The schedule covers both regular and private candidates, and applies across the Punjab boards: Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, DG Khan and Sahiwal.
Those three deadlines are not three chances at the same price
This trips up a lot of students, so it is worth stating plainly.
19 August is the single fee date. If you submit between 20 and 25 August you pay the double fee. Between 26 and 29 August it is the triple fee. After 29 August there is no further option listed.
So the difference between filling the form this week and filling it in three weeks is paying two or three times as much for exactly the same exam.
We are not printing the rupee amounts. Boards set their own fee schedules and we have not read the figures on a board notification, so check the amount on your own board's portal rather than trusting a number from a coaching site.
How to submit without getting caught out
- Check exactly which papers you must repeat. Read the result properly rather than going by what a friend told you. You repeat the papers you failed, not the whole exam.
- Go to your own board's official portal. Not a results aggregator, not a link forwarded on WhatsApp. Your board is the one that issued your roll number slip.
- Submit before 19 August to pay the single fee.
- Keep the challan and the confirmation. If the submission is disputed later, that is your only evidence.
- Start studying now. The exam is in October, which sounds far away in August and is not.

Rechecking and re-sitting are two different things
Students mix these up every year and lose the deadline for both.
Rechecking is asking the board to look at your marked paper again, usually to confirm the totalling and that no part was left unmarked. It does not mean the paper is marked afresh by a new examiner. It has its own fee and its own deadline, which is normally short and runs from the result date.
The second annual exam is sitting the paper again in October. That is what this schedule covers.
They are not alternatives you pick between calmly. If you believe the result is a marking error, apply for rechecking straight away, because that window closes fast. But do not let a pending recheck stop you submitting the second annual form before 19 August, because if the recheck does not change the result you will have lost the cheap deadline and possibly all three.
The safe order is to apply for both, and withdraw from the exam if the recheck rescues you. Rechecking rules and fees are set by each board, so confirm yours on the board's own portal rather than assuming.
If you failed more than one paper
You sit each failed paper in the same second annual session. The exam runs from 6 October, and the date sheet will place your papers across that period.
Two practical things follow from that. First, you have roughly eight weeks from now, which is enough for two subjects and tight for more. Second, a date sheet with papers spread over two weeks is not the same as a date sheet with two papers back to back, so wait for it before planning any travel.
If a subject defeated you twice, that is worth treating as information rather than as failure. It may be pointing at the group you should be in rather than the one you were put in.
Failing a paper is not the end of the year
A second annual pass counts. You get your matric certificate, and you move on to college with everybody else, a few months later.
The practical cost is time. Most colleges run their admissions on the annual result, so a second annual candidate is usually looking at admission in the following cycle rather than this one. That is worth planning for now rather than discovering in November.

Watch out for the fake portal problem
Exam season is when lookalike sites appear. A site that asks for a fee through a personal account, or that is not on your board's own domain, is not your board.
