UHS BS Admission Fall 2026 Phase II: Apply for 18 Allied Health Programmes by 14 October
UHS Lahore BS admission Phase II closes 14 October 2026. Apply for 18 allied health degrees with 60% FSc and 50% in UGAT or MDCAT. Fees, merit and steps.

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore is taking applications for 18 four-year BS programmes at its Jinnah Campus in Kala Shah Kaku until 5:00 pm on 14 October 2026. You need FSc Pre-Medical with at least 60 per cent marks and 50 per cent in the UHS-UGAT test on 18 October, or 50 per cent in MDCAT 2026. Apply at portals.uhs.edu.pk/ug-admission. The fee is Rs 1,000 per programme, plus Rs 3,000 for the test if you did not pass MDCAT.
We read the UHS admission advertisement for Fall 2026 (Phase II), posted on the UHS public notices page, on 9 October 2026. This round matters most for students who missed an MBBS or BDS seat. Your MDCAT score still counts here, and it saves you the test fee. Classes start on 2 November 2026, so the whole process takes about three weeks.
UHS BS admission Phase II closes on 14 October 2026
The online form opened on 2 October 2026 at 9:00 am and closes on 14 October 2026 at 5:00 pm. The UGAT test is on Sunday 18 October, the first merit list follows on 27 October and classes begin on 2 November.
That is a short window. Students who wait for the weekend before the deadline often hit a slow portal, so upload your documents a few days early.

The 18 BS programmes on offer at the Kala Shah Kaku campus
All 18 programmes are eight-semester BS degrees in allied health sciences, taught at UHS Jinnah Campus, Kala Shah Kaku (KSK), on the Lahore to Gujranwala side of the city. You can apply for more than one programme, but each one is a separate application with its own fee.
- BS Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT)
- BS Speech and Language Pathology
- BS Human Genetics and Molecular Biology
- BS Transfusion Medicine and Blood Bank Technology
- BS Human Nutrition and Dietetics
- BS Biomedical Sciences
- BS Public Health
- BS Medical Imaging Technology
- BS Optometry and Orthoptics
- BS Operation Theater Technology
- BS Emergency and Intensive Care
- BS Cardiac Perfusion Technology
- BS Respiratory Therapy
- BS Anesthesia Technology
- BS Audiology
- BS Dental Technology
- BS Occupational Therapy
- BS Orthotic and Prosthetics
Allied health graduates work in labs, operation theatres, imaging rooms and rehab units. Before you pick, check what each degree leads to. Medical Imaging, Anesthesia and Operation Theater Technology are hospital jobs from day one. Public Health and Nutrition lean more towards programmes and community work.
Eligibility: 60% in FSc Pre-Medical and 50% in UGAT or MDCAT
UHS asks for two things. First, HSSC Pre-Medical or an equivalent with at least 60 per cent aggregate marks. Second, at least 50 per cent in UHS-UGAT 2026, or at least 50 per cent in MDCAT 2026 instead of the UGAT.
The MDCAT route is the useful one. If you sat MDCAT on 20 September 2026 and scored 50 per cent or more, you do not need to sit the UGAT and you do not pay its Rs 3,000 fee. The MDCAT 2026 result for Punjab is already on the UHS results portal, so check your marks before you choose a route.
A Level students need an IBCC equivalence certificate, because UHS lists it among the required documents "where applicable". The IBCC equivalence process for O and A Levels can take days, so start it now if you have not.

How UHS works out your merit
Merit is out of 100. Matric (SSC) carries 10 per cent, HSSC Pre-Medical Part I carries 40 per cent, and the UGAT or MDCAT score carries 50 per cent. Admission is on open merit, programme by programme.
| Component | Weight |
|---|---|
| SSC or equivalent | 10% |
| HSSC Pre-Medical Part I or equivalent | 40% |
| UHS-UGAT 2026 or MDCAT 2026 | 50% |
| Total | 100% |
Here is a simple example. A student with 80 per cent in matric, 75 per cent in Part I and 60 per cent in MDCAT gets 8 + 30 + 30, which is 68 out of 100. The test is half the merit, so a good UGAT score can lift a student whose board marks were average.
The UGAT is one paper of 100 multiple choice questions in two hours: 25 English, 25 Biology, 25 Chemistry and 25 Physics. It runs from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on 18 October.
How to apply on the UHS admission portal
Everything is online. UHS says no hard copies are needed. Each uploaded file must be clear and no larger than 1 MB.
- Open portals.uhs.edu.pk/ug-admission and register with an email address you can verify.
- Fill in your details exactly as they appear on your CNIC or B-Form and result cards.
- Upload your CNIC or B-Form, your father's CNIC, a photograph, your SSC certificate or result card, your HSSC Part I result card, your domicile and IBCC equivalence if you have foreign qualifications.
- Choose your programmes. Each programme is a separate application.
- Pay Rs 1,000 per programme, plus Rs 3,000 for the UGAT unless you are using MDCAT 2026, through the payment modes shown on the portal, then upload the proof.
- Check everything and submit before 5:00 pm on 14 October 2026. No changes are allowed after final submission.
- Download your admit card from the UHS website from 15 October and sit the UGAT on 18 October.

Fees are non-refundable. Applying for five programmes costs Rs 5,000 in processing fees, plus the test fee if you need it, so only pick programmes you would actually join.
After the merit list: fee, transfers and campus facilities
Your seat is confirmed only when you pay the programme fee by the notified deadline. Miss it and the seat goes to the next student.
You can appear in more than one merit list but can hold a seat in only one programme at a time. If you are later selected for a programme you prefer, you can ask for a transfer, with a fee adjustment. Once you transfer, you cannot go back to the earlier programme.
UHS lists a free shuttle on set routes to the KSK campus, single-room hostel places subject to availability, and clinical rotations at Jinnah Hospital Lahore, Sheikh Zayed Hospital Lahore, DHQ Hospital Sheikhupura and THQ Hospital Muridke. Students can also use Punjab schemes they qualify for, such as the Honhaar scholarship, the e-bike scheme and the laptop scheme.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on 9 October 2026. We read the UHS advertisement "Admissions: On-Campus Undergraduate Programs Fall 2026 (Phase II)" linked from the public notices on the University of Health Sciences Lahore website, and the application portal address it gives, portals.uhs.edu.pk/ug-admission. We did not submit an application, so we have not seen the payment screens. Tuition fees per programme were not in the advertisement. For help, UHS lists 042-99231305-09.
