UHS MDCAT 2026 Result Is Out for Punjab, 79% Reported to Qualify
UHS has put the MDCAT 2026 result online for Punjab. See how to open it, the reported 79.43% MBBS pass rate, the pass marks and what UHS has not announced.
The University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore has put the MDCAT 2026 result online for Punjab candidates. Open results.uhs.edu.pk, choose the entry test option, then pick the line for MDCAT 2026 held on 20 September. Reports say 79.43 per cent of those who sat the test reached the MBBS pass mark.
We opened the UHS homepage on 25 September 2026. Its top notice reads "The Result of MDCAT 2026 for candidates seeking admissions to Medical and Dental Institutions in Punjab, held on 20th September 2026". The same line sits at the top of the entry test list on the results portal.
Reports say UHS declared the MDCAT 2026 result on 24 September, four days after the test. The headline numbers come from the UHS result title page. That file is kept on Google Drive, and it asked us to sign in, so we could not read it ourselves. We treat the figures below as reported until UHS posts them openly.
About 37,708 Punjab candidates are reported to have reached the MBBS mark
Reports say 49,202 candidates registered with UHS, 47,475 sat the test and 1,727 stayed away. Of those who sat it, 37,708 scored at least 55 per cent, the MBBS minimum. That is 79.43 per cent. For BDS, 40,457 reached 50 per cent.

We checked the reported numbers against each other. The ten score bands add up to exactly 47,475. Every band from 90 marks upwards adds up to 40,457, the BDS figure. And 37,708 out of 47,475 gives 79.43 per cent. So the figures agree with each other, even though we have not seen the UHS page they come from.
Passing is not the same as getting a seat. A pass only lets you apply. Seats go by aggregate merit, so a score just above 99 will not compete with the 8,454 candidates reported at 160 marks or more.
The 55 and 50 per cent pass marks come from PMDC
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) sets the MDCAT pass marks. The standard marks are 55 per cent for MBBS and 50 per cent for BDS. The 2026 paper had 180 questions with no negative marking, so the marks work out to 99 and 90.
We read PMDC's notification of 8 April 2026. It let universities cut the pass mark by up to 3 per cent, to 52 per cent for MBBS and 47 per cent for BDS. That cut applied only to vacant seats in the 2025-26 session. It does not apply to this result.
PMDC's registration notice sets the paper at 81 Biology, 45 Chemistry, 36 Physics, 9 English and 9 logical reasoning questions. That is the 180.
This UHS result covers Punjab only, other regions come from their own universities
MDCAT 2026 was one national test run by five universities. UHS Lahore ran it for Punjab. Candidates could sit it only in the province or region of their domicile, so a Sindh or Khyber Pakhtunkhwa candidate will not find a result on the UHS portal.

PMDC says 138,158 candidates registered across the country, in 34 cities and towns plus a centre in Riyadh. An earlier PMDC release gave 138,160. On the reported Punjab figure, UHS handled about 36 per cent of them. PMDC's own result page still lists only the 2020 to 2022 sessions, when it ran the test itself.
Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal said on 16 September that each university is now responsible for the paper and for "declaration of results". So questions about a Punjab result go to UHS, not PMDC.
You can open the result on the UHS portal in four steps
The result sits on results.uhs.edu.pk, not on the main UHS website. The portal opens on a page of large option buttons. MDCAT is under the entry test option, not under MBBS or BDS, which are for students already in college.
- Open results.uhs.edu.pk/Results/main in a browser.
- Tap the entry test (ET) option. MBBS and BDS here are university exams, not the MDCAT.
- Find "The Result of MDCAT 2026 ... held on 20 September 2026" at the top of the list.
- Tap "Search Result" and enter your details. Reports say it asks for your roll number and name.

UHS has not yet published the 2026-27 admission schedule
On 25 September 2026 the UHS admission news page for 2026-27 listed only two items: the admittance card notice and the rule on original CNIC at the test centre. No prospectus, application dates, merit formula or merit list dates for MBBS and BDS had been posted yet.
So any date you see for the Punjab admission portal right now is a guess. PMDC's admission rules are the Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education (Admissions, Curriculum and Conduct) Policy and Regulations 2025, notified on 5 November 2025. UHS applies them when it opens its own admissions.
The answer key window has already closed. UHS ran its objection portal from 5:00 pm on 22 September to 5:00 pm on 23 September, and said no complaint would be taken after that. Last year UHS also posted a recounting request form after the result. We found no 2026 form on 25 September.
Your intermediate marks count in the aggregate too. If you are still waiting on a board result or a rechecking outcome, the 12th class result for Punjab boards came out on 23 September. And if the score is not what you hoped, the first 48 hours after a bad result matter more than the number.
