AJK board has extended 11th class registration for session 2026-28: colleges can now register first-year students at the lowest fee of Rs 2,935 until 5 November 2026, and the last stage at Rs 6,405 closes on 16 November. The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Mirpur, issued the revised schedule in a press release dated 30 October 2026.

The change matters most to colleges that missed the old 27 October date. Before this release, the same students would already have cost Rs 4,670 each. We read the press release on the board's notifications page on 31 October 2026, and the full schedule for Intermediate Part I and Medical Technology Part I is below.

Rs 2,935 registration now runs until 5 November 2026

The first stage fee for Intermediate Part I stays at Rs 2,935 a student, but its last date moves from 27 October to 5 November 2026. The hard copy of the registration return, with the paid challan, must reach the board by 12 November.

The board says it extended the schedule because of the recent crisis in Azad Kashmir and the problems students faced as a result. The release is signed by the incharge officer of the registration branch and carries the board number 3534-44 of 2026.

Medical Technology Part I follows the same three dates

Medical Technology Part I uses the same dates but higher fees: Rs 5,875 until 5 November, Rs 10,550 from 6 to 10 November, and Rs 15,225 from 11 to 16 November 2026. Hard copy deadlines are again 12, 17 and 23 November.

Medical Technology is a separate intermediate stream taught in colleges of medical technology. Its fee nearly triples between the first and the last stage, so a late college pays Rs 9,350 more for each student than one that registers this week.

The second stage shrank to five days and the final date stayed the same

Compared with the schedule of 12 October, the cheap window grew by nine days, the Rs 4,670 window shrank to five days, and the last day of registration, 16 November, did not move. The final hard copy date is still 23 November.

Under the 12 October schedule, the first stage ended on 27 October, the second ran from 28 October to 5 November, and the third from 6 to 16 November. Those dates are set out in our earlier report on AJK board 11th class registration for 2026-28. The board also posted a revision on 27 October, and the 30 October release is the newest of the three.

Stage12 October schedule30 October schedule
First (Rs 2,935)Until 27 OctoberUntil 5 November
Second (Rs 4,670)28 October to 5 November6 to 10 November
Third (Rs 6,405)6 to 16 November11 to 16 November

So a college that was preparing to pay the second stage fee this week can now pay the first stage fee instead. For 100 students that is Rs 173,500 saved, by our arithmetic (Rs 1,735 a student).

Colleges, not students, file the registration

Registration is done by the institution. Heads of higher secondary schools, intermediate and degree colleges and colleges of medical technology enter each student's data online, pay the fee at the bank, and send the registration return with the challan to the board.

Students should still check with their college that their name has gone in at the first stage. A student who is left out pays the price later, because a missing registration blocks the admission form for the first annual examination in 2027.

  1. Ask your college whether your data has been entered on the board's online system.
  2. Confirm the fee was deposited by 5 November 2026 for the Rs 2,935 rate.
  3. Check your name, father's name and date of birth on the printed return before it is sent.
  4. Keep a copy of the bank challan, which proves the stage at which you paid.
  5. If your college misses the date, ask which stage it will use and what you owe.
Steps to confirm AJK board 11th class registration before 5 November 2026

The board says there will be no further extension

The release tells all heads of institutions to deposit the registration fee and send the registration return on time, and says no further extension of the schedule will be possible. Treat 5 November as a firm date for the cheapest fee.

Boards often say this and extend anyway. But counting on another extension is a gamble with other people's money. The same board has given single fee relief twice this month, including the extension for AJK inter second annual admission at single fee, and each time the new date was announced only days before the old one ran out.

Matric students in Azad Kashmir have a separate deadline this week. Their second annual exam starts on 3 November, and the AJK board matric 2nd annual date sheet and roll number slip are already out.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 31 October 2026, 01:50 PKT. We read the Urdu press release dated 30 October 2026, number 3534-44 of 2026 from the registration branch, listed as "PR Revised Registration Schedule HSSC-I/Med. Tech 2026-28" on the AJK BISE notifications page. The earlier schedule comes from the board's 12 October release, which we read for our first report. We did not open the 27 October revision. The Rs 173,500 and Rs 9,350 figures are our own arithmetic. We could not confirm what the board means by the "crisis" beyond the wording of the release.
