposits at ABL, MCB and Meezan Bank.

Why does my application still show unpaid?

Check that you paid the right PSID and that the receipt shows success. If the application still shows unpaid the next day, contact the body with your PSID and payment receipt.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read FPSC's General Instructions updated 12 August 2026, KPPSC Advertisements No. 05/2026 and 09/2026, SPSC Advertisement No. 04/2026, the BPSC home page notice of 20 April 2026, the NTS fee payment procedure page and ETEA's FAQ, all on 27 October 2026, plus ETEA's adverts for projects 885 and 886. We could not reach ppsc.gop.pk that day. We did not make a test payment, so the bank app menu names are general, not checked app by app.
