A long government office corridor in Hyderabad, Sindh with closed wooden doors and soft daylight, for a guide to SPSC Advertisement 05/2026

SPSC Consolidated Advertisement No. 05/2026 offers 54 Sindh government posts, and online applications close on 23 October 2026. The biggest block is 32 Medical Officer (BPS-17) posts in the Home Department, plus 10 Assistant (BPS-16) posts in the Law Department. The application fee is Rs 500, paid through a PSID (payment slip ID) on 1Bill.

We read the full three-page advertisement on the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) website on 9 October 2026. It is dated 25 September 2026 and allows online applications only. Below are the posts, the age limits, the fee and the steps, in that order.

SPSC Advertisement 05/2026 has 54 posts in five departments

The advertisement covers eight job titles across five Sindh government departments. Every post needs a degree from a university recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). The table gives the count, scale and age limit for each.

Post (scale)DepartmentPostsAge limit
Deputy Director IT / Senior Manager IT (BPS-18)Enquiries and Anti-Corruption Establishment, SGA&CD128 to 35
Assistant Director IT / System Analyst (BPS-17)Enquiries and Anti-Corruption Establishment, SGA&CD121 to 28

Sindh splits most posts between rural (R) and urban (U) quotas, based on your domicile and PRC (permanent residence certificate). Of the 32 Medical Officer posts, 28 are open merit, 2 are for differently abled candidates and 2 for minorities. Of the 10 Assistant posts, 2 are reserved for women.

SPSC Advertisement 05/2026 posts: 32 Medical Officers, 10 Assistants and 12 other posts, closing 23 October 2026

Qualifications for the main posts

The Medical Officer and Lady Medical Officer posts need three things: an MBBS from an HEC-recognised university, registration with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), and a completed one-year house job. If your PMDC licence has lapsed, sort that out first. You can check a doctor's PMDC registration online in a couple of minutes, and the same check works on your own name.

The Assistant post needs only a graduation in at least second division. That makes it the widest door in this advertisement, and probably the most crowded.

  • IT posts: a 16-year bachelor's in IT or Computer Science, at least second division. The BPS-18 post also needs five years of IT project experience.
  • Information Officer: a master's in Mass Communication or Journalism, with three to five years of relevant experience.
  • Assistant Director, P&D: 16 years of education in Public Administration, HR Management, Economics or Public Policy.
  • Programme Officer, P&D: 16 years of education in Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering.

You must hold the qualification and experience on the closing date. Experience counts from the date you earned the minimum qualification, not from before it.

How to apply on the SPSC portal

SPSC takes online applications only. Manual forms are rejected. Give yourself a full evening, because the details you enter cannot be changed later.

  1. Register on the SPSC website, spsc.gov.pk, or the official SPSC mobile app.
  2. Complete your profile: CNIC number, date of birth, domicile, PRC, qualification and experience.
  3. Generate a PSID for the Rs 500 fee and pay it through any online payment channel using the 1Bill invoice option.
  4. Open "Available Jobs", choose the post under Advertisement 05/2026 and submit the application.
  5. Choose your exam centre with care, and save or print the submitted form.
Five steps to apply for an SPSC post online with a Rs 500 PSID fee

One challan covers all categories of one post. Applying for two different posts means two applications and two fees. The portal stays open round the clock, except on the closing day, when it shuts at 5:00 pm.

Details you cannot change after 23 October

The advertisement is blunt about this. Domicile, PRC on Form-D, rural or urban quota, age, qualification, experience and exam centre are fixed once the closing date passes. A wrong CNIC number or date of birth leads to rejection.

Get your Sindh documents ready first. If you do not have one yet, applying for a Sindh PRC certificate takes time, so start before the last week.

General age relaxation applies under the Sindh government notification of 6 March 2025, except for police posts and posts filled through the combined competitive exam. Government employees must apply through proper channel. Candidates with a permanent disability who need help in the written test must write to the SPSC Controller of Examinations at least seven days before the test, with a disability certificate and the special CNIC.

Warning that domicile, quota, centre and other details on an SPSC application are locked after the closing date

Applying in Punjab or Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well? The other commissions run their own portals and fees, such as KPPSC's Rs 500 online application. Sindh's last big exam round is covered in the PMS Sindh 2026 application.
