Vietnam e-Visa for Pakistanis: $25 Single, $50 Multiple Entry, Up to 90 Days (Official Portal)
Vietnam e-visa for Pakistanis: $25 single or $50 multiple entry on evisa.gov.vn, stays up to 90 days, no refund if refused, border gate rules and steps.

Pakistanis can apply for a Vietnam e-visa online at evisa.gov.vn: it costs $25 for a single entry or $50 for multiple entries, and allows a stay of up to 90 days. The fee is paid on the portal by card and is not refunded if the visa is refused. You must enter and leave Vietnam through a border gate on the government's approved list.
Vietnam is an easy add-on for Pakistanis already travelling to Thailand or Malaysia, and the e-visa saves an embassy trip. The risk is lookalike websites that charge several times the real fee. We read the official portal run by Vietnam's Immigration Department on 24 October 2026. Here is what it costs, who can use it, the steps, and what the portal does not tell you.
The Vietnam e-visa costs $25 single entry or $50 multiple entry
Vietnam's Immigration Department lists the e-visa fee as $25 for a single entry and $50 for multiple entries. You pay through the portal's own payment gateway. The fee is not refunded if your visa is not granted.
| Item | What the portal says |
|---|---|
| Single entry e-visa | $25 |
| Multiple entry e-visa | $50 |
| Longest stay | Up to 90 days |
| Payment | Online, through the portal's payment gateway |
| Refund if refused | None |
| Entry and exit | Only through listed international border gates |
| Result | By email, or by searching on the portal |
Choose multiple entry only if you will leave and come back, for example a side trip to Cambodia. For a single holiday, $25 is enough. Pay with a card that allows international online payments, and check with your bank first, since a declined payment wastes a form.

Pakistani passport holders can use the official portal
The portal says the e-visa is open to foreigners holding passports, except a small group of official categories named in Vietnam's entry law, who apply through an inviting agency instead. It gives no list of excluded nationalities. People barred from entry under the law cannot apply.
That means an ordinary green Pakistani passport goes through the same portal as anyone else. The portal also links a list of nationalities exempt from visas, which we could not open. Assume you need the e-visa unless an official source tells you otherwise.
Keep your passport valid well beyond the trip. Pakistan's FIA also checks the visa at departure, so carry a printout, and read its rules for checking a foreign visa before flying from Pakistan and passport rules before you fly.
How to apply for a Vietnam e-visa from Pakistan
Fill the form on evisa.gov.vn, pay the fee online, then wait for the result by email or check it with the portal's search tool. Print the approved e-visa and carry it with your passport.
- Open evisa.gov.vn and choose the e-visa for foreigners outside Vietnam.
- Fill the application form exactly as your passport reads.
- Pick single or multiple entry and the entry and exit gates you will use.
- Pay $25 or $50 through the portal's payment gateway.
- Note your application code and check the result by email or on the search page.
- Print the e-visa, and fill the pre-arrival form before you land.

The Immigration Department also recommends a pre-arrival declaration at prearrival.immigration.gov.vn before you travel. It says this saves time at the border.
Use only evisa.gov.vn, not a lookalike site
The government portal is evisa.gov.vn, run by the Immigration Department of the Ministry of Public Security. Many private sites copy its look and charge far more than $25. Check the address bar before you pay.
A higher price is the giveaway. If a site asks for much more than $25 for a single entry, it is a middleman, not the government. The official fee is $25 or $50, and nothing on the portal mentions a speed upgrade.
The Immigration Department lists its hotline as +84 24 3825 7941, a service email at foreigners@xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn and a technical support email at technical_support@immigration.gov.vn. Its offices are at 69 Mac Thai To, Hanoi, and 333 to 337 Nguyen Trai, Ho Chi Minh City.
You must enter and leave through an approved border gate
The portal says e-visa holders must enter and exit through international border gates named by the government. It keeps the list on the portal. Pick your gates on the form and stick to them.
Most Pakistani travellers fly into Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, which are major international airports. If you plan to cross by land from Cambodia or Laos, check that the crossing is on the list before you set off. Entering at an unlisted gate can mean refusal at the border.
Once inside, the e-visa cannot simply be extended at will. The portal says an e-visa holder may apply for a new visa only if an agency, organisation or person in Vietnam invites or guarantees them.

What the Vietnam portal does not tell you
The pages we read give no processing time, no list of required documents beyond the form, and no fee in rupees. Apply at least a week before you fly to leave room for a query or a refusal.
Have a clear scan of your passport data page and a recent photo ready before you start, in case the form asks for them. If you are planning a wider trip, the Thailand e-visa for Pakistanis and the Malaysia eVisa for Pakistanis sit next door and can be booked the same week. For a cheaper regional break, the free Sri Lanka tourist ETA is another option.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read the Vietnam National Electronic Visa portal of the Immigration Department, Ministry of Public Security, on 24 October 2026, including its fee, conditions and contact sections. Its border gate list, exemption list, FAQ and instruction pages would not load as text, so we could not confirm processing times, the exempt nationalities or the full gate list. We did not submit an application.
