To check whether a State Life policy has matured money waiting, open the Unpaid Claims page on statelife.com.pk and search by the policyholder's name or the policy number. The list shows unclaimed matured policies as at March 2026, with the zone that holds each one. If a policy is on it, you claim at that zonal office with the maturity claim form, a CNIC copy, the original policy documents and your bank details.

State Life says it sends a "Good News" letter to every policyholder when a policy matures, yet many people never come to collect. Addresses change, letters go astray, and families forget a policy bought 20 years ago. We read the search page, the full list, the claim procedure and the zone contact list on 31 October 2026.

Search the State Life unpaid claims list by name or policy number

The Unpaid Claims page has one search box that takes either a name or a policy number. A second link, "All Unpaid Claims Data", opens the whole table, with four columns: serial number, zone name, policy number and policy holder name.

  1. Open statelife.com.pk and find "Unpaid Claims" in the footer, under Press and media.
  2. Type the policy number if you have it, since names repeat.
  3. If you have no number, search the policyholder's name as it would appear in old records.
  4. Note the zone name shown next to a match, for example KARACHI-S.
  5. Call or visit that zonal office to start the claim.

Try more than one spelling of a name. The table we read used old style entries such as "MR" and shortened surnames, so a search for a full modern spelling can miss. The policy number is the surest search.

Claim matured money at the zonal office named in the list

State Life tells claimants to apply at the concerned zonal office and to contact the Functional Head (Policyholders Service) of that zone for help. A maturity claim is not settled online. The "Application for Maturity Claims" form is on the forms page.

The FAQ lists what a maturity claim needs: the Good News letter with your bank details filled in, a valid CNIC, the original policy documents, and the Zakat declaration CZ-50 if you do not want zakat deducted. The CZ-50 must be dated at least a month before the maturity date.

DocumentWhy it is needed
Good News letter or maturity claim formCarries your bank account for payment
Valid CNIC copyProves identity of the policyholder or claimant
Original policy documentsDischarged when the money is paid
Zakat declaration CZ-50Stops zakat deduction, must predate maturity by a month
Indemnity bond and newspaper noticeOnly if the policy document is lost

A lost policy document does not stop the payment

State Life's FAQ is clear on this: losing the policy document does not end its duty to pay. The claim is paid after you give an indemnity bond jointly with two sureties and place a newspaper advertisement about the lost document.

The same applies to a surrender. But for a loan or a survival benefit, you need a duplicate policy first. The duplicate needs an affidavit, a newspaper notice and a Rs 25 alteration fee plus the policy stamp, and takes about a month.

Heirs claim if the policyholder has died

When the policyholder has died, the money goes to the nominee or assignee named in the policy. If there is no nominee, no assignment and no will, State Life pays the holder of a succession certificate or other evidence of title from a court.

The steps for that paper are in getting a succession certificate from NADRA. For a death before maturity, the process and the four State Life claim forms are in the guide to claiming life insurance after a death.

Not sure the policy was with State Life at all? Send the policyholder's CNIC to 99833, the life insurance policy finder that covers other insurers too.

Check the policy is really matured before you travel

A policy appears on the unpaid list only after its maturity date has passed. If you are unsure, check the policy first on the State Life E-Pay page by policy number, which shows the policy and its last payment.

Be careful with anyone who offers to "release" an unclaimed policy for a fee. State Life pays maturity proceeds into a verified bank account in the policyholder's or heir's name. There is no agent fee for collecting your own money.

Common questions

How do I check State Life unpaid claims?

Open the Unpaid Claims page on statelife.com.pk and search by name or policy number. The list shows unclaimed matured policies as at March 2026.

Where do I claim an unpaid State Life maturity?

At the zonal office named next to the policy in the list. Ask for the Functional Head of Policyholders Service there.

What is the CZ-50 form for?

It is the Zakat declaration. Submit it if you do not want zakat deducted. State Life says it must be a month older than the maturity date.

Can I claim without the original policy?

Yes. Give an indemnity bond with two sureties and place a newspaper notice of the loss, as State Life's FAQ explains.

Who gets the money if the policyholder has died?

The nominee or assignee. Without either, the holder of a succession certificate or other court evidence of title.

Does State Life send a letter at maturity?

Yes. It says it sends a "Good News" letter about a month before maturity, which you return with your bank details.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 31 October 2026. We read State Life's Unpaid Claims page, its full unpaid claims table, the State Life FAQs, the forms page and the contact page, all on 31 October 2026. We did not file a claim. Some zone numbers on the contact page are blank, so we list region offices where the zone has no number.
