Check the Class 9 Enrolment Fee and Age Rule at BISE Lahore: Rs 2,300 and 11 Years 2 Months
BISE Lahore Class 9 enrolment for 2026-28 costs Rs 2,300 per student, and the child must be 11 years 2 months old on 1 August 2026. See fees, fines and checks.

Short answer: For the 2026 to 2028 session, BISE Lahore set a Class 9 enrolment fee of Rs 2,300 per student. A child must be at least 11 years 2 months old on 1 August 2026. Government institutions pay Rs 1,150, because they are exempt from the enrolment part of the fee.
Parents hear "the fee is Rs 1,150" from one school and "Rs 2,300" from another. Both can be right. The first is the enrolment charge. The second is the full per student total, and a government school pays only part of it.
We read the revised schedule on BISE Lahore's own website on 12 October 2026. It is dated 9 June 2026 and was issued under a notification of the Punjab boards' Committee of Chairmen dated 8 June 2026. This page breaks it down.
The Class 9 enrolment fee is Rs 2,300 per student in three parts
The board splits the Rs 2,300 into an enrolment fee of Rs 1,150, a processing fee of Rs 870 and a sports fee of Rs 280. Private institutions pay all three. Government institutions are exempt from the enrolment fee and pay Rs 1,150 in processing and sports fees.
| Part of the fee | Rs per student |
|---|---|
| Enrolment fee | 1,150 |
| Processing fee | 870 |
| Sports fee | 280 |
| Total for a private institution | 2,300 |

This is the fee charged to the institution by the board. What a school then asks a parent to pay is the school's own matter. If a government school asks for more than the board's share, ask for the written fee notice.
The student must be at least 11 years 2 months old on 1 August 2026
The board decided on a minimum age for Class 9 enrolment in all affiliated government and private institutions. A student must be at least 11 years and 2 months old, counted to 1 August 2026. The notice lists no exceptions.
Work it out from the date of birth on the B-form. A child born on or before 1 June 2015 meets the age on 1 August 2026. A child born after that date does not, even by a few days.
The Urdu notice is short on this point. It states the age and the cut-off date, and nothing else. If your child falls near the line, ask the board's registration branch before you pay anything.
The fee goes up in two steps after the first window
The fee window had three stages. The first ran from 25 April to 22 June 2026 with no late fee. The second ran from 23 June to 7 July with a late fee of Rs 600 per student. After that, a fine of Rs 600 per day applies, charged per batch or group.
| Period | What applies |
|---|---|
| 25 April to 22 June 2026 | Fee only, no late fee |
| 23 June to 7 July 2026 | Fee plus Rs 600 late fee per student |
| After 7 July 2026 | Fee plus Rs 600 per day per batch or group |
The last stage can run until the triple fee date for the first annual examination 2027 forms, which the board has not yet published. A child who missed enrolment must ask the institution to file it with that fine.
Only online enrolment counts
The institution must enrol students online and pay the fee at the bank. The board does not take manual enrolment returns. The hard copy of the return and the original bank challan must reach the board's office in person or by post.
The student's data is entered with the CNIC or B-form number and the parents' CNIC numbers. The notice says the B-form number must match the form, and the student's recent picture is uploaded at the time. A wrong number means the record has to be corrected later.
A student who is already enrolled and failed Class 9 follows a different step. The rules for that case are in the Class 9 re-admission fee and daily fine.
How a parent can check that enrolment was done
You cannot file the enrolment yourself. You can make sure it happened. Ask the school for the enrolment copy and compare it with your child's B-form.
- Ask the school office for the printed enrolment return page that lists your child.
- Check the name, father's name, date of birth and B-form number against the B-form.
- Check the date of birth gives an age of at least 11 years 2 months on 1 August 2026.
- Ask for the bank challan copy and check the amount against the table above.
- If anything is wrong, ask the school to correct it with the board before the exam forms are filled.

A later change of name or date of birth goes through the board's correction service, not through the school. The board lists the correction portal on its home page. For moving a child between boards, see how to get a migration certificate from BISE Lahore.

A child who fails a Class 9 or Class 10 paper can sit again, and the route is set out in how to sit the Matric second annual exam.
