We read the full fixture list and standings on the FIH tournament management system and the tournament's own website on 19 October 2026, and opened the RTM Klik Sukan+ page the same day. Pakistan have won both matches so far, 8-3 against China and 6-2 against Canada, as we report in the page on Pakistan's two wins at the Sultan of Johor Cup.

Malaysia is three hours ahead of Pakistan, so a 5:05 pm pushback in Johor Bahru is 2:05 pm in Pakistan and a 7:35 pm pushback is 4:35 pm. Both of Pakistan's remaining round-robin matches are on Pitch 1 at Taman Daya Hockey Stadium. The final and the third place match are on 24 October.

Pakistan have a rest day on Monday 19 October and Tuesday 20 October, when Canada play China and Japan play Malaysia. Thursday 22 October is a rest day for everyone.

Five teams, Canada, China, Japan, Malaysia and Pakistan, play each other once. That is ten matches over five playing days, two a day, from 17 to 23 October. The first and second placed teams play the final and the third and fourth play off for bronze. The fifth placed team goes home after the round robin.

RTM Klik's Sukan+ channel is the live stream, and we could not test it from Pakistan
Field Hockey Canada's tournament page points fans to a live stream on RTM Klik, the online service of Radio Televisyen Malaysia, at its Sukan+ sports channel. We opened that page on 19 October 2026 from Pakistan and it loaded a live player with a login icon but no price and no sign-up wall. We did not watch a match on it, so we cannot say whether the hockey plays in Pakistan without a block.
We found no Pakistani broadcaster or streaming app listed for the tournament, and the Pakistan Hockey Federation's website did not load when we tried it. If a Pakistani channel picks it up, it will usually say so on its own social accounts on the day. Until then, the Malaysian stream and the FIH live score page are the two reliable options.

A win over Malaysia on 21 October all but books the final
Pakistan have 6 points, Japan and Malaysia 3 each from one match, and China and Canada 0 from two. A win over Malaysia takes Pakistan to 9. Malaysia could then reach 9 at most, Japan could reach 12, and China and Canada can reach 6. So after a win on Wednesday only a tie on points with Malaysia or Japan could keep Pakistan out, and Pakistan's goal difference of plus 9 is the best in the field.
A draw with Malaysia leaves Pakistan on 7 with Japan to play, which keeps the race open into Friday. A loss would put Malaysia on 6 with a game in hand and make the Japan match on 23 October decisive. We could not read the tournament regulations, so the tie-break order after points is unconfirmed; goal difference is the usual next step in FIH events.
Pakistan have never won this event, and the senior side's calendar follows it
The tournament's own site records that Pakistan have never won the Sultan of Johor Cup and reached the final once, in 2016. This year's field has no Australia or India, so the chance is better than usual. Pakistan's junior and senior teams play under the rules in the page on the FIH rules of hockey from 1 November 2026, which come in a week after this final.
For the seniors, China's Guangdong team are touring Pakistan until 30 October, as set out in the page on the Guangdong hockey tour, and the new Pakistan Hockey League was launched in Islamabad on 14 October. Players from this under-21 squad are the obvious draft pool for it.
