BISE Gujranwala Class 9 Biometric Deadline 30 November 2026, or No Admission Form
BISE Gujranwala's last reminder of 3 November 2026 says Class 9 live picture and biometric must be done by 30 November, or admission forms will not upload.

BISE Gujranwala has told every affiliated school to finish the live picture and biometric record of its Class 9 students for session 2026-28 by 30 November 2026. In a "last reminder" dated 3 November 2026, the board says it will not upload the admission forms of students whose biometric is still missing after that date.
That matters for every Class 9 student registered with the Gujranwala board this year. The admission form is what puts a student into the board exam. If the school misses the deadline, the student's form stays off the school portal.
We read the board's Urdu notice, letter No. 475 of the Registration branch, posted on bisegrw.edu.pk on 4 November. The notice is addressed to the heads of all government and private institutions affiliated with the Gujranwala board.
Schools have until 30 November to finish the biometric
The deadline is 30 November 2026. By then each school head must complete the live picture and biometric of all its Class 9 candidates in the board's Biometric Application 9.2. The notice says the full responsibility for any student left out falls on the head of the institution.
This is not a new rule. The board's two earlier letters had already told schools what to do. The 3 November letter is a final warning because, in the board's words, many institutions have still not completed the biometric process.
| Letter | Date | What it said |
|---|---|---|
| No. 467, Registration | 24 August 2026 | Live picture and biometric record of Class 9 candidates is in Biometric Application 9.2 |
| No. 471, Registration | 3 October 2026 | Same instruction repeated to schools |
| No. 475, Registration | 3 November 2026 | Last reminder: finish by 30 November 2026 or admission forms will not be uploaded |

The admission form is blocked without a biometric
The notice says that if the biometric is not done by 30 November, the candidates' admission forms will not be uploaded to the school portal. In practice, a student who is registered but has no biometric record cannot be sent for the board exam through the school.
Registration and admission are two different steps at a Punjab board. Registration (enrolment) puts a student on the board's record for the two-year session. The admission form, sent later with the exam fee, enters the student for a particular exam. The biometric sits between the two, and Gujranwala now says it will not let the second step happen without it.
The rule covers both government and private schools. It applies to the regular candidates of session 2026-28 that schools registered through their portals this year.
What parents and students should check now
The work is done by the school, not by the student at home. But a student who was absent on biometric day, or whose picture failed, can be the one left out. These checks take a few minutes and can save a lost year.
- Ask the class teacher or school office whether your child's live picture and fingerprints have been taken in the board's biometric application.
- If your child was absent on the day, ask for a new slot before 30 November.
- Check that the name, father's name and date of birth on the school's record match the B-Form, since the picture is attached to that record.
- Keep the registration number the school gave you, so you can follow up with the board if needed.
- If the school says the work is done, ask it to confirm once more in the last week of November.
If a scan or picture did not save, ask the school to retry it rather than leave the record blank. A retry in November costs nothing. A missing record in January can cost an exam.

Other Punjab boards are moving the same way
Biometric checks at registration are now a Punjab-wide policy. A BISE Rawalpindi notice of 24 October 2026 says the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen decided at its meeting of 18 February 2026 to make biometric attendance compulsory at registration. Rawalpindi asks schools to take both thumb impressions of Class 11 students with a SecuGen HU20-A fingerprint reader.
Each board sets its own dates, so a Lahore or Rawalpindi student should follow that board's notice rather than this one. Class 9 registration fees and age rules for the Lahore board are in our guide on BISE Lahore Class 9 enrolment.
Where to ask the Gujranwala board
For registration questions, the board's own notices give the online registration branch phone numbers as 055-3894599 and 055-9200751 to 755, extension 120. Most problems, though, are fixed at the school, because only the school can open the biometric application for its candidates.
| Need | Where to go |
|---|---|
| Biometric or live picture not taken | Your school, before 30 November 2026 |
| Registration record wrong | School first, then the board's Registration branch |
| Board phone, online registration | 055-3894599 or 055-9200751 to 755, ext. 120 |
| Other board services | bisegrw.edu.pk and services.bisegrw.edu.pk |
Board fees for other services changed this autumn, and our page on revised BISE Gujranwala fees lists them. For lost documents, see BISE Gujranwala duplicate certificates.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on 5 November 2026. We read the BISE Gujranwala last reminder on Class 9 biometric, letter No. 475 dated 3 November 2026, and the BISE Rawalpindi readmission notice of 24 October 2026 for the Punjab-wide rule. The phone numbers come from the Gujranwala board's own notice of 22 October 2026.
