How to Apply for KPPSC Jobs Online: Rs 500 Fee and Steps
Apply for KPPSC jobs at apply.kppsc.gov.pk: make a CNIC profile, pay the Rs 500 fee by 1Bill before 5 pm, and send documents within 15 days of passing the test.

To apply for a KPPSC job, create a profile at apply.kppsc.gov.pk with your CNIC, fill the form for the post, and pay the Rs 500 fee through 1Bill in any banking or wallet app before 5:00 pm on the closing date. You do not upload documents at this stage.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission (KPPSC) recruits for provincial posts in BPS-16 and above, from agriculture officers to police DSPs. Its last three advertisements, No. 06, 08 and 09 of 2026, all set the same Rs 500 fee and the same payment route.
We read those three advertisements on kppsc.gov.pk, the Commission's notice on refunds and its first computer based test release. We also opened the account creation page to see each field it asks for. We did not submit an application, because no advertisement was open on 3 October 2026.
KPPSC charges Rs 500 and closes applications at 5:00 pm
Every recent KPPSC advertisement asks for a Rs 500 application fee, plus the bank's own service charge. Applications are online only and close at 5:00 pm on the last date. The fee is not refunded, even if you miss the deadline after paying.
| Item | What KPPSC says |
|---|---|
| Where to apply | apply.kppsc.gov.pk, online only |
| Application fee | Rs 500, excluding service charges |
| How to pay | 1Bill in banking apps (NBP, HBL, ABL, BoK, BoP) or EasyPaisa, JazzCash, Upaisa |
| Closing time | 5:00 pm on the last date in the advertisement |
| Documents | Not needed at the time of applying |
| Who can apply | Pakistani citizens with a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa domicile |

The refund rule is the one people get caught by. A Commission notice says the fee goes from National Bank straight to the provincial treasury, so it decided to keep its "no refund" practice. Pay only when your form is ready to submit, and do not leave it for the last afternoon.
Create your KPPSC profile with your CNIC first
Your profile is a one-time account. You make it once and use it for every KPPSC post you ever apply for. It needs your CNIC, full name, gender, district of domicile, an email address and a password of 6 to 15 characters.
- Open apply.kppsc.gov.pk and click "Create New User Account".
- Enter your full name as it appears on your CNIC, and choose your gender.
- Type your 13-digit CNIC number.
- Pick your district of domicile from the list. Each district shows its zone number next to it.
- Add an email address you check, set a password, and write the password down somewhere safe.

The form shows an Urdu line asking you to remember or save your password. Take it seriously. If you forget it, there is a "Forgot Password" link on the login page, but it slows you down on a deadline day.
Your domicile decides your zone
KPPSC splits most posts by zone. On the profile form, every district carries a zone from 1 to 6. For example, Peshawar, Mardan and Nowshera show Zone 2, Swat and Malakand show Zone 3, and Abbottabad and Haripur show Zone 5. Merged districts such as Khyber, Bajaur and Kurram show Zone 1.
Choose carefully. The advertisement says anyone holding two domiciles on the closing date will be rejected. If you have not got your certificate yet, the steps to get a domicile certificate come first.
Fill the application and pay through 1Bill
After logging in, pick the advertisement and post serial number, fill your education and personal details, and generate the fee voucher. Pay it through the 1Bill option in a banking app or wallet. The form is treated as final once you submit.
Three things in the form matter more than the rest:
- Serial and sub-serial number. One application covers one serial. If you are applying under a quota, such as female, minority or disabled, the advertisement asks you to mention the sub-serial number for that quota.
- Your marks and degrees. KPPSC says it will call you for the test based on what you type, and you must prove every entry with documents later.
- Domicile for married women. A married woman not already in government service can use her husband's domicile or keep her own. Once chosen in the online form, it cannot be changed.
The general conditions also ask you to preview the form for mistakes before you submit. Do it. There is no edit button after that.
Check the age limit and relaxation before you pay
Age is counted on the closing date of the advertisement. Most BPS-17 posts in 2026 allowed 21 to 32 years. Relaxation adds up to 10 years for some groups, 5 for minorities and 3 for backward areas, under the 2008 relaxation rules.
| Group | Extra years allowed |
|---|---|
| Disabled persons, divorced women, widows | Up to 10 years |
| Government servants with 2 years' continuous service | Up to 10 years |
| Minority candidates | 5 years, automatic |
| Backward areas listed in the rules | 3 years, plus one other relaxation |
| Development project staff of the KP or federal government | Equal to project service, up to 10 years |

Overage candidates who are shortlisted must get a relaxation order from the competent authority before interviews finish. Government employees can apply directly, but they need a Departmental Permission Certificate when the Commission asks for it.
Send documents within 15 days of passing the test
You only send documents if you pass the screening or ability test. The advertisement gives you 15 days from the result to submit them. Miss that window and your application is rejected without another notice.
Keep these ready from the day you apply, not the day the result comes out:
- CNIC and domicile certificate.
- Degrees and transcripts from a recognised institution. KPPSC does not accept papers from unrecognised ones, so check your university is HEC recognised if you have any doubt.
- An HEC equivalence certificate if you are claiming an equivalent qualification.
- A disability certificate from the Provincial Council for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons, for the disabled quota.
- A minority certificate from your institution or authority, for the minority quota.
The pass mark for ability tests is 33 per cent. When applications far outnumber posts, KPPSC can shortlist through a subject test, a general ability test, or academic record.
Tests are moving to computers
KPPSC started computer based tests on 24 September 2026, run with the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA). The first ones were held at the KPPSC IT Lab in Peshawar. ETEA is the same body behind the ETEA test registration many KP candidates already know.
Call letters for tests are posted on kppsc.gov.pk, under E-Letters. KPPSC does not promise to post them to you, so check the site yourself every few days.
Fix common KPPSC application problems
Most problems are a forgotten password, a fee that has not shown up, or a wrong entry. Use "Forgot Password" for the first. For the rest, email online@kppsc.gov.pk with your CNIC, or call the help lines during office hours.
- Forgot password: use "Forgot Password" or "Reset Password" on the login page.
- Fee paid, not showing: keep the 1Bill receipt and email it with your CNIC. Write in short, as KPPSC asks.
- Wrong entry after submitting: email at once with your CNIC and the serial number. Information in the form is treated as final, so a fix is not guaranteed.
- Help lines: 091-9214131, 9212897, 9213563 and 9213750, Monday to Friday.

If you are also looking at jobs in other provinces, the way to apply for government jobs online differs by commission. Balochistan has its own BPSC application process with a different fee.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on 3 October 2026. The Rs 500 fee, the 1Bill payment route and the named banks and wallets, the 5:00 pm closing time, the KP domicile rule, the dual domicile rejection, documents within 15 days of the result, the 33 per cent pass mark, the age relaxation rules, the married women's domicile option and the Departmental Permission Certificate are read in KPPSC Advertisement No. 08/2026 dated 20 July 2026, and the fee is repeated in Advertisements No. 06/2026 (14 April 2026) and No. 09/2026 (10 September 2026), all on kppsc.gov.pk. The no-refund rule is read in the Commission's fee notice on the same site. The start of computer based tests on 24 September 2026 with ETEA is read in KPPSC's own release. The profile fields, password length, district zones, help lines and the online@kppsc.gov.pk address are read on apply.kppsc.gov.pk. We did not submit an application, and no advertisement was open on the day we checked.
