PEEF Scholarship 2026-27 in Punjab: Who Qualifies and How to Apply

The Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) has not yet announced its 2026-27 scholarship round. When we checked peef.org.pk on 29 September 2026, the newest call was still the 2025-26 Special Quota round, which opened on 29 September 2025 and closed on 18 November 2025. Most PEEF scholarships need no application at all. The two you do apply for are Special Quota and Master's level.

That split is the thing most families miss. PEEF says it gives 80% of its scholarships through "Outreach", where it takes board result data and contacts top students itself. The other 20% are Special Quota scholarships for five groups of students, and those are the ones advertised with an online form.

PEEF is a Punjab government fund based in Lahore. Its own update says it had awarded more than 492,000 scholarships worth over Rs 30 billion by 31 December 2025. The stipend is set as a monthly rate, from Rs 2,500 for Intermediate up to Rs 9,000 for a Master's student living in a hostel.

The PEEF 2026-27 round is not open yet

As of 29 September 2026, PEEF has published no 2026-27 advertisement, form or deadline. Its latest news item is the 2025-26 Special Quota call, and its Master's level page still refers to the 2025-26 academic year. Watch peef.org.pk for the new round.

Last year's Special Quota call went up on 29 September. So a 2026-27 call in the next few weeks would fit the pattern, but that is our reading of one past date, not a PEEF promise. Until PEEF posts it, any "PEEF 2026 form" you see shared on WhatsApp is not from PEEF.

Who can get a PEEF scholarship

PEEF scholarships are for students who passed Matric or Intermediate in the annual exam of a Punjab board or the Federal Board, whose parents earn Rs 60,000 a month or less, and who joined a regular institution full time the same year.

• Board and exam: Matric or Intermediate from a Punjab BISE, or from FBISE if your federal school or college is inside Punjab. Annual exam only.
• Income: declared monthly family income from all sources of Rs 60,000 or less.
• Admission: enrolled full time in a regular institution in the same year you passed.
• No other scholarship in the same academic year.
• Marks: the 2025-26 Special Quota advert asked for at least 60% marks.

Two groups are exempt from the income limit: children of government employees in BPS 1 to 4 whose salary is the only income, and children of civilians martyred in terrorist attacks.

Some students are ruled out. PEEF says marks improvers, students who passed in a supplementary exam, and students who passed with grace marks cannot apply. The 2025-26 advert also said TEVTA and PBTE pass outs could not apply for Special Quota, and neither could students from other provinces, AJK or Gilgit-Baltistan. Those students have separate PEEF quotas, run through their own public institutions.

The Special Quota is the PEEF scholarship you apply for online

Special Quota scholarships are 20% of PEEF's awards. Its page lists six groups of students: orphans, children of BPS 1 to 4 employees, religious minorities, students with disabilities, children of civilians martyred in terrorist attacks, and children of divorced mothers.

Each group needs one proof document, uploaded with the form. The 2025-26 advert listed them as follows.

When a round is open, the steps PEEF describes run like this:

1. Apply online at student.peef.org.pk on the Special Quota registration page before the closing date.
2. Upload your category certificate. The advert warned that forms without it will not be considered.
3. If you are shortlisted, PEEF posts an intimation letter and a scholarship form to your home address.
4. Fill in that form and send it back to PEEF.
5. PEEF checks it and makes merit lists by district, category and gender, then pays through your institution.

Students joining a medical college were asked last year to upload their MDCAT result card too. Wrong or incomplete information gets the application rejected, so check every field before you submit.

Outreach and Master's level scholarships work differently

Outreach scholarships need no form: PEEF takes board data and contacts tehsil toppers itself. Master's level scholarships are applied for through your university's financial aid office, never directly to PEEF.

For Outreach, PEEF splits Punjab's districts into developed and less developed ones and picks students with top positions in each tehsil and study group. If you did well in Matric or Intermediate, the useful step is to keep your address and phone number on your board record correct, because that is how PEEF reaches you.

For Master's level, the current page asks for a Punjab domicile, at least 60% marks or a CGPA of 2.5 in a 16 year graduation, full time admission in a partner university, and the same Rs 60,000 income limit. You download PEEF's form and an income affidavit, then hand them to the partner university. PEEF says forms sent straight to its office will not be entertained.

PEEF stipend amounts and how they are paid

PEEF pays Rs 2,500 a month at Intermediate, Rs 5,500 a month for graduation and professional degrees such as BS, MBBS and engineering, and Rs 7,500 a month at Master's level, or Rs 9,000 for Master's students living in a hostel.

The money goes through your institution, twice a year. PEEF releases the next instalment only after it gets the acknowledgement for the last one and a satisfactory academic report. The scholarship lasts until the degree ends, but it can be cancelled for poor results or a disciplinary case.

Punjab students often hold more than one option. PEEF bars a second scholarship in the same year, so compare it against the Honhaar scholarship or the Dalda Foundation scholarship before you accept one.

Is the PEEF scholarship 2026-27 open?

Not yet. On 29 September 2026, PEEF's website showed no 2026-27 advertisement or deadline. The last round was Special Quota 2025-26, which closed on 18 November 2025.
