How to Get Back Money Sent to the Wrong JazzCash or Easypaisa Number
Sent money to the wrong JazzCash or Easypaisa number? Call 4444 or 3737 first, reverse a CNIC send in the app, and know when SBP Sunwai or the Mohtasib helps.

Sent money to the wrong JazzCash or Easypaisa number? Call the helpline straight away: 4444 or 111-124-444 for JazzCash, 3737 (Telenor) or 042-111-003-737 (other networks) for Easypaisa. Give the transaction ID and get a complaint number. If you sent it to a CNIC through Easypaisa, you can reverse it yourself in the app.
One swapped digit in an 11 digit number is all it takes. The money lands in a stranger's account in seconds, and the wallet cannot simply pull it back. We read both wallets' help pages and the State Bank of Pakistan's rules on 3 October 2026, and the steps below follow them.
Call the wallet helpline in the first hour
Your own wallet is the only one that can start a recovery. Call its helpline, report the wrong transfer, and ask for a complaint number. The faster you call, the better the chance the money is still sitting in the other account and has not been withdrawn.
Keep these details in front of you before you dial:
- The transaction ID (Trx ID) from the receipt or SMS.
- The exact amount, date and time.
- The wrong number or account you typed, and the one you meant.
- A screenshot of the receipt.
| Wallet | Helpline | Complaint email | |
|---|---|---|---|
| JazzCash | 4444, or UAN 111-124-444 | 0325-4444786 | complaints@jazzcash.com.pk |
| Easypaisa | 3737 from Telenor, 042-111-003-737 from other networks | 0341-1103737 | info@telenorbank.pk |

Use only these numbers, taken from the wallets' own pages. Fake "support" accounts reply to people who complain in public comments.
How you sent the money decides what can be undone
A transfer to a CNIC through Easypaisa can be reversed by the sender inside the app, because nobody has collected it yet. A transfer into a JazzCash or Easypaisa account, or into a bank account, needs the helpline. Then the receiving side has to act.
Easypaisa's FAQ says customers can reverse their CNIC transaction within the app, while for "transfer to other banks or easypaisa accounts" they should call the helpline. So if the cash has not been collected at a shop, check the app first.
| How you sent it | What you can do |
|---|---|
| Easypaisa send to CNIC, not yet collected | Reverse it yourself in the Easypaisa app |
| Wallet to wallet, same network | Call the helpline, the wallet contacts its own customer |
| Wallet to another wallet or bank | Call your helpline, it contacts the other institution |
| Raast, by mobile number | Call your own wallet or bank, same as above |
We found no self-service reversal in JazzCash's help pages, so for JazzCash the helpline is the route every time. For Raast, SBP's FAQ says to raise complaints with your own bank or wallet, because Raast payments run between accounts like any other transfer.
What the State Bank rules make the receiving side do
SBP's Electronic Fund Transfers Regulations cover branchless banking platforms, which is what JazzCash and Easypaisa are. They tell the receiving institution to reverse a transfer immediately once its own customer reports the incorrect credit, and to resolve errors within ten business days.
Three rules in those regulations matter most to you:
- A complaint number for every complaint. Ask for it, write it down, and quote it every time.
- Immediate reversal once the receiver reports it. If the person who got your money tells their wallet, it should go back at once.
- Ten business days to resolve an error. If the institution finds no error, it must tell you within three business days.

Here is the honest limit. We found no SBP rule that lets a wallet take money out of a customer's account without that customer agreeing. The receiving wallet calls its customer and asks. If they refuse or cannot be reached, it gets slow.
Steps to follow, in order
Call first, then put it in writing, then wait for the receiving side to reach its customer. Escalate to the State Bank's Sunwai portal or the Banking Mohtasib only if the wallet fails to answer or you are unhappy with its reply.
- Check the app. If it was an Easypaisa send to CNIC, try the reversal in the app first.
- Call the helpline. Report the wrong transfer and get a complaint number.
- Email the same day. Send the complaint number, Trx ID, amount and screenshot to the wallet's complaint address.
- Do not chase the receiver yourself. Let the wallet do it. Never send money to anyone who promises to "unlock" the refund.
- Escalate if ignored. Lodge the case on SBP Sunwai, or with the Banking Mohtasib where it applies.

If you sent it from a bank app into a wallet by mistake, start with your bank rather than the wallet. The bank side of the same process is set out in getting money back from a wrong bank transfer.
Where to escalate: JazzCash and Easypaisa differ
Your wallet is always the first stop. After that, the route depends on the licence behind it. JazzCash is run by Mobilink Microfinance Bank, and SBP says microfinance banks are not covered by the Banking Mohtasib. Easypaisa is run by Easypaisa Bank Limited, a digital retail bank since January 2025.
SBP's Sunwai portal says banks and microfinance banks are the first forum for any complaint. If a bank does not reply within 45 days, or the reply is unsatisfactory, you can go to the Banking Mohtasib. The same page says: "MFBs are not covered by BMP, for such cases, SBP acts as the second fora."
| Wallet | Licence behind it | Second step after the wallet |
|---|---|---|
| JazzCash | Mobilink Microfinance Bank Limited | SBP, through the Sunwai portal |
| Easypaisa | Easypaisa Bank Limited, digital retail bank | Banking Mohtasib, or SBP Sunwai |

There is one wrinkle. JazzCash's own contact page tells customers with unresolved complaints to go to the SBP Sunwai portal or the Banking Mohtasib. SBP's page says the Mohtasib does not cover microfinance banks. So for JazzCash we would start with Sunwai, where the steps are explained in how to file on SBP Sunwai.
For Easypaisa, SBP's press release of 28 January 2025 records that Telenor Microfinance Bank became Easypaisa Bank Limited with a digital retail bank licence. That should put it inside the Mohtasib's reach, but we found no Mohtasib list naming it. The process is set out in how to complain to the Banking Mohtasib.
When someone says they sent money to you by mistake
A call or SMS claiming someone sent you money by mistake, asking you to send it back, is a known trick. Do not send anything. Check your real balance in the app, and if a credit is genuine, tell your wallet so it can reverse it properly.
The "credit" is often a fake SMS, not a real deposit. You send money back from your own balance and lose it. JazzCash's contact page warns that it will never ask for your PIN, OTP or password.

Common questions
Can JazzCash reverse a wrong transfer on its own?
Not without the receiver, as far as the rules we read go. SBP's regulations tell the receiving side to reverse once its customer reports the wrong credit. Call 4444 or 111-124-444 and let JazzCash contact the receiver.
How do I reverse an Easypaisa send to CNIC?
Do it inside the Easypaisa app. Easypaisa's FAQ says CNIC transactions can be reversed by the customer in the app, as long as the money has not been collected.
How long does a wrong wallet transfer refund take?
No fixed time is set for the receiver to agree. SBP's regulations give institutions ten business days to resolve an error once it is reported. If the receiver agrees early, it can be much faster.
What if the receiver has already withdrawn the money?
The wallet can still ask its customer to return it, but it cannot force a refund from an empty account. Keep your complaint number and escalate if you get no clear answer.
Can I complain to the Banking Mohtasib about JazzCash?
SBP says microfinance banks are not covered by the Banking Mohtasib, and JazzCash is run by Mobilink Microfinance Bank. Use SBP's Sunwai portal as the second step instead.
Fees on the transfer itself are not refunded by the rules above. Current wallet charges are listed in JazzCash and Easypaisa charges.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on 3 October 2026. Easypaisa's CNIC reversal, helpline numbers and complaint email are read in its FAQ page, and JazzCash's numbers, email and escalation advice on its contact page. The branchless banking scope, immediate reversal and the ten and three business day rules are read in SBP's Electronic Fund Transfers Regulations (2018). The Raast complaint route is from SBP's Raast FAQs, and the 45 day rule and the microfinance exclusion from SBP Sunwai's grievance page. Easypaisa Bank's licence is from SBP's press release of 28 January 2025, and Mobilink Microfinance Bank's role from JazzCash's schedule of charges for July to September 2026. We did not make a test transfer.
