Punjab Police Constable Jobs 2026: 1,170 Posts in Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur, Apply by 31 October

Short answer: Punjab Police is hiring 1,170 constables in Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur, including lady constables and two driver constables. Download the form from punjabpolice.gov.pk and hand it in at the police lines of your own district between 12 and 31 October 2026, with a Rs 300 form fee. Only domicile holders of these districts can apply, and the usual age limit is 18 to 22.

We read the advertisement and the six-page application form on the Punjab Police website on 10 October 2026. Both are in Urdu. Everything below is taken from those two documents, and where they leave a gap, we say so.

This round is local. A candidate from Lahore or Multan cannot apply, because the form must go to the police lines of the district on your domicile.

1,170 constable posts across Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur

The advertisement lists five groups of posts. Rahim Yar Khan has the biggest share, 718 constables. Rajanpur has 300 posts covering the district and its tribal areas, plus 150 for Tehsil Rojhan alone.

Quotas apply across these posts. Fifteen per cent of constable posts are for women. Ten per cent of constable and driver constable posts are for ex-servicemen, and 5 per cent of posts are for minority candidates.

Age, height and education rules for constables and lady constables

The rules change with where your domicile is from. The settled areas of Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur have the strictest limits. Rajanpur's de-excluded tribal areas and Tehsil Rojhan get more room on age, height and marks. Age is counted on 31 October 2026.

Every candidate must also run 1.6 km. Men get 7 minutes and women get 10 minutes. The advertisement says there is no relaxation in height, chest, education or age, so do not count on one.

Driver constable posts need an LTV licence and two years of driving

There are only two driver constable posts, one in each district. The age limit is 21 to 30 on 31 October 2026. Height, chest, run and domicile rules are the same as for constables in that area, and the education rule is Matric.

A driver constable must hold an LTV, or light transport vehicle, licence and have two years of driving after getting it. Candidates take a driving test, a technical test and a highway code test.

Ex-servicemen can apply up to age 40

Former army personnel use a different age rule. Your present age minus your years of service must be 22 or less. Your present age must not be over 40, and you must have retired no more than two years ago. Anyone removed from the forces for disciplinary or medical reasons cannot apply. Attach three attested copies of your discharge certificate.

How to apply for Punjab Police constable jobs in Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur

This is a paper application. There is no online form for this round. Follow the steps in order, because the form is rejected if anything is missing.

1. Download the application form from punjabpolice.gov.pk and print all six pages.
2. Fill it with a ball point pen. Tick the area (settled, tribal or Tehsil Rojhan) and your quota, if any.
3. Attach three attested copies each of your education certificates, domicile, CNIC and character certificate. Driver candidates add the driving licence.
4. Attach eight attested passport-size photographs, and paste one on the form.
5. Sign the affidavit and add your thumbprint. Without it the form is not accepted.
6. Submit at the police lines of your domicile district between 12 and 31 October 2026, pay the Rs 300 form fee, and get a receipt.

Use one form for one post. Government employees must send the form through their department with an NOC. Candidates with a police family claim, such as a parent who served, must attach the proof.

The affidavit is serious. It asks about any FIR, arrest or case against you. A false statement makes you ineligible, and fake documents found at any stage cancel the appointment and can lead to legal action. A police character certificate is on the document list, so apply for it early.

Selection is a 100 mark written test and a 20 mark interview

The office part of the form shows the scoring. The written test carries 100 marks and the interview 20, for a total of 120. Driver constables also take the driving, technical and highway code tests. Before that, candidates are measured for height and chest and run the 1.6 km.

The test schedule will be posted outside the police lines. The advertisement says no separate notice will be sent and no excuse will be accepted for missing it. So keep checking the police lines notice board and the District Police Office. Selected candidates then go through a medical test and document checks.
