The TOEFL iBT fee in Pakistan is US$230, set by ETS, the US organisation that runs the test. You pay it in dollars through your ETS account. Taxes are extra, and late registration adds US$49 while a reschedule costs US$69.
ETS publishes one registration fee per testing country on its official fee page, and Pakistan's line reads US$230. That is lower than the US$240 it lists for Afghanistan and well below the US$340 it lists for Oman and Qatar.

TOEFL iBT fee in Pakistan in 2026
ETS charges US$230 to register for TOEFL iBT in Pakistan, before any tax. The fee covers the test itself. Extra services, such as late registration, rescheduling, more score reports or a score review, each carry their own charge on top.

The rupee cost moves with the dollar. Your bank converts US$230 at its own rate on the day and may add a foreign currency charge, so two people can pay slightly different rupee amounts for the same test.
ETS runs a fee reduction voucher worth 50% of the test fee, but it is only for high school seniors in the United States with financial need. It does not apply to test takers in Pakistan.
TOEFL compared with IELTS and PTE in Pakistan
TOEFL iBT is the cheapest of the three big English tests on paper at US$230. PTE Academic costs US$240, and IELTS Academic costs Rs 75,600 to Rs 76,240 in rupees, so the real gap depends on the dollar rate the day you pay.

- PTE Academic: US$240, paid to Pearson in dollars. The PTE fee in Pakistan is the same for the UKVI and Core versions.
- IELTS Academic: Rs 75,600 or Rs 76,240 by city, paid in rupees. The IELTS fee in Pakistan also includes UKVI at Rs 78,820.
Price is rarely the deciding factor. Pick the test your university, scholarship or visa office names first. If you are applying to US universities or the Fulbright scholarship through USEFP, check the exact test and score they ask for before you pay anyone.
How to register for TOEFL iBT from Pakistan
Create an ETS account, choose TOEFL iBT, pick a test centre date or the at-home option, and pay by card, PayPal, e-check or Alipay. ETS also takes registrations by phone and by mail, but only with a card or e-check.
- Create an ETS account on ets.org with your name exactly as it appears on your ID.
- Choose TOEFL iBT and decide between a test centre and testing at home.
- For a home test, check that your computer and room meet ETS's at-home requirements before you book.
- Search dates and centres, select a slot, and add the universities that should get your scores if you know them.
- Pay the fee and keep the confirmation email.
ETS says ID rules depend on where you are from and where you test, and it tells you to check its ID requirements page before booking. A valid passport is the safest document to hold, so finish any passport renewal before you register.
Register early. Booking inside 7 days of the test counts as express registration and adds US$49.
When TOEFL scores come out and how long they last
ETS puts your scores in your ETS account 3 days after the test date. A PDF copy is ready 24 to 48 hours after that. Scores are valid for 2 years, and ETS shows the exact score date at the end of your test.
If you asked for a paper score report before the test, ETS mails it 11 to 15 days after the test date, and local post adds its own delay. Express shipping of paper reports is available in 75 countries and territories for a fee, and ETS offers it during registration where your country qualifies.
Universities receive scores based on the delivery method they use. If you need scores faster, Express Scoring costs US$129. Think hard before paying that, since standard scores already arrive in 3 days.
Changing or cancelling a TOEFL booking
Changing your TOEFL date costs US$69. ETS lists the refund rules for cancellations in the TOEFL iBT Information Bulletin, a PDF on ets.org, and you should read it before you book because the fee is paid in full upfront.
Two smaller fees catch people out. If a card payment bounces, ETS charges US$30. And if you cancel your scores on test day and later want them back, reinstating them costs US$20.
A score review, where ETS rescores Speaking or Writing, costs US$80 for one section and US$160 for both. Request it through your ETS account.
