Allied Hospital Faisalabad: OPD Timings, Departments and the Sehat Card Rule
Allied Hospital Faisalabad OPD runs 8am to 4pm, and to 1pm on Friday. See Allied I and II, departments, how to see a doctor, and why no Sehat Card is needed.
The OPD at Allied Hospital Faisalabad opens at 8am. It closes at 4pm Monday to Saturday and at 1pm on Friday, under a Punjab government order for all teaching hospitals. Treatment is free, so you do not need a Sehat Card there.
Allied Hospital is the main teaching hospital of Faisalabad Medical University, the home of Punjab Medical College. It is really two hospitals now. The Punjab government lists Allied Hospital and Allied Hospital-II separately among its teaching hospitals in Faisalabad.
We read the Punjab Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department's pages, its OPD timing order and the university's website on 29 September 2026. Below is what those official pages confirm. We also say plainly what they do not publish, such as a patient phone line.
Allied Hospital OPD timings in Faisalabad
OPD, the outpatient department, is where you see a doctor without being admitted. At Allied Hospital it runs from 8am to 4pm on Monday to Thursday and Saturday, and from 8am to 1pm on Friday. The hours include a lunch and prayer break.

These hours come from a notification of the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department, known as SH&ME, dated 23 December 2021. It covers every teaching and specialised hospital under the department. It is still the latest OPD timing order in the department's list of notifications.
Friday is the short day. If your visit is routine, go on another weekday and go early.
Allied Hospital and Allied Hospital-II are separate hospitals
SH&ME lists two hospitals by this name in Faisalabad: Allied Hospital, and Allied Hospital-II. The university also calls the first one Allied Hospital-I. Check which one your doctor or referral slip means before you set off.
The same SH&ME list also names the Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology, the Children Hospital Faisalabad, Faisalabad Teaching Hospital and a dental section of Punjab Medical College and Allied Hospital. So heart and children's cases may be sent to those hospitals instead.
Faisalabad Medical University names Allied Hospital, the DHQ Hospital and the Ghulam Muhammadabad hospital as the hospitals where its students train. Its Vice Chancellor visited both Allied hospitals in September 2026, the university says, to review patient care.
Departments and special units at Allied Hospital
Faisalabad Medical University runs more than 30 clinical departments, which staff its teaching hospitals, including Allied Hospital. They include five medical units, five surgical units, three children's medical units and three gynaecology units.
- Medicine and allied: Medical Units I to V, Paediatric Medical Units I to III, Cardiology, Dermatology, Neurology, Nephrology, Radiology, Psychiatry, Pulmonology and Oncology.
- Surgery and allied: Surgical Units I to V, Anaesthesia, ENT Units I and II, Plastic Surgery, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology Units I and II, Paediatric Surgery, Urology Units I and II, Neurosurgery, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology Units I to III.
The university does not say which unit sits in which of its hospitals. Ask at the hospital's enquiry desk for the right OPD.
Two units at Allied Hospital-I were in the university's news in September 2026. The Allied Burn and Reconstructive Surgery Center is a 55-bed unit for burns and plastic surgery. And the radiology department treated its first liver tumour by ablation, a procedure that destroys the tumour through a needle without open surgery. The university says the facility is free for deserving patients.
How to see a doctor at Allied Hospital
We found no online appointment or token system for Allied Hospital on any official page. Plan to go in person during OPD hours. Take your CNIC and your old reports, and go early, because teaching hospital OPDs fill up fast.
- Check whether you need Allied Hospital or Allied Hospital-II.
- Arrive after 8am on a working day, and before 1pm on a Friday.
- Carry your CNIC, or the child's B-Form, plus old prescriptions and test reports.
- Ask at the enquiry desk for the registration counter and your department's OPD.
- Keep your OPD slip for any tests, the pharmacy and your next visit.
If a doctor refers you to another hospital, such as the cardiology institute, ask for the referral in writing. It saves time at the next counter.
Emergency, Sehat Card and fees
Treatment at Allied Hospital is free, and the Sehat Card is not used there. The Punjab Health Initiative Management Company says the card was stopped in government hospitals because treatment in them was already free. For an ambulance, call Rescue 1122.
The university's report of the September 2026 visit to Allied Hospital-II mentions its emergency and patient care areas. We found no official page that gives emergency hours for either hospital, so we do not state them.
The Sehat Card still works in empanelled private hospitals. There it pays fully for cancer, ICU, CCU and emergency care, and half for most other treatment. Faisalabad Medical University lists +92 41 9210080 and its address on Sargodha Road, Faisalabad. That is the university, not a patient line. We found no official Allied Hospital phone number on the university or SH&ME websites.
If something goes wrong with your care, start with the Medical Superintendent's office inside the hospital. If that fails, you can file a complaint against a hospital or doctor in Punjab with the Punjab Healthcare Commission.

The Faisalabad Medical University website gave the attached hospitals, the department list, the university's contact details and its September 2026 news on the burn centre, the ablation case and the hospital visits. The Punjab Health Initiative Management Company's FAQ page gave the Sehat Card position. We could not find a hospital phone number, a street address for each hospital, emergency hours or an online token system on any official page.
