You download a test roll number slip in Pakistan from the testing body's own website, usually by CNIC, about one to two weeks before the test: nts.org.pk, pts.org.pk, etea.edu.pk, sts.org.pk, fpsc.gov.pk, ppsc.gop.pk, kppsc.gov.pk, spsc.gov.pk or bpsc.gob.pk. None of the nine posts a slip to you any more, except BPSC, which still says it uses the post as well.

The slip, also called an admission certificate, call letter or admit card, carries your roll number, centre and reporting time. Without it and your original CNIC, every one of these bodies can turn you away at the gate. We opened all nine websites on 27 October 2026. Below is where each one puts the slip, what you search with, and what to do when it does not show.

Every testing body puts the slip on its own website

The roll number slip comes from the body that runs the test, never from the department hiring you. Commissions such as FPSC and KPPSC post it on their own sites. Testing agencies such as NTS, PTS, ETEA and STS post it under each project. You then print it and bring it with your original CNIC.

Where to download a roll number slip for NTS, PTS, ETEA, STS, FPSC, PPSC, KPPSC, SPSC and BPSC

Download any roll number slip in five steps

The method is almost the same on all nine sites. Find the project or exam, open its slip link, enter your CNIC exactly as on the card, then download and print. Do it as soon as the slip is announced, not the night before, because these sites slow down badly near test day.

  1. Wait for the SMS or website notice saying slips are ready. Do not trust a slip link sent by a stranger on WhatsApp.
  2. Open the official site of the body that runs your test, from the table above.
  3. Find your project, advertisement or case number, and open its roll number slip link.
  4. Enter your 13 digit CNIC. BPSC asks for it with dashes, like 12345-1234567-1.
  5. Check your name, photo, post, centre and time, then print the slip in colour if you can.

If the slip shows a wrong photo, name or post, contact the body the same day. Most of them take corrections only until a few days before the test.

FPSC and KPPSC send no slip by post

FPSC's General Instructions say admission certificates are placed on fpsc.gov.pk, an SMS or email alert goes to the number and address in your application, and "no information in this regard shall be sent through post". You must download it yourself in time and bring it with an original CNIC or passport.

KPPSC works the same way. Its exam schedules say call letters, or roll number slips, are uploaded on kppsc.gov.pk 15 days before the exam, and candidates without the printed letter and original CNIC will not be let in. KPPSC also asks you to confirm your centre one day before each paper.

FPSC's admission certificate steps for the last phase are in our report on how to download an FPSC admission certificate. For Sindh, the current example is the SPSC CCE-2026 screening test on 28 November, whose slips will come through the SPSC candidate portal.

NTS, PTS, ETEA and STS list slips under each project

The four testing services file slips by project, not by person. NTS, ETEA and PTS send an SMS when slips are ready. ETEA's adverts say "no separate call letter" is sent by post, and that the test date, time and venue appear only on the slip.

NTS warns that a ported mobile number, an SMS blocker or a number registered on the 3627 do not disturb list can stop its messages. It tells candidates to send "Unreg" to 3627 to receive alerts. So check the website yourself rather than waiting for a text that may never arrive.

PTS shows a "Roll Number / Interview Slips" page with each project and its test date. STS has an "STS Application Roll Number Slip" list with a "Click to Roll Number Slip" link per project. The PTS roll number slip and result steps and the ETEA roll number slip steps go into each site in detail.

Five steps to download a roll number slip by CNIC in Pakistan

When the slip will not download, check these five things

A missing slip usually means the fee was not matched to your application, the CNIC was typed in a different format, or slips for your post are not out yet. Check the fee first. A slip is issued only for a paid, submitted application, on every one of these sites.

  • Fee not matched. Look at your application status. PTS, for example, asks candidates to upload the paid fee challan again if it is missing.
  • Wrong CNIC format. Try with and without dashes. BPSC's search box asks for dashes.
  • Slips not released. Check the date in the notice. KPPSC releases about 15 days before.
  • Wrong project. Testing services run dozens of projects at once. Match the project code on your deposit slip.
  • Site down. Try early morning. On 27 October 2026, we could not open ppsc.gop.pk at all from our connection.

If none of that works, call the body's helpline with your CNIC and application or token number ready. Keep your fee receipt, because ETEA and BPSC both ask you to keep the original paid slip.

Bring the printed slip and your original CNIC

Every body we checked wants the printed slip plus an original identity document. ETEA accepts an original CNIC, passport, B-Form for under 18s, or a NADRA token slip with a photo ID. BPSC's FAQ says to bring the original CNIC with the fee receipt.

Leave your phone at home or outside. FPSC, KPPSC and ETEA all treat a phone in the hall as a reason to disqualify. FPSC goes furthest: its instructions say a candidate caught with a phone is permanently debarred and the CNIC goes on a block list.

Common questions

How can I download my roll number slip by CNIC?

Open the website of the body running your test, find your project or advertisement, open the roll number slip link and enter your CNIC.

Will the roll number slip come by post?

Not from FPSC, KPPSC or ETEA, which say so in their instructions. BPSC's FAQ says it still posts slips and sends an SMS.

When is the roll number slip released?

It varies. KPPSC says 15 days before the exam. Testing services such as NTS and ETEA announce it by SMS and on the website, often a week or two before.

Can I enter the test with the slip on my phone?

Do not count on it. KPPSC and FPSC ask for a printed or downloaded certificate, and phones are banned in the hall.

What if my photo on the slip is wrong?

Contact the testing body the same day with your CNIC and application number. Do not wait for test day.

Why is my roll number slip not showing?

Usually because the fee is not matched, slips are not out yet, or the CNIC format is wrong. Check your application status first.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We opened all nine websites on 27 October 2026: the PTS roll number page, the STS roll number list, ETEA's result and roll number menu and its FAQ, the NTS home page, the BPSC home page and FAQ, the SPSC candidate portal, the KPPSC exam schedules dated 23 October 2026, and FPSC's General Instructions updated 12 August 2026. We also read ETEA's advert for project 885 and the KPPSC home page. We could not open ppsc.gop.pk on 27 October, so the PPSC row relies on our earlier reading of its instructions. We did not download a real slip on any site.
