BISE Gujranwala has told schools and colleges to finish the biometric of certain Class 11 students of session 2026-28 by 30 November 2026. The rule covers students who passed matric before 2026 from Gujranwala, and students who came from another board on a NOC. Students who passed SSC 2026 from Gujranwala need no biometric.
So the first thing to check is which year and which board gave you your matric result. That one fact decides whether this notice applies to you at all.
We read the board's Urdu letter, No. 476 of the Registration branch, dated 5 November 2026, on bisegrw.edu.pk. It is addressed to the heads of all government and private institutions linked to the Gujranwala board. A NOC is a no objection certificate, the paper your old board issues so that a new board can take you.
Two groups of Class 11 students must finish by 30 November
The deadline of 30 November 2026 applies to two groups of Class 11 students. These are older Gujranwala matric passers, and students who passed from another board and joined Gujranwala on a NOC. The notice says the work must be finished in every case.
The board has placed the live picture and biometric records of these students in Biometric Application 9.2, the software that schools and colleges use for this work. Heads of institutions must now complete the biometric of the students shown there.
| Your matric | Biometric needed? | Date |
|---|---|---|
| SSC 2026 from BISE Gujranwala | No | Nothing to do |
| SSC before 2026 from BISE Gujranwala | Yes | By 30 November 2026 |
| Passed from another board, registered in Gujranwala on a NOC | Yes | By 30 November 2026 |

The college does this work, not the student at home
Only the institution can open the board's biometric application for its students. A student should not look for a form online, because the notice names no student portal. The letter tells the heads of institutions to do it, so your first stop is your college office.
This is the part that can go wrong without anyone noticing. A student who joined late, moved colleges or was absent on the day can be missed, and the student may not learn of it for months. Five short checks will settle it.
- Work out your group from the table above, using your matric result card.
- Ask the college office whether your name appears in Biometric Application 9.2.
- Ask for a date for your live picture and fingerprints, and turn up with your documents.
- Check that your name, father's name and date of birth on the record match your B-Form or CNIC.
- Ask the office to confirm once more in the last week of November that it is done.

The notice does not state a penalty for Class 11
Letter No. 476 sets the date but does not say what happens to a student who misses it. We looked for a penalty line in the letter and found none. It says only that the biometric must be completed by 30 November 2026 in every case.
The closest guide is the board's letter for younger students. Its Class 9 biometric notice, No. 475 of 3 November, says admission forms will not be uploaded to the school portal if the biometric is missing. That line is about Class 9, so do not read it as a stated rule for Class 11. Still, it shows how the board treats this step, and we would not take the risk.
Registration and admission are two separate steps at a Punjab board. Registration puts you on the board's record for the two-year session. The admission form, sent later with a fee, enters you for a particular exam.
This is the third Gujranwala date for Class 11 this autumn
Class 11 students have already had a registration date this season. The board extended its regular Class 11 registration to 27 October 2026, and it also issued a readmission schedule for session 2026-28. The biometric is a separate job on top of those.
Students who joined on another board's NOC should keep that NOC and their old result card to hand. The letter does not list documents, so we cannot give you an official list. Ask your college what it needs before your date.
| Need | Where to go |

| Your name is missing from the application | College first, then the board's Registration branch |

Other Punjab boards have their own biometric notices
Gujranwala's date is for Gujranwala students only. Biometric checks at registration are now wider Punjab policy, and other boards set their own rules and dates. A student of BISE Lahore or BISE Rawalpindi should follow that board's notice and not this one.
BISE Rawalpindi, for example, said in a notice of 24 October 2026 that the Punjab boards' committee of chairmen had made biometric attendance compulsory at registration. Fees for other Gujranwala services changed this autumn too, and our list of revised BISE Gujranwala fees has them.
Common questions
What is the last date for the BISE Gujranwala Class 11 biometric?
30 November 2026, under letter No. 476 of the Registration branch, dated 5 November 2026.
I passed matric in 2026 from Gujranwala. Do I need a biometric?
No. The notice says students who passed SSC 2026 from the Gujranwala board do not need it.
I passed matric from Lahore board and moved on a NOC. Does this apply to me?
Yes. Students who passed from another board and registered in Gujranwala after a NOC are covered.
Can I do the biometric at the board office?
The notice does not say so. It tells heads of institutions to complete it in Biometric Application 9.2, so start with your college.
What happens if the biometric is not done?
This letter does not state a penalty. The Class 9 letter blocks admission forms, so treat the date as firm.
