Balochistan Driving Licence Verification by CNIC: Quetta Traffic Police Website and App

To verify a Balochistan driving licence, open qtp.gob.pk, choose Driving License, then License Verification, type the 13-digit CNIC, tick the captcha box and press Verify. The Quetta Traffic Police also run an Android app, Balochistan Traffic Police, that lists licence verification, licence history and traffic violation history.

We opened the site and read its code on 24 October 2026, and read the app's Play Store listing the same day. Here is what the check asks for, what a result shows, how to look up challans in Quetta, and who to call when the record is wrong.

Balochistan licence verification takes the CNIC and a captcha

The form on the Quetta Traffic Police website has one box for the CNIC and a Google captcha. There is no licence number field. As you type, the box adds the dashes for you, so enter the 13 digits and let it format them.

The site's code shows the CNIC must be complete and the captcha ticked before the form sends anything. If the record is not found, the page shows the system's own error message in a pop-up.

We did not run a search with a real person's CNIC, because the captcha needs a human click and we will not test with someone else's identity. So the result fields below come from the page's code, not from a screen we saw.

How to verify a Quetta driving licence in five steps

Open the official site, go to the License Verification page, type the CNIC, tick the captcha and press Verify. Then compare every field with the card. The whole check takes a minute or two on a phone.

1. Open qtp.gob.pk in a phone or computer browser.
2. Choose Driving License in the menu, then License Verification.
3. Type the 13 digits of the CNIC. The dashes appear by themselves.
4. Tick the "I am not a robot" box and press Verify.
5. Match the name, category, branch and expiry date with the card.

If you are hiring a driver in Quetta, ask for the CNIC and run the check with him present. A category mismatch matters most: a car licence does not cover a rickshaw, taxi or truck, which need an LTV or HTV licence.

The Balochistan Traffic Police app adds licence and violation history

The Android app called Balochistan Traffic Police, published by Quetta Traffic Police, lists verification, licence fee calculations, test practice, licence history, complaints, traffic violation history and black points. It shows more than 50,000 downloads and an update dated 29 July 2026.

The Quetta Traffic Police website links to the app from its Download Our App page, so you can be sure you have the official one. Install it from that link rather than searching the store, because a store search can show other apps with similar names.

One point from the app's own Play Store safety section: it says data is not encrypted, and the app may collect personal information and photos. Only enter your own details, and do not use it on public Wi-Fi.

Quetta challans have no web check, only the app and counters

We found no online challan search on the Quetta Traffic Police website. Its traffic page says challans are issued on handheld devices with thermal printers and that three challan counters handle deposits and the return of papers. The app lists violation history.

So for a challan in Quetta, keep the printed slip and pay at a counter as the slip directs, or look in the app's violation history. Do not trust any message offering an "online Quetta challan" link. Real systems do not ask for a card number by SMS, as the fake e-challan SMS scam shows.

Call the SSP Traffic office if the record is wrong

When the record is missing, shows the wrong category, or does not match the card, contact the Quetta Traffic Police office before you rely on the licence. The site lists one phone number, one email and the office address on Spinny Road.

A licence from Punjab, KP, Islamabad or Azad Kashmir will not be on the Quetta system. Use the portal of the place that issued it, listed in driving licence verification in every province.

On 24 October 2026 we opened the Quetta Traffic Police License Verification page, its contact, app and licence pages, and read the site's JavaScript code for the form and result fields. We read the Balochistan Traffic Police app listing on Google Play the same day. We did not submit a search, and we have not used the app, so we could not confirm what a real result or the violation history looks like.
