BISP Office Muzaffarabad and Gilgit: Addresses and Phones for All AJK and GB Offices

BISP's zonal office in Azad Kashmir is at Mohri Gojra, Abbottabad Road, Muzaffarabad, phone 05822-920975, and its Gilgit office is near the NBP Cantt Branch in Jutial, phone 05811-920985. BISP lists 30 offices across AJK's 10 districts and 25 across Gilgit-Baltistan's 10 districts. All 55 addresses and numbers are below, from Neelum and Bhimber to Hunza, Skardu and Ghanche.

AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan have the best phone coverage in BISP's whole list: every AJK office has a number, and only one GB office does not. That matters in mountain districts where the next office may be a long drive away. We read BISP's regional office list on 24 October 2026 and copied both tables, minus officers' names.

Azad Kashmir has 30 BISP offices, and every one has a phone

BISP lists a zonal office in Muzaffarabad, a district office in each of AJK's other districts, and tehsil offices below them. All 30 rows carry a number. BISP printed most AJK numbers without the leading zero, so we added it.

BISP gives the Director AJ&K a separate line, 05822-924111. For routine cases, use your district or tehsil office: Rawalakot for Poonch, Pallandri for Sudhnoti, Kahuta for Haveli and Athmuqam for Neelum. The Khurshidabad number was printed as 823921782; it matches the Haveli district office's 05823-921782, so treat that as its line.

Gilgit-Baltistan has 25 BISP offices across 10 districts

BISP's GB table runs from Gilgit, Nagar and Hunza in the north to Skardu, Shigar, Kharmang and Ghanche in Baltistan, and Astore, Diamer and Ghizer. Only the Nagar-I office in Nagar Khaas has no number.

The Director Gilgit-Baltistan's line on BISP's list is 05811-920980 or 05811-920981. Skardu's office is on Muhib Road, phone 05815-920117, and Chilas's district office is opposite the Rescue 1122 office. In winter, roads to high valleys can close, so call before you travel to Gojal, Yasin or Gultari.

What you can do at a BISP office in AJK or GB

BISP says every tehsil office houses a Benazir registration centre and accepts complaints, with the helpline 0800-26477 as the other route. The offices also hand out the free Benazir SIM and accept next of kin papers after a beneficiary dies.

• Survey. For a household that 8171 calls not eligible. BISP says no form is needed.
• Complaint. Missing payment, a wallet problem or a deduction by an agent.
• Benazir SIM. Free, and only from the designated BISP office.
• Next of kin. The deceased's CNIC, NADRA's cancellation certificate, the death certificate and family CNICs.
• Hunarmand. Registration for BISP's skills training, one matric pass person per family.

BISP's Kafaalat page also lists a past "Special Relief Package for Population Living along LOC in AJ&K" among its emergency programmes. When such a package runs, ask your district office how to claim it.

Take your original CNIC and the phone BISP messages

The woman named on the record should go in person with her original CNIC and the phone that gets BISP messages. There is no form for the survey and no fee, BISP's chairperson said in August 2026.

1. Check your status on the 8171 web portal and note the reply.
2. Find your tehsil or district office in the tables.
3. Call it to check it is open, especially in winter.
4. Take the original CNIC, your phone and, for a death case, the four sets of papers.
5. Ask for a token or complaint number.

BISP charges nothing, and your SIM is yours alone

On 25 August 2026 BISP's chairperson said there is no fee for any scheme, service or survey, the Benazir SIM is free, and women must never hand their phone or SIM to an agent.

Keep each credit SMS. If an agent cuts your BISP payment, that message shows the full amount. Since June 2026 you can draw the money from an agent of any of BISP's six partner institutions, which helps in small towns with one or two shops.

If the office does not answer, use 0800-26477

We did not call the numbers on BISP's list. The toll free BISP helpline, 0800-26477, takes complaints from AJK and GB like anywhere else.

Regional schemes are separate from BISP. AJK's subsistence allowance for widows, orphans and disabled people is run by the AJK government, so the BISP office cannot process it.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read BISP's Regional Offices Contact Numbers page on 24 October 2026 and copied the AJ&K and Gilgit-Baltistan tables as published, adding the leading zero to AJK numbers and fixing small spelling slips. We also read BISP's Kafaalat page, its press releases of 18 June, 30 June and 25 August 2026, the September 2026 newsletter and the 8171 portal the same day. The list has no date or hours, and we did not call the numbers.
