Punjab Special Branch Intelligence Officer Jobs 2026: 30 BS-14 Posts, Apply by 26 October
Punjab Police Special Branch has 30 Intelligence Officer posts in BS-14 through PPSC. Graduates aged 21 to 40 can apply by 26 October 2026 for a Rs 600 fee.

Punjab Police Special Branch is hiring 30 Intelligence Officers in BS-14 through the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC). You need a second division graduation and basic computer skills, and you must be 21 to 40 (men) or 21 to 43 (women). Apply at ppsc.gop.pk by 26 October 2026. The fee is Rs 600.
The posts are case No. 10-RH/2026 in PPSC Advertisement No. 11/2026, published in newspapers on 9 October 2026. We read the advertisement and PPSC's live jobs table on 10 October. The jobs table lists the post as "Intelligence Officer, Special Branch, Punjab Police Department", fee Rs 600, closing 26 October 2026.

Special Branch has 30 Intelligence Officer posts in BS-14
All 30 posts are on contract for two years, which the advertisement says can be extended. Posting can be anywhere in Punjab. Special Branch is the intelligence wing of Punjab Police, so this is a civilian intelligence job inside the police, not a uniformed constable or sub-inspector post.
The 30 posts are split like this, according to the advertisement:
| Quota | Posts |
|---|---|
| Women quota | 5 |
| Special persons quota | 1 |
| Minorities quota | 1 |
| Open merit (the rest) | 23 |
| Total | 30 |
The advertisement names the three reserved quotas. The open merit figure of 23 is our own sum of what is left. Women can compete on open merit as well as for the 5 reserved seats.
Eligibility: graduation, age 21 to 40 and a Punjab domicile
There are two ways to qualify. Most applicants will use the first one. Both need a second division graduation from a university recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
- Route 1: a second division graduation plus basic knowledge of computers.
- Route 2: a second division graduation plus five years' experience in the intelligence wing of a law enforcement agency.
The advertisement adds that only practical experience gained after your degree counts for route 2. So service before graduation does not help.

The age limit is 21 to 35, plus a relaxation built into the advertisement. That makes it 21 to 40 for men and 21 to 43 for women. The post is open to men, women and transgender candidates, with a transgender candidate's age and sex taken from their CNIC. You need a Punjab domicile, and the advertisement says the post is filled on an "All Punjab basis".
Two age traps are worth knowing. Federal, semi-government and local body employees do not get extra age concession for that service. And PPSC treats the age limit strictly, so check your date of birth against the closing date before you pay.
Apply on the PPSC portal by 26 October
Applications are online only. The form is not complete until you pay the Rs 600 fee against the PSID, the payment ID that PPSC generates.
- Open ppsc.gop.pk and log in, or create an account with your CNIC.
- Fill in your profile, education and any experience, and upload your photo.
- Under Jobs, open Advertisement 11/2026 and choose case 10-RH/2026, Intelligence Officer.
- Submit the form and note the PSID.
- Pay Rs 600 through a 1Link bank, ATM, internet or mobile banking, JazzCash, Easypaisa or UPaisa.
- Print the application and keep the payment receipt with it.
The account setup and photo rules are the same as for any PPSC job. You can follow how to apply for a PPSC job and get your roll number slip for each screen. The other 12 cases in the same round, from Senior Registrars to veterinary posts, are listed in PPSC Advertisement 11/2026.
The written test is 100 MCQs in 90 minutes
PPSC will hold one MCQ paper of 100 marks and 90 minutes. The syllabus in the advertisement has two parts.

| Part | Share of the paper | Topics |
|---|---|---|
| General ability | About 80% | General knowledge, Pakistan Studies, current affairs, Islamic Studies (general knowledge for non-Muslims), geography, basic maths, English, Urdu, everyday science |
| Basic computer studies | About 20% | Basic computer knowledge |
So roughly 20 questions are on computers. That is a real chance to gain marks, because many general ability candidates skip it. Know the basics well: file types, shortcut keys, MS Word and Excel functions, internet and email terms, and simple hardware parts.
For the general ability part, current affairs matters most in the weeks just before the test. PPSC has not announced the test date yet, and it posts every schedule on its own website only.
Check these documents before you apply
Most PPSC applications fail at the document check, not the test. The advertisement's general conditions apply to this post too.
- Get marks sheets or percentage certificates for your degree. PPSC says CGPA alone is not accepted.
- If your degree is from abroad or is called "equivalent", get an HEC equivalence certificate.
- Government employees need a departmental NOC.
- For route 2, keep proof of your intelligence wing service with dates.
Keep in mind that police constable recruitment in Punjab runs through a separate system. The Punjab Police constable jobs in Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur, for example, are not handled by PPSC.
