Methods to Verify LinkedIn Profile in Pakistan
As mentioned have, there are two methods to verify Linkedin Profile:
- Verifiy with Workspace
- Verify with Persona

1. Click on “Add Verification Badge below profile
2. Choose Verifiy Your Workspace as “Company Name”
3. Enter Workspace Email for verification code (Email ending with company official domain name)

Steps to Verify Profile with Persona
Persona is useful only if you do not work in any company
1. Click “Add Verification Badge” on below your profile picture
Open your LinkedIn profile, click on an “Add verification badge” below your profile picture & LinkedIn will redirect you to Persona’s interface.
2. Persona Tells You What You Need
You will get a quick rundown before starting the verification with persona as follows:
- Persona provides identity verification services for LinkedIn members.
- You need an NFC-enabled government ID (e-passport).
If your passport is not an e-passport, you cannot proceed. Regular passports or ID cards (even with chips) does not help in verifying for us Pakistanis.
3. Select Your Country
When Persona asks for the country that issued your government ID, choose Pakistan. And agree to Persona terms & conditions so you move to the next step of verification.
4. Check for the E-Passport Symbol
If you see a symbol on your passport front cover indicating an NFC chip, it means you have an e-passport. Without this symbol, it is a standard passport and will not help with LinkedIn verification.
5. Upload a Clear Photo of Your E-Passport
Persona will now ask for a photo of your passport front page. Capture a clear picture or upload an existing one from your phone. And tap on use this photo.
6. Review Passport Details
Now please double check that your Name, Document Number, Date of Birth, and Expiration Date match exactly with your passport. If anything is wrong, your verification might fail at the last moment.
7. Scan the E-Passport NFC Chip
Persona will prompt you to bring your phone near the passport front cover (where the chip but you won’t see it). Let the app scan it for a few seconds. You will see a progress indicator confirming it is reading the NFC chip.
8. Take a Live Selfie
Next, Persona wants to ensure the ID belongs to you, so you have to take a live selfie using your phone front camera. Just follow the on screen instructions. Look straight ahead, and the app will snap a quick photo.
9. Verification Done
If everything checks out, Persona confirms your identity and sends that info to LinkedIn. You should then see a verified badge appear on your LinkedIn profile just like ours showing in the picture above. Congrats, you are officially verified!
