Short answer: The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) has withdrawn 10 posts under the Land Administration and Revenue Management Information System (LARMIS) of the Sindh Board of Revenue. The descriptive examination planned for 28 and 29 September 2026 was cancelled with immediate effect. The Revenue Department asked for it, in a letter dated 22 September 2026.

We opened the SPSC home page on 12 October 2026 and read the signed public notice, number PSC/EXAM(C.S)/2026/215, dated 22 September. It is listed under the Commission's recent announcements. The notice is three weeks old, but it remains in force, and candidates still ask what it means for them.

If you applied for any of these posts, do not travel for a LARMIS paper. Nothing in the notice puts the exam back on the calendar.

Ten posts were withdrawn in two lists

SPSC advertised the posts under Consolidated Advertisement No. 02/2024, dated 7 June 2024, after a requisition from the Revenue Department. The notice names six posts in Table A, which had a descriptive exam, and four more in Table B that were withdrawn too.

SPSC withdrew 10 LARMIS posts in two lists and cancelled the 28 and 29 September 2026 descriptive exam

The 28 and 29 September descriptive exam is cancelled

The descriptive examination for the Table A posts was set for 28 and 29 September 2026. The notice cancels it with immediate effect at the request of the Administrative Department. Its letter, number (ADC)SPSC-01(LARMIS)/2026, is dated 22 September 2026.

The withdrawal came six days before the first paper. A candidate who had already printed an admission slip would have been affected. The Commission offers an apology for inconvenience and tells affected candidates to stay updated through the official SPSC website.

The notice says "withdrawn and called off". That is firmer than a postponement, so we do not expect a new date for these posts. If the department asks SPSC to advertise again, it will be a new advertisement with its own fee and form.

What the notice does not say

The notice is silent on fee refunds, on whether past applicants get priority in a later round, and on why the Revenue Department changed its mind. We could not find an answer on the SPSC pages we read, so we do not state one.

If you paid a fee for one of these posts, ask the Commission directly. The SPSC home page lists the phone number 022-9200694 and the email info@spsc.gov.pk, with office hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Keep your challan and your application number with you when you call.

Fee rules differ by body. Our note on a withdrawn PPSC post and fee adjustment shows how PPSC treats the fee of a withdrawn post, but that is PPSC's policy and does not bind SPSC.

Why the date matters for candidates in Hyderabad and Karachi

The SPSC head office is on Thandi Sarak in Hyderabad, and the notice lists a disaster recovery post at the Hyderabad centre. Candidates who planned travel for 28 and 29 September should confirm any booking was cancelled. A cancelled paper is not a failed paper, and it will not count against you.

What to do now if you applied

Treat the posts as closed. Check that your SPSC candidate profile is current, and move your effort to a live advertisement. SPSC's Advertisement 05/26 is open until 23 October 2026, and the other advertisements it lists for 2026 are closed.

  1. Read the notice on the SPSC home page and note the post you applied for.
  2. Keep your fee challan, application form and admission slip.
  3. Do not travel for any LARMIS descriptive paper.
  4. Call SPSC on 022-9200694 if you want to ask about the fee.
  5. Look at the open advertisement and upload your documents before it closes.
Five steps for candidates who applied for SPSC LARMIS posts after the withdrawal notice

Our guide to the SPSC Advertisement 05/2026 posts and closing date lists what is open now. Before you apply, read how to upload your documents on the SPSC candidate portal, because unfinished profiles lock at the closing date.

Common questions

The notice says the Administrative Department withdrew and called off the advertised posts by letter on 22 September 2026. It gives no further reason.

Is the LARMIS exam postponed or cancelled?

It is cancelled. The notice says the descriptive examination for 28 and 29 September 2026 is cancelled with immediate effect.

How many posts were withdrawn?

Ten posts: six in Table A and four in Table B. They range from BS-16 to BS-19.

The notice does not mention refunds. Call SPSC on 022-9200694 or write to info@spsc.gov.pk to ask.

Will SPSC advertise these posts again?

We found no notice of a new advertisement. Any later advertisement would be separate, so keep watching the SPSC home page.

Where do I confirm this notice?

It is on the SPSC home page under recent announcements, as the file named withdrawal of LARMIS posts, dated 22 September 2026.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read the SPSC public notice dated 22 September 2026 and the home page announcements at spsc.gov.pk on 12 October 2026. We did not find a later notice on the same posts on that date.
