To pay Balochistan vehicle token tax online, open taxes.excise.gob.pk, enter your mobile number, registration number and district, pick annual or lifetime tax, and generate a PSID. Pay that PSID within 30 days through a bank app, ATM, JazzCash or Easypaisa.

The service is called BETO, the Balochistan Excise E-Payment Service, and the Excise, Taxation and Anti-Narcotics Department links it from its homepage as "Online Tax Payment". We opened it on 29 September 2026 and read its steps and on-screen messages in the application itself.

A PSID is a payment slip ID: a single number that tells the bank exactly which tax you are paying. You never pay the excise office directly online. You pay the PSID through the banking system, and the tax is marked paid.

How to pay Balochistan token tax online in 6 steps

BETO works like a short wizard. You identify your vehicle, check the details it finds, choose how you want to pay the tax, and get a PSID to pay anywhere in the 1-Link banking network. It takes a few minutes if your record is complete.

  1. Open taxes.excise.gob.pk, or press "Online Tax Payment" on the excise department's homepage.
  2. Enter your mobile number as 10 digits starting with 3, such as 3001234567, without the first zero.
  3. Enter the vehicle registration number and choose the district where it is registered.
  4. Press "Get Vehicle Detail" and check the owner's name, registration number and filer status.
  5. Choose the tax frequency, annual, bi-annual or lifetime, and see the amount due.
  6. Generate the PSID, copy it or download it as a PDF, and pay it within 30 days.
Six steps to pay Balochistan vehicle token tax online on BETO with a PSID

BETO says in both English and Urdu that the PSID is valid for 30 days. If you miss that window, generate a new one. Do not pay an old PSID you found in a drawer.

Paying by PSID works much the same way as paying token tax online in Punjab, so the bank side will feel familiar if you have done that before.

Where to pay the PSID

BETO's own instructions say you can pay by ATM, inter-bank fund transfer, or at any 1-Link member bank branch, and it names Easypaisa, JazzCash, HBL Konnect and Omni. In a banking app, look for the government payments or PSID option and paste the number.

  • Mobile banking app: choose the government or PSID payment option, paste the PSID and confirm the amount.
  • JazzCash or Easypaisa: the same, under government payments.
  • ATM: look for bill payment or government payments on a 1-Link ATM.
  • Bank branch: hand over the printed PSID at any 1-Link member bank.

Keep the payment confirmation. BETO can bring up a PSID again from its number, but your own screenshot of the paid confirmation is the quickest proof if anyone asks.

Balochistan token tax rates for cars from July 2025

The excise department's rate schedule, in force from 1 July 2025, charges cars and jeeps either a yearly tax or a one-time lifetime tax. The lifetime amount falls as the car ages. A new 1,300cc car, for example, pays Rs 17,000 lifetime or Rs 1,400 a year.

Engine sizeYearly optionLifetime, under 5 years oldLifetime, 5 to 10 yearsLifetime, over 10 years
Up to 660ccRs 1,000 (5 years and older)Rs 10,500Rs 9,500Rs 8,500
661 to 1,000ccRs 1,100 (5 years and older)Rs 12,000Rs 11,000Rs 10,000
1,001 to 1,500ccRs 1,400Rs 17,000Rs 15,000Rs 13,000
1,501 to 2,000ccRs 1,700Rs 20,000Rs 18,000Rs 16,000
Above 2,000ccRs 2,000Rs 24,000Rs 22,000Rs 18,000

Two things in the schedule are worth knowing. For cars up to 1,000cc, a new car must pay the lifetime tax; the yearly option only opens after five years. And the 1,001 to 1,500cc row prints the middle figure as "Rs 1,5000", which we read as Rs 15,000 because it sits between Rs 17,000 and Rs 13,000.

Other vehicles pay flat rates. A motorcycle or scooter pays Rs 1,500 once for life, a rickshaw Rs 2,000 a year, and a pickup or delivery van Rs 2,000 a year. Tractors used for farming are exempt. The late penalty is Rs 120 a quarter.

Electric vehicles are taxed in the category they match after their motor power is converted to an engine size. BETO itself cannot calculate them yet, as the next section explains.

When BETO sends you to the excise office

BETO stops and sends you to your district excise office, called the ETO, when your record is incomplete or old. That happens with no CNIC linked to the vehicle, a missing last payment date, zero engine size, electric vehicles, and arrears from before July 2025.

Message you seeWhat to do

The arrears rule catches many older vehicles. If you last paid before July 2025, expect to visit the office once, clear the old tax, and use BETO after that.

Picking the wrong district also produces "No vehicle details found". Choose the district where the vehicle was registered, not where you live now.

Check a Balochistan vehicle before you buy it

The excise department's homepage links an online vehicle verification form. You enter the registration number, choose the district from a list of 25, and it returns the record. Run it on any used car before you pay the seller.

The verification form sits on a separate domain, etanb.com, rather than a government address. We reached it through the excise department's own homepage link, which is the safe way to find it. Do not trust a copy sent to you on WhatsApp.

BETO also shows the tax status once you enter a number. So a buyer can see whether tax is paid up before the sale, and a seller can clear it first. Buyers of a car registered elsewhere can run a vehicle verification on that province's own system.

For complaints about the excise office itself, the Chief Minister's AWAAZ complaint portal takes grievances against Balochistan departments.

Common questions

What is the website to pay Balochistan token tax online?

taxes.excise.gob.pk, the Balochistan Excise E-Payment Service, or BETO. The excise department links it from its homepage as "Online Tax Payment".

How long is a Balochistan token tax PSID valid?

30 days. BETO says so on screen in English and Urdu. After that, generate a new PSID.

Can I pay Balochistan token tax with JazzCash or Easypaisa?

Yes. BETO names JazzCash, Easypaisa, HBL Konnect and Omni, along with ATMs, inter-bank transfer and 1-Link member bank branches.

What is the lifetime token tax for a new 1,300cc car in Balochistan?

Rs 17,000, under the rates in force from 1 July 2025. The yearly option for that engine size is Rs 1,400.

Why does BETO say to contact the ETO office?

Your record is missing something, such as a linked CNIC or last payment date, or you have arrears from before July 2025. The ETO office has to fix or clear it first.

Can I pay token tax online for an electric car in Balochistan?

Not on BETO. It says tax for electric vehicles cannot be calculated online and sends you to the ETO office.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked on 29 September 2026. The online payment link, the vehicle verification link and the rate schedule are read on the Excise, Taxation and Anti-Narcotics Department, Balochistan website. The rates, lifetime options, the Rs 120 quarterly penalty, the farm tractor exemption and the electric vehicle rule are read in its "Schedule of Taxes and Fees, w.e.f. 1st July 2025". BETO's steps, the 10-digit mobile format, tax frequencies, the 30-day PSID, the payment channels and every ETO message are read in the BETO application at taxes.excise.gob.pk. The verification form's district list is read at etanb.com. We did not enter a real vehicle or pay a PSID.
