Applications for the Alkhidmat Academic Scholarship are open on scholarships.alkhidmat.org. It is for students at public sector universities in Pakistan who are in the first half of a BS, medical, engineering or IT degree. You start with an eligibility form, and the portal shows your submission deadline once you pass that check.

We went through Alkhidmat's scholarship portal, its FAQs and the eligibility form on 1 October 2026. The portal's home page says "Scholarship Applications Open". It also says 854 students currently hold the scholarship, across 87 universities.

A deadline of 31 October 2026 is being widely reported. We could not find that date on any Alkhidmat page. So treat it as reported, and apply well before it.

Alkhidmat Academic Scholarship 2026 eligibility: public university, first half of degree, merit and need

Who can apply for the Alkhidmat scholarship

You must be enrolled in a regular, on-campus degree at a recognised public sector university in Pakistan. The degree must be medical, engineering, IT or another undergraduate BS, and you must be in the first half of it when you apply.

Alkhidmat's FAQ gives an example. In a 4-year, 8-semester BS, you must be in the 4th semester or below. By the same rule, a 5-year MBBS or engineering student must be in the first half of the degree.

Three groups cannot apply, according to the same FAQ:

  • Students at private universities.
  • Students in online, distance learning or virtual programmes.
  • Students who have not yet enrolled. The form says you must already be studying in the degree you name.

Selection is based on both merit and financial need. Alkhidmat also says the scholarship is open regardless of caste, creed, gender, religion or political affiliation, and covers students from every province, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

How much the Alkhidmat scholarship pays

Alkhidmat's own programme table lists Rs 9,000 a month for BS and graduation students. Engineering, medical and associate engineering students are listed at Rs 11,500 a month. The portal FAQ says the money supports tuition fees under its approved policy.

ProgrammePer monthPer yearPlan length
BS (Hons) or MastersRs 9,000Rs 108,0004 years
GraduationRs 9,000Rs 108,0004 years
EngineeringRs 11,500Rs 138,0005 years
MedicalRs 11,500Rs 138,0005 years
Associate EngineeringRs 11,500Rs 138,0004 years

One honest caution: this table sits on Alkhidmat's donor page, where it shows what it costs to sponsor one student. It is the clearest figure Alkhidmat publishes. The exact amount in your award letter can still depend on your category and the policy for your year.

The money is not the only part. Scholars get mentoring, soft skills training, career guidance and volunteering with Alkhidmat. The scholarship carries on each year only if your results, attendance and involvement in those activities stay good.

How to apply on scholarships.alkhidmat.org

The application has three steps. First an eligibility registration form, then an account if you pass, then the full application with documents. Each CNIC, email address and phone number can register only once, so use your own details and get them right.

  1. Open the portal. Go to scholarships.alkhidmat.org and click Register Now.
  2. Fill in the eligibility form. Pick your applicant category. Enter your name, CNIC or B-Form, date of birth, domicile district, mobile and WhatsApp numbers and email. Verify your email with the code it sends.
  3. Add your current degree. Choose your university type and name, degree level, degree title, start date and expected end date. Then enter your Matric and Intermediate marks.
  4. Say whether you already get a scholarship from another organisation. The form asks this directly.
  5. Submit for the eligibility check. If you pass, the portal shows "Submission Deadline" with your date, and lets you create an account.
  6. Complete the full application in your account, upload your documents and submit before that deadline.

Use an email address you check every day. Alkhidmat says all later messages about your application and scholarship go there, and changing it later needs a verified process.

Steps to apply for the Alkhidmat Academic Scholarship on the online portal

Documents to keep ready

Alkhidmat asks for academic transcripts, proof of your family's financial need, and a copy of your CNIC or B-Form. Scan them before you start. The form also needs your university roll or registration number if one has been issued.

  • Matric and Intermediate result cards, with total and obtained marks.
  • Your latest university transcript or result.
  • Proof of your family's financial need.
  • CNIC or B-Form.
  • Your university enrolment details.

The deadline you see after the eligibility step is the one that counts for you. Don't confuse it with other charities' dates. The Alfalah Scholarship Society, a separate organisation, lists 1 August to 31 October 2026 on its own form. If you are still at school, the Dalda Foundation scholarship is open to students after Matric, and the PEEF scholarship serves Punjab students.

Other scholarships for public university students

The Alkhidmat scholarship is one of several for students at public universities. HEC's need-based scholarship pays tuition and a monthly stipend through your university. Applying to more than one is usual, but declare any award you already hold.

The HEC need-based scholarship is applied for through your university's financial aid office. Ask that office about donor scholarships at your own university too.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked on 1 October 2026. We read the Alkhidmat Academic Scholarship portal's home page, FAQs, About page and eligibility form, and the programme table and FAQs on alkhidmat.org. The 31 October 2026 deadline is reported only; Alkhidmat shows each applicant's deadline inside the portal. The per-month figures come from Alkhidmat's sponsorship table, and award amounts may vary by category.
