What we could and could not confirm

We could not verify the current rules on a UAE government page. We reached the immigration authority's site, but the visa services page we tried returned an error, and we did not find a page setting out the position for Pakistani nationals that we could read.

So everything below is reported rather than confirmed by us. We are marking it that way throughout instead of presenting it as settled.

We are telling you this first because most pages ranking for this question are run by visa agents. They have a commercial interest in the answer being yes, and none of them tells you where their information came from.

The position, as reported

On refusals, agents reported through late 2025 that a large majority of first time and solo applications were being turned down. Applications from people travelling with family, sponsored by a UAE resident, or supported by a solid bank statement and previous travel were reported to do better.

We are passing that on because it sets expectations, not because we can vouch for the numbers. Treat a refusal as a real possibility rather than an unlucky accident, and think hard before spending money you cannot lose.

The mistake that costs the most

This is the part to read twice, because it ruins lives every year.

A visit visa is not permission to work. If someone offers you a visit visa and a job in the same conversation, that is the moment to stop.

Overseas employment from Pakistan runs through a separate legal framework, with licensed promoters and a registration process designed to protect the worker. Someone who travels on a visit visa and starts working has none of it. No registered contract, no protection if wages are withheld, and no standing if the arrangement collapses.

It also follows you. An immigration violation or an overstay sits on a record that other countries look at years later.

Protecting yourself from the agent, not the embassy

Because the route runs through an agent, the structure itself creates the risk. These are the habits that matter.

1. Ask exactly which visa type is being applied for, and get the answer in writing. Visit, tourist, transit and employment are different things with different consequences.
2. Get the fee itemised in writing before you pay anything. Separate the government charge from the agent's own service charge. If they will not split it, that is your answer.
3. Never hand over your original passport for safekeeping. An agent needs copies and, at most, temporary possession for a submission. A passport held as security is leverage against you.
4. Pay a business account, never a personal one. No easypaisa number belonging to somebody's cousin.
5. Keep every receipt and message. If it goes wrong, this is the only evidence you will have.

And a general rule that holds everywhere: an application that is guaranteed to succeed is being sold to you by someone who cannot guarantee it. Nobody outside the issuing authority decides these.

Why we are not printing a fee

You will find plenty of specific rupee and dirham figures for this. We are not adding to them.

We did not read an official rate. The numbers circulating come from agents, they bundle service charges in at different levels, and they change. A fee published by us would become the number a reader argues from, and being wrong about it would cost them.

Ask for the split in writing from whoever is doing your application, and compare across two or three of them. That gets you a real answer for your case, which is better than any figure we could print.

If you are refused

Refusal is common enough that it is worth knowing in advance.

A refusal is not usually explained, and there is generally no appeal in the way people expect. What tends to help on a later attempt is a stronger overall picture: travel history, clear finances, a specific and provable reason for the trip, and where possible a sponsor.

Do not respond to a refusal by paying someone who promises to fix it. That is the point at which people lose the most money, because they have already spent once and are chasing it.
