The PTE Academic fee in Pakistan is US$240, paid in dollars by card when you book on pearsonpte.com. PTE Academic UKVI and PTE Core cost the same US$240, and the PTE Home tests cost US$200. Pearson lists 12 test centres in 8 Pakistani cities.
We read Pearson's own price feed for Pakistan, its test centre list, its booking guide and its cancellation policy on 29 September 2026. The same feed shows US$265 for a test in the United States, so Pakistan sits a little lower.
The price is set in US dollars, not rupees. What you pay in rupees depends on the exchange rate your card uses on the day, plus any charge your bank adds for a foreign currency payment.
PTE fee in Pakistan for every PTE test in 2026
Pearson charges US$240 in Pakistan for PTE Academic, PTE Academic UKVI, PTE Academic Online and PTE Core. PTE Home A1, A2 and B1, for UK family and settlement visas, cost US$200 each. All prices are in US dollars.

Check which test your university or visa office names before you book. Pearson sells PTE Academic UKVI separately for UK work and study visas, so booking the wrong version means paying twice.
For comparison, the IELTS fee in Pakistan is Rs 75,600 to Rs 76,240 in rupees. Which one is cheaper for you depends on the dollar rate on the day you pay.
How to book PTE Academic in Pakistan
Book on pearsonpte.com. Pick the test, a centre and a slot at least 24 hours ahead, create a myPTE account with details that match your passport exactly, and pay by Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover. Your booking then appears in myPTE.
- Click "Book a test", answer where you want to go and what you want to do there, and take the test Pearson recommends.
- Enter your city, choose a test centre and pick a date and time at least 24 hours away.
- Create a myPTE account. Put your first and middle names in "Given names", exactly as your passport shows them.
- Answer the booking questions and agree to the admission, reschedule and cancellation policies.
- Pay by card, enter any voucher or promo code, review the details and click "Submit Order".
The name rule is serious. Pearson says that if your account details do not match your passport, you will not be allowed to take the test and will not get a refund. You can correct details up to 3 days before the test, not after.
Your ID on test day should be a valid passport, and if you are testing outside your country of citizenship it is the only ID Pearson accepts. If your passport is due to expire, finish the passport renewal first, then book.
PTE test centres in Pakistan
Pearson's centre list for Pakistan has 12 centres in Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat and Quetta. Islamabad has three, Karachi and Lahore have two each, and the other five cities have one each.
- Karachi: ITAS on I.I. Chundrigar Road, and JNS Education on Shahra-e-Faisal, PECHS.
- Islamabad: ITAS in Gulberg Greens, JnS Education in Blue Area, and Socio Engineering Technologies in F-5/1.
- Rawalpindi: Technologies Network Alliance, Satellite Town, Murree Road.
- Lahore: JNS Education on MM Alam Road, Gulberg II, and the Pearson Professional Centers Lahore.
- Faisalabad: Beaconhouse International College.
- Gujranwala: OPAL Institute.
- Gujrat: The University of Chenab, on the main G.T. Road.
- Quetta: PEARL Institute of Management and IT.
Book only through pearsonpte.com, even if a centre or agent offers to "arrange" a slot. The fee is the same everywhere, so nobody can honestly sell you a cheaper seat. The checks we list for spotting a fake education agent apply here too.
When PTE results come out
Pearson says PTE Academic takes about two hours to sit and results usually arrive in about two days. Its PTE Core page says 48 hours. You see them in your myPTE account, and you can send them to universities and visa offices from there.
That speed matters for visa files. If you are headed to Australia, the student visa rules changed in September 2026, so read the latest Australian student visa changes before you pick a test date.
PTE refund and reschedule rules
You get a full refund if you cancel more than 14 full calendar days before the test, and 50% between 14 and 7 days. Inside 7 days there is no refund. Rescheduling is free only while more than 14 days remain.
Pearson's policy, last updated on 17 September 2026, adds three details:
- You can reschedule one booking up to 6 times.
- Inside 14 days the "Reschedule" button disappears. You have to cancel, under the refund rules above, and book again.
- For illness or a family emergency, fill in Pearson's emergency reschedule form with evidence no later than 72 hours after your appointment. A free reschedule is at Pearson's discretion.
On a US$240 fee, cancelling at day 10 costs you US$120. Pick a date you can keep.
