Pakistanis need a visa to enter Singapore. The fee is S$30, it is not refunded, and the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) says it processes an application within three working days, not counting the day you submit. You apply through a local contact in Singapore, a partner or a Singapore mission, not on your own.

That is the point that surprises first-time applicants. The visa page lists routes through a local contact, a partner or a mission, and no personal online form. We read the ICA visa page for Pakistan on 8 October 2026, and this guide follows it.

ICA advises applying within 30 days before you arrive, so do not start months ahead.

Singapore requires a visa for Pakistani passport holders

The ICA says Pakistani travel document holders need a visa to enter Singapore. The fee is S$30, payable by Visa or MasterCard. Processing takes three working days, and some applications take longer. Each case is judged on its own merits.

Pakistan is on the ICA's list of countries whose travellers need a visa. India, Bangladesh and Iran are on that list too.

A visa does not promise entry. As always, the officer at the border makes the final call. Keep your return ticket and booking handy.

Documents you need for a social or business visit

You need Form 14A signed by you, a colour photograph taken in the last three months, a copy of your passport photo page valid for six months after entry, and Form V39A, the Letter of Introduction, from a local contact.

DocumentDetail from the ICA page
Form 14ACompleted and signed by you
PhotographRecent, passport size, colour, within 3 months
Passport copyPhoto page, valid at least 6 months from entry
Form V39ALetter of Introduction, usually from a local contact
Extra papersMay be asked on a case by case basis

You also need original documents, plus copies for ICA to keep. Papers not in English need an official translation. ICA accepts translations from an embassy, a notary public, or a private translation that an embassy attests or a notary stamps.

Documents needed for a Singapore visa from Pakistan

A local contact in Singapore usually issues the letter

Form V39A is the Letter of Introduction. It can be issued by a local contact, who must be a Singapore citizen or permanent resident aged at least 21 with a Singpass account. A letter from your embassy is accepted if you cannot find one.

For a business visit, the local contact must act for a Singapore-registered business. That means a friend cannot sign for a trade meeting. The company has to.

If you have no relative or friend there, ask the hotel, the host company or the event organiser what they can do. Do not buy a letter from a stranger online. That is how people end up with a refused application and a lost fee.

How to apply: three routes

You can apply online through a strategic partner or a local contact in Singapore, at the nearest Singapore overseas mission, or through its authorised visa agent. Each mission has its own procedure, so read its website before you go.

  1. Choose your route: local contact, strategic partner, or the nearest Singapore mission.
  2. Prepare Form 14A, your photo, the passport copy and the Letter of Introduction.
  3. Submit within 30 days before your arrival date.
  4. Pay the S$30 fee by Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card.
  5. Wait for the result, then print the e-Visa through the e-Service.

If approved, your local contact, partner or agent prints the e-Visa using the ICA e-Service and passes you a copy. Carry the printout with you.

Steps to apply for a Singapore visa from Pakistan

Fee, timing and payment

The processing fee is S$30 and ICA says it is non-refundable. It is paid online by Visa or MasterCard. Allow at least a week in total, because three working days exclude the day you submit and some cases run longer.

Do not book a non-refundable flight until the e-Visa is in your hand. That is a general travel rule, not an ICA one, but the fee and the wait make it worth following.

If you pay an agent, ask them to show the S$30 portion separately. An agent can charge for their own service, and they should say so. The government fee is a fixed S$30.

Check these things before you pay anyone

Use the official ICA site, ica.gov.sg, and the Singapore mission's own page. Check an agent is authorised before you hand over your passport, and keep your own copies of every form and payment receipt.

Plan the rest of the trip against the same dates. Singapore is often paired with Malaysia or Thailand, and both have e-visa routes: the Malaysia eVisa for Pakistanis costs RM125 online and the Thailand e-visa for Pakistanis is also applied for online.

If your passport is old, renew it first. Six months of validity from entry is a hard requirement on the ICA page. Other destinations ask for different papers, as the lists for a UK visit visa, a Schengen visa and a Japan visit visa show.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 8 October 2026. We read the Visa Detail Page for Pakistan on the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority website, ica.gov.sg, on 8 October 2026. The visa requirement, documents, local contact rules, application routes, S$30 fee, three working day processing, 30 day advice and e-Visa collection are all from that page. The page did not state the visa validity or the number of days you may stay, so we give neither. It lists Form 14A and Form V39A on ICA's own site. Rules and fees can change, so check the ICA page and your Singapore mission again before you pay.
