Pakistan's Private Hajj 2026 Pilgrims Have Until 20 October to Complain
Went on Hajj 2026 with a private company and had problems? Pakistan's religious affairs ministry takes complaints only until 20 October 2026. How to send one.

If you went on Hajj 2026 from Pakistan with a private Hajj company and have a complaint about its service, send it to the Ministry of Religious Affairs before 20 October 2026. After that date the ministry returns the companies' performance guarantees, and it will not act on any complaint received later.
The ministry published the notice on 1 October 2026, addressed to "private pilgrims of 2026". It calls this the last chance to complain against a Hajj organiser or company about last season's arrangements. We read the Urdu notice on the ministry's website on 2 October.
Complaints go to the Section Officer (Monitoring) by post or by email, with proof. The notice is clear on the consequence: a complaint that arrives after 20 October will not be heard, and the matter will be closed for good.
Private Hajj 2026 complaints close on 20 October
The Ministry of Religious Affairs will return the performance guarantees of last year's private Hajj companies after 20 October 2026. Only complaints received before that return will be examined. Anything later is closed without action, the ministry says.
A performance guarantee is money a private Hajj company deposits as security for its promises to pilgrims. While the ministry holds it, there is something to act against if a company broke its contract. Once it is returned, that lever is gone. That is why the date matters more than it looks.

What you can complain about
The notice covers any complaint or reservation a private pilgrim had about Hajj arrangements last season. Typical examples are a hotel far from what was promised, poor food, missed transport, or services in the package that were never given.
The notice does not list complaint types, so do not hold back a genuine problem because it seems small. The test that matters is proof. A complaint that shows what the company promised, and what it actually delivered, is far stronger than a general account of a bad trip.
If you paid a company that turned out to be unapproved, that is a different problem. In August 2026 the ministry warned pilgrims not to pay private operators directly, and for Hajj 2027 private scheme pilgrims choose from approved companies on the Pak Hajj app. The new Hajj Policy 2027 to 2030 also sets up complaint committees for future seasons.
How to send a complaint before 20 October
Write one clear complaint, attach your proof, and email it to the Section Officer (Monitoring) at the address in the notice. Send it well before 20 October, and keep the sent email as your record of the date.
- Write your name, CNIC number, passport number and phone number at the top.
- Name the Hajj company and the package you bought, with the price you paid.
- List each problem in a separate short point, with the date and city.
- Attach proof: the package contract or brochure, payment receipts, photos and any messages from the company.
- Email it to somonitoringhgo@gmail.com, or post it, and call 051-9215871 to confirm it arrived.
The notice says post or email, but it does not give a postal address. Email is the safer choice because it records the date you sent it. If you post it, use a courier with tracking and send it early enough to arrive before 20 October.

The email address is a Gmail account, and it is the ministry's own
The complaint address in the notice ends in gmail.com, not a government domain. We read it on the ministry's own notice at mora.gov.pk, so it is the address the ministry chose. Do not use a similar-looking address from a forwarded message.
Scammers copy official notices and change the contact details. The same notice gives the ministry's Hajj helplines: 051-9205696, 051-9216980, 051-9216981 and 051-9216982. If you are unsure, call one of those numbers and ask them to confirm the complaint address before you send any documents.
Never pay anyone to "file" your complaint. The ministry charges nothing for it, and no agent can speed it up.
Other routes if the ministry route fails
The ministry's complaint is the route tied to the company's guarantee, so use it first. If a federal office mishandles your complaint, the Wafaqi Mohtasib, the federal ombudsman, hears complaints of maladministration by federal bodies.
A complaint to the Wafaqi Mohtasib is free and needs no lawyer. It is about how a government office handled your case, not about the company itself. For a claim against the company directly, a consumer court may be another option, and a consumer court complaint also needs no lawyer, though the rules differ by province.
Planning to go again? A Hajj registration from Pakistan now runs through the Pak Hajj app for both schemes, and private scheme payments go only through the app.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on 2 October 2026 at about 11:50 pm PKT. The 20 October 2026 deadline, the return of performance guarantees, the post or email route, the officer's name, phone number and email address, and the helplines are read in the ministry's Urdu notice dated 1 October 2026 on the Ministry of Religious Affairs website. The complaint committees for future seasons are in the ministry's Hajj Policy 2027 to 2030. We did not test the email address or the phone line, and the notice gives no postal address.
