Driving Licence Verification Online in Pakistan by CNIC: Punjab, KP, Islamabad, AJK, Balochistan

Verify a driving licence online in Pakistan by CNIC: the official portal for Punjab, KP, Islamabad, Balochistan and AJK, what each asks for, and Sindh's status.

Driving licence verification in Pakistan is done on the portal of the province that issued the licence: DLIMS for Punjab, ptpkp.gov.pk for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ITP DLIMS for Islamabad, qtp.gob.pk for Balochistan and the AJK Police DLIMS for Azad Kashmir. Each one takes the CNIC, and some also want the licence number.

There is no single national search, so the wrong portal simply says "no record". We opened every portal on 24 October 2026. The table below shows what each one asks for, which ones worked for us, and the two that did not.

Every province keeps its own licence record

Driving licences are issued by provincial and territorial traffic police, not by one federal body. A licence issued in Peshawar sits on the KP system, and a Lahore licence sits on Punjab's DLIMS. Search where the card was made, not where you live now.

Punjab and Islamabad ask for the licence number as well

Punjab's DLIMS and Islamabad's ITP DLIMS both want the licence number together with the CNIC. If you only have a CNIC, these two will not help. Find the number on the card, an old receipt or a photo first.

Punjab's DLIMS Verify License page has three tabs: Regular License, International License and Juvenile License. You enter the CNIC or passport number without dashes, the licence number, and the answer to a small sum. DLIMS lists 042-99202892 and info@dlims.punjab.gov.pk for licence questions. The wider Punjab process is in checking or tracking a licence in Punjab and Sindh.

Islamabad's Verify License page asks for the licence number and a 13-digit CNIC "without dashes". The separate learner permit check is explained in verifying an Islamabad learner permit or licence.

KP and Balochistan search by CNIC alone

The KP and Balochistan forms need only the CNIC, so they are the easiest to use when the card is lost. KP takes the 13 digits without dashes. Balochistan adds a Google captcha box before the Verify button.

On the KP form we entered a dummy CNIC of thirteen 1s and got "No record found." That is the reply to expect for a typing mistake too. The full KP steps, and the e-licence download, are in KPK driving licence verification.

Balochistan's form is on the Quetta Traffic Police site. Its code shows a match returns the holder's name and photo, licence number, father or husband name, CNIC, branch, licence type, category, issue date, expiry date and status. The details are in Balochistan driving licence verification.

What each Pakistani licence portal asks for: CNIC only or CNIC with licence number

How to verify any Pakistani driving licence

Work out which province issued the licence, open that portal, enter exactly what it asks for, and compare the result with the card. If the record is missing or different, check the digits, then call that province's licence office.

  1. Look at the card. The issuing province or district is printed on it.
  2. Open the matching portal from the table above.
  3. Enter the CNIC without dashes, plus the licence number where asked.
  4. Answer the sum or captcha and press Verify.
  5. Match the name, category and expiry date against the card in your hand.

For a driver you plan to hire, run the check with his consent and keep a screenshot. A mismatch between the card and the record is a reason to stop and ask, not to argue later.

Steps to verify a driving licence online in any Pakistani province

Sindh and Gilgit-Baltistan could not be confirmed today

On 24 October 2026 the old Sindh address, dls.gos.pk, showed only the words "Driving License SINDH!" on a blank page. The newer Sindh licence site held us at a security check, and the Gilgit-Baltistan verify page did not load at all.

That does not prove either service is down for you. Both may open normally in a phone browser in Pakistan. But we will not print steps we could not see. For Sindh, our Sindh driving licence guide covers the dlsonline portal as it stood on 1 October. For Gilgit-Baltistan, the Gilgit-Baltistan licence guide records the Verify page we read on 11 October.

Azad Kashmir's verify page loaded for us and asks for the CNIC, the licence number and a small sum. The AJK application steps are in getting an AJK driving licence.

Common questions

Can I verify a driving licence in Pakistan with only the CNIC?

Yes in KP and Balochistan. Punjab, Islamabad and Azad Kashmir also ask for the licence number.

Is there one website for all Pakistani driving licences?

No. Each province and territory runs its own portal, and they do not share one public search.

Why does my licence show no record?

You may be on the wrong province's portal, or a digit is wrong. Check where the card was issued, then retype the CNIC.

How do I verify a Punjab international driving licence?

Choose the International License tab on the DLIMS Verify page, then enter the passport or CNIC details and the licence number.

Is the Sindh licence verification site working?

We could not confirm it on 24 October 2026. The old address showed a blank page and the newer site held us at a security check.

Does verification cost anything?

None of the portals we opened asked for payment to verify a licence.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

On 24 October 2026 we opened the Punjab DLIMS Verify page, the KP traffic police verification page, the Islamabad ITP DLIMS verify page, the Quetta Traffic Police site and the AJK Police DLIMS verify page, and read each form's fields. We submitted one dummy CNIC on the KP form only. We have not seen a real result on any portal. We could not load the Sindh or Gilgit-Baltistan pages that day, and we could not confirm any portal's opening hours or helpline beyond those quoted.
