Short answer: Three boards have raised their fees this year. BISE Gujranwala now charges Rs 2,000 to recheck an answer book and Rs 4,100 for IBCC verification. BISE Malakand charges Rs 1,500 for retotaling and Rs 1,500 for a duplicate DMC. BISE DG Khan raised duplicate certificates to Rs 4,100. Pay the new amount, not the old one on a challan form.

A parent walks into a board office with Rs 1,600 for a rechecking fee, the figure printed on last year's challan, and is told the amount is now Rs 2,000. Nobody did anything wrong. The board changed the rate in a meeting and posted it as a notification, and old forms and old websites still show the previous number.

We read three fee notifications on the boards' own websites on 12 October 2026. Below are the exact new rates, the old rates where the board printed them, and how to check you are paying the right sum.

BISE Gujranwala raised seven fees from 19 September 2026

BISE Gujranwala's Notification No. 59/26 says its board approved higher fees in a meeting on 19 September 2026, effective the same day. The notice was issued on 24 September. It lists seven fees, with the existing rate beside the new one.

These are the fee lines printed in the notice. The full challan for a form can carry other heads as well, so read your own challan line by line.

BISE Malakand revised 14 fees with immediate effect

BISE Malakand's notification follows a decision of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa boards committee and approval by its own governors on 23 July 2026. The accounts officer endorsed it on 5 August 2026. It lists 14 services and says all other fees remain unchanged.

The notice also lists Rs 1,000 for enrolment and Rs 1,300 for registration. Malakand did not print the old rates, so we cannot tell you how much each one rose.

BISE DG Khan raised certificate and correction fees

BISE DG Khan notified a new fee structure on 28 August 2026 after its board of governors met on 13 August. It says the rates were set in comparison with BISE Multan and Bahawalpur. The scan we read is low in quality, so we give only the rows we could read with confidence.

The DG Khan notice also shows an increase for corrections of name, father's name and date of birth, and for affiliation fees. Read the notice itself for those rows, because they depend on how many years have passed since the exam.

How to check you are paying the right amount

Ask your board for the current notification, not an old challan or a blog post. Boards post fee notices on their own website. A rate in a PDF dated before the notices above is out of date.

  1. Open your board's website and find the notifications or news section.
  2. Look for a notice titled "revised fee" or "fee structure", dated 2026.
  3. Match the service name on your challan, such as rechecking or duplicate DMC, to the notice.
  4. Compare the amount on the challan with the notice before you go to the bank.
  5. Keep the paid challan until the work is done.
Five steps to check a board fee before paying at the bank

If you are applying for rechecking in Punjab, the steps for rechecking an HSSC result in Punjab show how to file it. For a lost certificate, how to get a duplicate certificate from BISE Lahore shows the process at one Punjab board, and the fee will differ by board.

Fees are set by each board, not by one national table

Each board has its own governors and its own rates. A rechecking fee of Rs 2,000 at Gujranwala does not apply at Lahore or Peshawar. Our guide to a BISE Peshawar migration certificate gives that board's Rs 1,500 migration rate, and the board you actually deal with decides the number.

IBCC verification is a separate step. The IBCC, the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen, equates and attests certificates. The Gujranwala notice lists an "IBCC verification fee" per copy and does not describe the service any further. Our note on IBCC attestation of matric and inter certificates explains why board verification comes first and what the IBCC itself charges.
