What the Silver tier is playing for

The Silver winners are promoted to the Gold tier for next season. The PCB set this out when it announced the schedule on 2 November. Silver has 12 teams in two groups of six, and both tiers have first-class status.

Here is how the Silver season runs, in order:

  1. Group matches are played from 3 to 30 November. Group A is in Karachi, Group B in Multan, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur.
  2. Each team plays the other five in its group once.
  3. The two group toppers meet in a five-day final from 3 to 7 December.
  4. The winner moves up to the Gold tier for the 2027-28 season.

Group A has Lahore Blues, Rawalpindi, Larkana, Quetta, Bahawalpur and Peshawar Whites. Group B has Karachi Whites, AJK, Hyderabad, Dera Murad Jamali, Abbottabad and Sialkot Whites. All six teams in each group, with their players, are on our page of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2026-27 squads.

The PCB said four of the six matches in each Silver round would be live-streamed. It did not say which four. Every Gold match is streamed on tapmad and Tamasha. The full round-by-round fixtures are in our Quaid-e-Azam Trophy schedule, and the Gold tier's day two story, Mohammad Rizwan's 200 not out, is in our day 2 report.

Rawalpindi's U19 side had a better week

The Rawalpindi first-class side lost heavily, but the region's U19 team reached the PCB National U19 Championship final, which the PCB also reported on 4 November. They play Lahore Blues U19 in Faisalabad from 7 November, as our page on the National U19 Championship final explains.
