How to Register for Sales Tax on Services With the BRA in Balochistan, With or Without an NTN
Sell services in Balochistan? Register with the BRA, not FBR. See the e-registration steps, the no-NTN 30 day certificate, e-enrolment and the helpline.

Short answer: Open bra.gob.pk, click e-Registration, then New e-Registration, enter your NTN and complete every section of the form. Verify and submit it, then e-enrol to activate your account. With no NTN, the BRA gives a provisional certificate valid for 30 days or until your NTN arrives.
In Balochistan, sales tax on services goes to the Balochistan Revenue Authority, or BRA, not to FBR. The province began collecting it in October 2015, as the BRA's own guide says. If you sell a taxable service in Quetta, Gwadar or anywhere in the province, you register with the BRA.
We read the BRA homepage and its e-registration and e-enrolment guides on 14 October 2026. The guides are dated 2015, so screens may have changed. We did not log in to the portal.
Choose the right registration route on the BRA portal
The BRA portal lists three registration options. One is for people who already have an NTN. One is for people with no NTN. A third sign-up is for withholding agents and franchisors who do not have an NTN. Pick the one that matches you.
Most service providers have an NTN and use the first. If you need one, follow how to get an NTN number first. The BRA also lets you check the status of a registration application from the same menu.
A business in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa uses another body, as set out in registering with KPRA.
Enter your NTN and let the form pre-fill
Go to bra.gob.pk, click e-Registration, then New e-Registration. Type your NTN and the image characters. The system shows your registration particulars as recorded in FBR. A Taxpayer Registration Form then opens with those details already in it.
If the system says No Taxpayer Found, first check the NTN and its check digit. If both are right, email esupport@bra.gob.pk with the subject line Add NTN in database. Give your NTN, business name and service category. The support officer replies by email once it is done.
Complete each section of the form
The form has several sections. The BRA guide lists them in order. Fill each, save, and move to the next. You can come back and change things before you submit.
- Registry: your registration particulars.
- Agent particulars, if someone represents you.
- Directors or shareholders, for a company or firm.
- Other activities, if you do more than your principal work.
- Business and branches, with every location or outlet.
- Bank account.
- Declaration, stating the information is correct.

The Official Area section shows the user ID and tax office allotted to you. You do not fill it. Save the form after each change.
Verify, submit and wait for your user ID
When the form is complete, click Verify Application. A pop-up asks for your CNIC, NTN or passport number. After verification, click Submit Application. A user ID and password are then sent to you by email and SMS.
Registration alone does not turn on your account. The guide says to e-enrol to activate it and use all the BRA services. Keep the email and message safe, since you need them in the next step.
Register without an NTN and get 30 days
If you have no NTN, the BRA gives a provisional registration certificate. It is valid for 30 days or until FBR issues your NTN. During that time you get the same facilities as other taxpayers who hold an NTN.
| Your situation | What the BRA guide says |
|---|---|
| You have an NTN | Register through New e-Registration with your NTN |
| You have no NTN | Provisional certificate for 30 days or until the NTN is issued |
| NTN not issued in 30 days | BRA registration is cancelled and you are told by email |
| NTN given but no taxpayer found | Email your NTN, business name and service category |

Do not leave the NTN until day 29. If it does not come in time, the BRA cancels your registration. You can check an NTN after it is issued using the official NTN checks.
E-enrol to activate your BRA account
If you already have a login on the FBR e-portal, the BRA has a quick route. Click e-enrolment on bra.gob.pk and enter your NTN and image characters. You are sent to the FBR login. Confirm the transfer of your details.
You then receive a pass code and an activation code on your email and mobile. Use the Enrolment Activation option, and set a new password and PIN. Your phone number and email at FBR must be current, or the codes will not reach you.
After this you can file and pay. The next steps are in filing and paying with the BRA.
Common questions
Do I register with FBR or the BRA for services in Balochistan?
With the BRA. The BRA guide says the Balochistan Assembly asserted its right to collect sales tax on services in the province in October 2015.
Can I register without an NTN?
Yes, for a short time. The BRA gives a provisional certificate valid for 30 days or until the NTN is issued, then cancels it if there is no NTN.
What if the portal says No Taxpayer Found?
Check the NTN and check digit. If they are right, email esupport@bra.gob.pk with the subject Add NTN in database, your NTN, business name and service category.
Is there a registration fee?
The guides we read mention no fee. We did not find a fee schedule, so ask the BRA before you pay anyone.
How do I contact the BRA?
The homepage lists 081-2452073 and 081-2092667, the email esupport@bra.gob.pk and an office at Kalat Mall, 1st Floor, Raisani Road, Quetta.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read the BRA homepage at bra.gob.pk and the BRA e-registration and e-enrolment guides (September 2015) on 14 October 2026. The enrolment guide lists an older office address and phone, so we used the homepage contacts. We could not confirm the services list, rates, fees or the current screens, and we did not log in, so confirm them with the BRA.
