China's Guangdong Hockey Team Tours Pakistan: Match Dates and Grounds From 14 to 29 October
China's Guangdong hockey team tours Pakistan from 12 to 30 October. See the reported match dates and grounds in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, Narowal, Gojra.
Short answer: China's Guangdong men's hockey team is due in Pakistan on 12 October 2026 for a tour to 30 October. The first match is on 14 October against MPCL in Rawalpindi. Nine matches have dates and grounds, and a tenth is tentatively planned for 29 October.
The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) announced the tour on 16 August 2026. We could not open a PHF page with the schedule, so everything below is marked as reported. The opponents named are Pakistani departmental, institutional and club sides, so these are not full national-team matches.
Guangdong's tour runs from 12 to 30 October
The PHF says the Guangdong Regional men's team arrives on 12 October and leaves on 30 October. The aim, in its words, is to strengthen hockey relations between the two countries and give Pakistani players regular international-level matches.
Guangdong is a province, so this is a regional side rather than China's national team. It plays against club and departmental teams. The PHF release says further details on the delegation and match times will follow "in due course".
The first matches are in Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Wah Cantt
The first five matches are in the Rawalpindi and Islamabad area between 14 and 20 October. MPCL plays on 14 October in Rawalpindi. Pak DS plays on 15, 18 and 20 October, and Pakistan Navy plays on 17 October.

The day of the first match is also the day of the Pakistan Hockey League launch, which we cover in the report on the PHL launch in Islamabad on 14 October.
The second half moves to Lahore, Narowal and Gojra
From 23 October the tour moves to Punjab. Pakistan Customs play at DHA Hockey Stadium in Lahore on 23 October. Pak DS play in Narowal on 24 October, Gojra on 26 October and Lahore on 27 October. A tenth match is tentatively set for 29 October.

| Mon 26 Oct | Pak DS | National Hockey Stadium, Gojra |
| Tue 27 Oct | Pak DS | DHA Hockey Stadium, Lahore |

The release reads that the teams "will meet again" on 26 and 27 October, and we have read that as Pak DS. The PHF has not said who plays on 26 October, so check before you travel.
Islamabad and Lahore host five of the ten matches
Islamabad hosts three matches, all at Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium, and Lahore hosts two, with a tenth match still to be placed. Rawalpindi, Wah Cantt, Narowal and Gojra host one each. Pak DS appears in six of the ten.
The same weeks include the SCO hockey tournament planned for Islamabad from 20 November to 2 December, whose teams are not yet named. The Guangdong games are a separate event and are not part of it.
What is not known yet
The tour is long, from 12 to 30 October, and the PHF release is already two months old. Dates can move in that time, as other fixtures this month have shown.
No match time, ticket rule or broadcast plan has been published. The PHF release does not say whether the public can attend or whether the matches are streamed. Do not travel to a ground on the strength of the date alone.
- Pick the nearest match from the two tables above.
- Look for a PHF notice with the start time, which the PHF says will come later.
- Call the ground's hockey office or the PHF before you travel.
- Treat every date as reported until the PHF confirms it.
Pakistan's men have a bigger job ahead. They missed the Asian Champions Trophy, as the report on Pakistan's absence from the Asian Champions Trophy shows, and must come through a qualifier for the Olympics, set out in the guide to the LA28 Olympics qualification route. The PHF says the tour aims to give Pakistani players regular international-level matches at home.

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on 13 October 2026, Pakistan time. The schedule comes from the PHF's press release of 16 August 2026 as carried by the state news agency. We could not open a PHF page with the schedule, and we did not find a PHF update since 16 August, so every date is reported and may have changed. The PHF is one of the bodies in the PSB list of 43 national sports federations.
