AdSense Payment on Hold in Pakistan: Every Hold Reason and the Fix (2026 List)
AdSense payment on hold in Pakistan? See every hold Google lists, from PIN and identity to tax info, the 20th deadline, and what to do if a wire never arrives.

If your AdSense payment is on hold in Pakistan, open Payments in your AdSense account and click the red alert at the top: it names the exact hold and the step that removes it. Google's own list has three groups of holds: tax information, payments and identity (including a hold you set yourself), and compliance reviews. Fix it by the 20th of the month, or the money waits another month.
Below is every hold Google names, what each one asks of a Pakistani publisher, the dates that decide whether you are paid this month, and what to do when the payment shows as sent but never reaches your bank. We read Google's AdSense Help pages on payment holds, payment timelines and thresholds on 31 October 2026.
AdSense has three kinds of payment hold, and each has its own fix
Google sorts payment holds into tax information, payments and identity holds, and compliance holds. Most Pakistani accounts hit the identity or address (PIN) hold first. A compliance review needs no action from you; every other hold needs a step in your account.
| Hold shown | What it means | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Tax information missing | Google needs tax details for your payment country | Submit tax info in Payments, then Settings |
| Identity not verified | Your name and documents are not confirmed | Verify your identity with your CNIC or passport details |
| Address not verified | The PIN letter has not been entered | Request the PIN by post and enter it |
| No form of payment | No bank account added yet | Add your bank details for wire transfer |
| Self-hold | You paused payments yourself | Remove the temporary hold |
| Compliance hold, verify information | Google Payments wants to confirm who you are | Follow the alert in the Google payments center |
| Account under policy review | Traffic or policy check is running | Nothing; it lifts if the review clears you |
Google also says other payment problems can create holds. Whatever the label, the alert on your Payments page links to the fix, and that alert is the most reliable thing you have.

The 20th of the month decides whether you are paid this month
AdSense finalises last month's earnings around the 3rd. Any change to payment details, including removing a hold, must be done on or before the 20th. Payments go out between the 21st and the 26th if your balance has reached the threshold.
Miss the 20th and nothing is lost, but the balance rolls over to the next month. So a hold you clear on 22 November means a December payment, not a November one. That single date catches more people than any other rule.
The thresholds for an account paid in US dollars, from Google's threshold table, are below. Tax information and identity are needed from the first dollar.
| Threshold (USD account) | Amount |
|---|---|
| Tax information | $0 |
| Identity verification | $0 |
| Address (PIN) verification | $10 |
| Choose a payment method | $10 |
| Payment | $100 |

Fix an AdSense hold in six steps
Start from the alert, not from guesses. Clear every hold listed, check your bank details letter by letter, and finish before the 20th. Each step below matches a hold in Google's list, in the order most Pakistani accounts meet them.
- Sign in to AdSense, open Payments and click the alert at the top.
- If it asks for tax information, submit it. YouTube creators also have a US tax form to file; the steps are in submitting US tax info for YouTube.
- If it asks for identity, upload documents that match the payee name exactly.
- If it asks for the address PIN, check the postal address, then request and enter the PIN.
- Add your bank account under payment methods, with the SWIFT code and IBAN your bank gives you.
- Recheck Payments after a day. The alert should be gone before the 20th.
The PIN is where most Pakistani accounts stall. Google allows four months from when the PIN is generated, and ordinary post can take weeks. The rules on reissues and lost letters are in verifying your AdSense PIN.

A payment marked pending can take 15 business days by wire
When Payments shows "Payment pending", Google has sent the money. For a wire transfer Google says to allow up to 15 business days, and the time depends on your bank. Only after that does a missing payment need chasing.
Wire is how Pakistani publishers are generally paid. Google's wire page says wire is offered in a number of countries and does not promise a date for others. The account details it asks for are the account holder name, IBAN and SWIFT-BIC, with optional intermediary bank details if your bank uses one for US dollar wires.
If 15 business days pass, do this in order:
- Download the payment receipt from Payments and give it to your bank's foreign remittance desk.
- Ask whether the wire is held for the purpose code or for a name mismatch.
- Check that the account title in AdSense matches your bank's record exactly.
- If the bank sent the wire back, ask it for the return reason in writing, then correct the details in AdSense before the next 20th.
A dollar account can save one currency conversion at your end when your AdSense account pays in US dollars. The options and documents are in opening a dollar account in Pakistan.
A policy review hold needs no action, but it can end in deductions
If the alert says your account is under review for policy compliance, Google says you do not need to act. The hold lifts by itself if your traffic is valid. If Google finds a violation, it can withhold payment and deduct earnings.
Do not buy traffic, click your own ads or ask friends to click while a review runs. The same goes for the ads.txt earnings at risk warning: fix it, because it affects how much you earn rather than whether you are paid.
One more trap: if you have separate payments accounts for AdSense and YouTube, Google says each one must reach the threshold on its own. Your blog and your channel do not add together.
Common questions
Why is my AdSense payment on hold in Pakistan?
Usually because identity, address PIN, tax information or a bank account is missing. The alert on your Payments page names the exact reason.
When does AdSense pay in Pakistan?
Between the 21st and the 26th of the month, if your balance reached the threshold and no hold is active on the 20th.
What is the AdSense payment threshold for Pakistan?
For an account paid in US dollars, Google's table shows $100. Your account shows the exact amount on the Payments page.
How long does an AdSense wire transfer take?
Google says to allow up to 15 business days after the payment is issued. After that, ask your bank to trace it.
Can I pause my AdSense payments?
Yes. Google lets you place a temporary self-hold. Remove it before the 20th when you want to be paid.
Do AdSense and YouTube earnings add up for the threshold?
No, not if they sit in separate payments accounts. Google says each payments account must reach the threshold separately.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 31 October 2026. We read Google's common AdSense payment hold issues page, its payment timelines page, the payment thresholds table, the steps to getting paid page and the wire transfer page, all on support.google.com on 31 October 2026. The USD thresholds come from Google's table; your own account can show different figures. We did not test a hold on a Pakistani account, and Google's wire page does not list the countries it serves, so the statement that Pakistani publishers are paid by wire reflects our earlier reporting rather than a Google list.
