You need 55 per cent in MDCAT and 60 per cent in HSSC Pre-Medical
An applicant must have passed MDCAT in 2026, 2025 or 2024 with at least 55 per cent for MBBS. The HSSC Pre-Medical result, or an equivalent 12 year qualification recognised by the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), must be at least 60 per cent with Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics.
Merit is calculated as Matric 10 per cent, FSc 40 per cent and MDCAT 50 per cent. That split matches the policy covered in the report on the Punjab MBBS and BDS admission policy 2026-27. Your MDCAT figure is on the UHS result page, explained in the guide to checking your MDCAT result and aggregate.
Holders of a domicile of any district of Pakistan can apply. There is also a 15 per cent seat quota for Overseas Pakistanis and dual nationals in each medical college. If seats in that quota stay empty, they move to open merit and the student pays the open merit fee.
The Rs 2,000 fee is paid by challan and 1Bill top-up is not allowed
The application processing fee is Rs 2,000. It is non-refundable and non-transferable. You generate a challan on the portal and pay it at Bank of Punjab (BOP) or National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) through a branch, or through the 1Bill invoice option. UHS says the 1Bill top-up option must not be used.
Upload the paid challan or receipt on the same portal within the stated time. Keep the receipt until the final list. A wrong payment channel is an easy mistake and a costly one, so read the challan line before you pay.
Upload attested documents of up to 500 KB each in PNG or JPG
You must upload clear scans in PNG or JPG format, each not above 500 kb. The notice lists the matric and HSSC certificates attested by the board, the domicile certificate, your CNIC or B-Form, and a CNIC of your father, mother or guardian. Foreign qualifications need an IBCC equivalence certificate.
Overseas Pakistani applicants also upload a valid Iqama, residence permit, green card or foreign passport, and do not need a domicile. For overseas candidates the notice also allows SAT-II (550 in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics) or MCAT (International) and UCAT results, with 50 per cent in the required subjects.
- Open privatembbs.uhs.edu.pk on or after 23 October and register with name, email, CNIC, mobile number and password.
- Complete your profile, choose Open Merit or Overseas seat, and enter your marks and MDCAT score.
- Upload your documents in PNG or JPG, each under 500 kb.
- Pick colleges in order of preference. You need at least one, and there is no upper limit.
- Generate the Rs 2,000 challan, pay it at BOP or NBP, and upload the receipt.
- Print the form, check it, and submit before 5:00 pm on 6 November.

Your college order is final after the deadline and two colleges are admitted under court orders
You can edit your application until the closing time, but the number and order of colleges become final after the deadline. A candidate is not considered for any college that is not on the list. The notice lists 34 colleges, and two carry a note.
RYK Medical and Dental College, Rahim Yar Khan, is allowed provisionally under a court order dated 30 September 2026 (W.P. No. 4909/2026). Watim Medical College, Rawalpindi, is allowed for 2026-27 under a court order dated 14 October 2026 (W.P. No. 5385/2026). Both are subject to PM&DC approval. Ask the college what that means for you before you rank it.
Fees differ across colleges, and the notice says candidates should visit colleges or read their official pages before choosing. For the regulator's ceilings, see the report on the PM&DC tuition fee cap for private medical colleges. Public college applications are covered in UHS MBBS admission to public colleges.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 22 October 2026. We read the UHS notice "MBBS and BDS Admissions, Private Sector Medical and Dental Colleges in Punjab, Session 2026-27" on the UHS website. All dates, fees, eligibility rules, portals and court order notes come from that notice. We did not open the application portals, which were not yet live, and we could not see a publication date on the notice. College fees are not in the notice, so we give none. Confirm every date on the UHS site before you apply.
