A prince coat is cheaper: Rs 10,000 to Rs 30,000 at Edenrobe and Rs 32,000 to Rs 50,000 at J. We read every price on the brand's own website on 5 November 2026.

Sherwani prices at Pakistani brands in November 2026

On 5 November 2026, J. listed 19 men's sherwanis from Rs 45,000 to Rs 139,000, with most near Rs 70,000. Edenrobe listed three at Rs 50,000 and Rs 60,000. Amir Adnan listed 48, from Rs 49,750 on sale to Rs 25 lakh for couture.

J. (Junaid Jamshed)19Rs 45,000Rs 70,000Rs 139,000

Amir Adnan48Rs 49,750 (sale, was Rs 99,500)Rs 2.4 lakhRs 25 lakh

J.'s two cheapest sherwanis, in charcoal and blue, are Rs 45,000 each. Its white and black embroidered pieces sit at the top, at Rs 100,000 to Rs 139,000. None of J.'s sherwanis showed a sale price.

Amir Adnan had 18 sherwanis on sale. Several premium jamawar and karandi sherwanis were Rs 55,000, cut from Rs 110,000. It also listed four "slightly defected" sherwanis at Rs 36,000, cut from Rs 120,000. Those may be fine for a budget groom, but ask the store exactly what the defect is before you pay.

What a sherwani price usually includes

Brand product pages do not always say whether the kurta, pajama or shalwar comes with the sherwani. Edenrobe lists its boys' pieces as "sherwani suit" but its men's pieces only as "sherwani". Read the product details, or ask the store, before you compare two prices. A khussa and a kulla or turban are almost always extra.

Prince coat prices for a cheaper groom look

A prince coat looks formal for a nikah or walima and costs much less than a sherwani. Edenrobe listed prince coats from Rs 10,000 on sale to Rs 18,000, and embroidered prince coat suits at Rs 30,000. J. listed five prince coats from Rs 32,000 to Rs 50,000.

  • Edenrobe: a black prince coat at Rs 10,000 (was Rs 26,990), two silk prince coats at Rs 18,000, and two embroidered silk prince coat suits at Rs 30,000.
  • J.: navy blue and off white formal prince coats at Rs 32,000, maroon and charcoal at Rs 40,000, and one off white at Rs 50,000.
  • Amir Adnan: one prince coat at Rs 150,000.

A prince coat is longer than a waistcoat and shorter than a sherwani. It suits a groom who wants to wear it again at other weddings, because it is less heavy than a full sherwani.

What a groom's outfit budget buys in Pakistan, from a prince coat to a couture sherwani

What each groom budget buys

Under Rs 25,000 buys a prince coat or waistcoat with a kurta pajama. Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000 buys a prince coat suit or an entry sherwani. Rs 50,000 to Rs 1.4 lakh covers most ready made sherwanis. Couture starts above Rs 2 lakh.

How to buy a sherwani without paying twice

Buy the sherwani four to six weeks before the barat, because fitting changes take time in wedding season. Get your measurements first, try the piece on in a store, and pay only after the fit and the included pieces are clear in writing.

  1. Measure first. Chest, waist, shoulder, sleeve and length. Our kameez size chart shows how to measure at home.
  2. Try it in a store. A sherwani that is tight at the shoulder cannot be fixed easily.
  3. Ask what is included. Kurta, pajama or shalwar, and any dupatta or stole.
  4. Ask about alteration. Ask whether sleeve and length changes are free, and how long they take.
  5. Read the exchange rule. Sale and "defected" pieces are often final.
  6. Keep the receipt. You need it for any alteration or exchange.

Colours that work for barat, nikah and walima

Off white, ivory, cream and gold are the safe barat colours, and most brand sherwanis come in them. Black and charcoal suit an evening walima or nikah. For a mehndi, a coloured kurta with a waistcoat is cheaper and more comfortable than a sherwani.

Match the groom to the bride, not the other way round. Ask for the bride's barat colour early, then pick a sherwani one shade lighter or in a matching gold. A maroon or deep green waistcoat works well at a winter mehndi, and it can be worn again all season.

Punjab has set a 10 pm finish for wedding functions, so plan the groom's photos early. Our note on Punjab wedding hall rules has the details.

Is a prince coat cheaper than a sherwani?

Yes. Edenrobe's prince coats were Rs 10,000 to Rs 18,000 and J.'s Rs 32,000 to Rs 50,000, against Rs 45,000 and up for a sherwani.
